Perfect quiet getaway, clean, well stocked kitchen and nice appliances, great view, nice deck, great location, amazing lake, comfy beds. Very close to Acadia NP.

Our family had a wonderful, peaceful stay on Long Pond. The property was private, quaint, immaculate, and well-kept. The views and access to the lake were stunning, while still within a short driving distance to Bar Harbor and many hiking trails across Acadia. Highly recommended!

Gorgeous, state of the art. Beds very comfy Owner thought of everything..Coffee bar, USB port plug-ins. Driveway difficult to manuever 2 cars...helpful to have a bigger turnaround area!

Amazing Sunrises

Amazing Sunrises on Long Pond whether on the deck or sitting beside the coffee bar. Clean cottage has everything you need for cooking, reading, relaxing or washing off the day from a long hike. Owner provided great information for first timers to Maine. Our week at Long Pond Cottage was perfect!

Long Pond Cottage is a literal piece of heaven. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. The view of the lake is the best! On top of that you can watch the loons swim by, hear them calling up the lake, and easily put a kayak in from the dock the explore and relax. This was our second year staying at the cottage and we will definitely be back!

Great cabin

Lovely property, as advertised. Well stocked and comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay, and Lori’s info sheet was very helpful to us as we navigated the area.

Cabin on lake

One of our favorite places we’ve stayed… great view. Couldn’t ask for a better backdrop to bbq dinner each night. Sons caught lots of bass. Hiking all around us and plenty of places to go eat… fantastic cabin and area for vacation

Wonderful location!

The cottage had gorgeous views and was the perfect size for our family. Mornings were spent fishing off the dock in the beautiful lake and enjoying some quiet time while having coffee. The cottage was spotless and Lori made sure we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back!

Lovely Lakeside

Long Pond Cottage provided a delightful home base for us and our pup. It was comfortable, well-equipped, and convenient to everything. Lori was super responsive and helpful. Being right on the lake was lovely and made kayaking easy and fun. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay on Long Pond

Long Pond Cottage is beautifully situated, with unobstructed views down the pond to Beech Mountain from the dining room, deck, and dock. The cottage was incredibly clean and well-stocked, and Lori was very quick to respond to questions I had before and during our stay. This is our third trip to Long Pond but our first stay at Lori's...and now we can't imagine staying anywhere else!

Love Long Pond

House was brand new, clean as a whistle, and everything was just where you’d want it to be! Easy in and out, and a nice layout for friends or family… a pleasant central area with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths off it. Very well planned out and right on top of the lake with lovely views!

Maine Stay

One of the best properties we have ever stayed in. It is very clean and has everything you might need. The house is very organized and functional. The best part is the location! Close to everything, but very peaceful and relaxing. The views are outstanding! I would highly recommend this property to others.

Return to Acadia

A beautiful cottage to decompress, breathe, listen, and share my love of Acadia with my three 20-something daughters and husband. Lori (host) was incredibly helpful with information and ideas and responded quickly to inquiries.

Loons!

We had a great week despite the rainy weather. The house was perfect for a rainy week because of the beautiful windows and lake view. The house had all the comforts of home but felt like vacation. I highly recommend!

Great stay on Long Pond

We were very happy with our stay, this house is great, right on the water with dock. It had everything we needed for cooking great meals. It’s very centrally located and it was easy to get to all of our activities in Acadia and Bar Harbor. Lori was great to work with and responded very quickly to any questions we had. We highly recommend this house.

The Barn exceeded expectations. Judging by the photos, we knew it would be nice but it was even better than we had hoped. Check in was simple and the place had everything you could hope for. The amenities were great, especially the kitchen, bed and shower. The views of the mountains were spectacular and the hot tub and fire pit were a nice way to wind down at night. We were a little concerned about the drive to and from downtown but it was no more than 10-12 minutes in either direction. We did see two bears, one on the drive up to check in and one in the morning on the property. No issues either time.We would stay here again without hesitation. The price was more than reasonable for what we got in return. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Rainbows and bald eagles

This is our second stay at this beautiful property located on crystal clear Long Pond. The house has everything you could need to enjoy Acadia National Park. We hiked, fish, swam, and enjoyed the surrounding communities. But our favorite memories of the trip are watching not one but two rainbows as the sun set, as well as watching the sky dancing of pair of bald eagles beginning their mating ritual. Just magical!

Heaven

Part of me doesn't want to tell you what a special place Long Pond is so it doesn't get too crowded! This place is right on the pond and was recently redone so well. Everything in the place is top notch and well thought out. Lori even bought us a Lobster Pot when I asked her if she had one. Good people, good place. Highly recommend

Lakeside Hideaway

Clean, very well-stocked accommodations. Home sits about 2 feet off the lake offering wide-open views of Long Pond. Very quiet location. There were lots of puzzles & Board games available. Owner did a great job of providing extensive info about restaurants and things to do on Mount Desert Island, and was very responsive. Had a wonderful week and would definitely return!

Beautiful lake cottage

We spent a week at this beautiful place. The view of the lake is amazing. Such a peaceful spot. The house was immaculately clean and well stocked. The owners were very helpful and considerate. The beds were comfortable. The house is in a good location to cover all of MDI/Acadia National Park. We were able to drive to all nearby activities and then come back to the house for a peaceful evening on the lake. We had 4 adults on our trip and did not feel crowded. Highly recommend.

The Perfect Lake House Getaway

We recently stayed at Long Pond Cottage for a mother daughter vacation with our two dogs and it was everything we had hoped it would be and more. The house itself is the perfect size and very comfortable, with absolutley everything you could need. The natural light and views from the windows make the place feel surreal. Then add in the loons floating by and calling up and down the lake, we thought we were in heaven. The location is perfect with most of all major area attractions in Acadia and Bar Harbor only 15-20 minutes away! I cant recommend this vacation home enough and cant wait to return next year!
