Lumpy Bed

The bed was awful. My wife and I spent 3 sleepless nights in this lumpy bed. Even the foldout couch, which we tried sleeping on instead, left us sore and tired. I would easily give this location 4 stars if the bed was upgraded.

Loved the location across the street from the lake. Traffic picks up early morning, but was quiet during the night. Place has everything you'd need, very clean and well equipped.

Short drive to both of these places. Nice neighborhood with nice lakes. Canoes are available to rent nearby. Cozy and very clean!

Cottage by the pond

The property is very nice and convenient to Acadia NP - cottage is big enough for 2 but not for a family with children- full size bed is a bit small for 2 adults -there is really no view to the pond do to tress ( if they would be trimmed you could see the pond better)-close to Long Pond which has public access where one could swim or launch a Kajak -we enjoyed our stay and had a great experience with Vrbo

Cute little cabin

The place was super cute and very clean and organized. The only problem was my husband is tall and we had a hard time sleeping because it’s only a double bed. Probably I missed that in the description. I fell in the national park and we had to leave a day early (I’m fine now), but other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing with easy access to everything Acadia!

we really enjoying staying in this cottage. it was the perfect size and equipped with everything we could possibly need. the location was perfect and made it easy for us to rent kayaks and spend time exploring Long Pond right across the street. we were also close to everything we were interested in doing in Acadia NP. wish we could stay again in October but it’s already booked.

Great stay, perfect location

Beautiful little cottage, perfect for our 20th anniversary redo of our honeymoon. Kitchen was well stocked with dishwasher, stove/oven, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, and toaster oven. Had all the pots, pans, and dishes/utensils we could want. There was a grill outside but we really didn't make time to grill. Bathroom was well stocked with all the towels and basic hotel sized toiletries. Bedroom has a full sized bed (with linen), serta sleep pillows, and extra blankets. There is plenty of storage to make this a home away from home. Location was PERFECT! Easy 15min drive into main Acadia points and Bar Harbor. Side yard is a beautiful section of wild flowers. Front deck and pathway are well maintained and beautiful as well. There's a Freshies gas station/deli up the road that was a great quick stop each morning. And a little mom & pop pizza shop a little further up the road that had great pizza! The ease of this cottage was amazing! Would definitely book again.

Honeymoon cottage near Acadia

The stay at the cottage was nice. The address is mislabeled on Google. We contacted the property manager asking if it was correct. The address situation is still not resolved. We felt it wasn’t too clean. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived. General musty odors in cabinets, sheets, and blankets. The cottage was very damp even on sunny days. Towels were not drying. The deck, kitchen, and bathroom were all nice and updated and having the grill was a big perk. It was about 15-20 minutes away from anything on the island which made it easy to commute. We have the location as three stars because it was very close to major road.

Great cottage!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The entire cottage was well stocked -- plenty of bathroom materials, multiple box fans, and plenty of pots/pans in kitchen. The location was perfect! We mostly did hiking on the quiet side, but easy access to Bar Harbor and Schoodic when desired. A fantastic space for a couple. We'd happily return and stay again.

My husband and I were so impressed with the cleanliness of the house and we lacked for nothing. The owners thought of every little detail. That is amazing. It is not the owners fault, but the listing and the information that VRBO posted about the property. It was indicated that there was a washer/dryer on premises. That would have been helpful, if we had stayed longer. Please be sure when sending emails for the upcoming arrival, that they are accurate with amenities. The distance to Long Pond was perfect and the rental for the water sports was so convenient. The size of the house was perfect for my husband and I. It was "cozy" and we were pleased with the pricing and accessibility. Please note my only concern with communicating the correct amenities on behalf of the owner. False presentations shouldn't occur and the renter should have their expectations fulfilled for the price that is quoted and paid for.
