I had the pleasure of staying at The Gertrude while renovating my home, and it was truly a perfect home away from home. The guesthouse was warm, welcoming, and incredibly comfortable. It’s beautifully decorated—stylish, cozy, and thoughtfully curated with all the little details that make a space feel special.It had everything I needed for an extended stay, and the location couldn’t be better—just three blocks from downtown Mount Dora, close enough to walk to shops and restaurants, yet peaceful and relaxing at the end of the day.I can’t recommend this guesthouse highly enough. Thank you for such a wonderful, comforting stay!

there could not have been a more perfect location for our stay in Mount Dora. the rental unit is perfect for a couple. Clean, well-appointed, and charming. Talia was responsive and very attentive. For this movie buff it was TWO THUMBS UP, for sure!

A Perfect Weekend Getaway

The Gertrude is five star in every way. My friend and I came to Mount Dora for a weekend getaway and could not have been more pleased with our stay. We did not need our car until we were ready to leave. The property was perfect. We loved exploring historic Mount Dora but couldn’t wait to get back to our beautiful home away from home. We had everything we needed and more. Don’t hesitate to book this little piece of Heaven. You are in for a treat. Thank you to Talia for being an amazing host and property manager. This rental was IMPECCABLE!! Beautiful, had everything you could want or need. The bed was very comfortable . Very close to downtown. Cute downtown- had fun shopping and eating!

Amazing location

It’s a beautiful townhouse with a great bathroom and a super comfortable king bed. We were one block from downtown and loved walking to all the shops and restaurants. My only complaint was that the people who rented the other side of the townhouse were very loud and we could make out conversations while trying to sleep. Overall a good experience and we will come back.

Exceeded my expectations! Excellent location-waking distance to lovely downtown Mount Dora!

Renting this property was the best decision I made. The reservation was easy to make and the confirmation and additional information on our selection was replied to us immediately. Upon arrival we were pleased to find the house in pristine condition just as pictured. We parked the car in a roomy garage, we walked up the stairs and were pleasantly surprised to find a charming, clean and comfortable home away from home. We delighted in the short walk to the Mount Dora craft show and had the best time! We definitely recommend this company and we hope to be back soon!

As described!

Property was exactly as described. Very clean. Very comfortable. And very conveniently located. My wife and I enjoyed a four night stay in March. Downtown was just a short walk (2-3minutes) and had several very nice restaurants. The lake (also a short walk) was very nice as well. Talia was a very accommodative host and responded to inquiries quickly. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet retreat in a very nice, small town.

First time staying at Mount Dora. Great town highly recommend this destination and this property. Great location walk to everything the town has to offer. The townhouse was very nice and clean and property manager was always on hand anytime we had any issues or questions and also let us have an early checkin which was very helpful. If your looking for a new place to visit definitely checkout mount dora also added bonus was tennis and pickle ball right next door!

Wedding night getaway

My new husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding and the next night as well. It was immaculate, beautiful, comfortable, and soooooo close to downtown! We didn’t have to look for parking because we just walked everywhere and it was awesome. Talia was so easy and quick to communicate with too. We loved it and already planning our trip back!!
