The family had a nice time at the house and in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s a beautiful secluded house in the woods but close to stores if you need them . The kitchen is very nice and has everything you need. My only complaint is to fix some of the holes in the walls and to clean the carpets with stains . I could see a lot of holes where patched but had not been painted. The only other concern was the gravel road leading to the house had a lot of dangerous spots that messed up one of our cars with all of the pot holes or the way the gravel road has deteriorated over time. Overall we enjoyed our time there and the host kept in touch . We had an issue with the hot tub and the host stayed in touch to make sure everything was working correctly. We got it fixed and all good. I would recommend the stay to others and we enjoyed our quiet family time together.

Our friends and family really enjoyed New Hope Retreat. Plenty of room to visit together. Hanging out in the living room and open kitchen. The game room was so much fun right by the indoor pool. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Property is in decent proximity to downtown Blue Ridge. The house has many amenities although dated. The house wasn't as clean as I would have normally expected. I found dirty dishes in the dishwasher that I had to run and put away. Some surfaces had dust and some bugs throughout the house. Cost to have the pool heated is unreasonably expensive (100/ day). I was alarmed to find out that someone, likely associated with the property, entered the property while we were away without me being notified. I alerted the manager through and was never given an explanation. Overall ok but a bit mismanaged and would not rent again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The check in process went well! The property manager regularly keeps in touch throughout your stay to make sure everything is up to par. We had a minor incident when we got to the house regarding a cleaning situation but it’s was quickly rectified with no issue! This home is ideal for a multi family getaway! Lots of room and rooms for everyone to have space and privacy. The home is secured in the woods but also close to all areas of Blue Ridge. We’ll definitely come back during the summer to enjoy more amenities this home and area has to offer!

My sister and I and ate kids and grandkids had a wonderful stay at Thanksgiving. The pool was perfect for letting the 2 younger ones burn off some energy. We may book again for this Thanksgiving!

We had a great time despite 3 days of rain. Had young grandchildren who loved the indoor pool….they were able to have fun while it rained. The very large deck with hot tub was wonderful. Well appointed kitchen. Plenty to do at the house and in Blue Ridge. Also enjoyed a fire one night

Property is well off the beaten path, so if it's quiet you're after this is the place. The bedrooms were very large and plenty of bathrooms. The pool is very large but if you're thinking not to heat it, my suggestion is to rethink it. It can get quite cold at night.

Very dirty with layers of Dust, vents were filled with lint. We had to wipe down the banister hand rails and stairs. Wipe the door handles. Didn’t enjoy the movie room snacks because mold and liquid in the popcorn containers. Dryer vent not attached or cleaned out after each guest so filled - Fire hazard! Plus NO smoke detectors on the walls (in closets without batteries) Violation code broken! After we booked the home, received an email if we wanted the pool heated (not in budget so declined and couldn’t use all because too cold) when we called manager, they sent cleaners out, BUT we did a lot already. Couldn’t do a deep clean since we were present. Said do it tomorrow when we are gone and they said too busy. Told me we will get cleaning fee refunded, no Refund! Definitely ripped off with that charge! We didn’t even walk barefoot in that place.

Our family had a wonderful stay this week at New Hope Retreat. We enjoyed every single thing about this property! The kitchen, bedrooms, and living area provided ample space for our crew of 8 adults and 5 children. The pool is great(we paid extra for heating after reading other reviews). The game room, hot tub, fire pit and theatre room were popular with everybody. We made so many good memories this week and hope to return next year. The host was great at communicating everything we needed to know. Thanks for a great getaway!

Everything came as advertised including the fantastic indoor pool. Clean, well-maintained house and property. Sure, there are signs of wear in the house but very typical of a house of this age and nothing major to truly complain about. The pool is large for being indoor. Deep at 8' at one end. We opted for the heating and it was worth it for us. I can imagine the little ones would get very cold in mountain city water temp. The temp gauge showed 80-82 degrees water temp, again as advertised. The one star detract for "location" is the dirt driveway. Was concerned about getting stuck driving down it in the minivan but no issues there. I can imagine your car will get muddy on a wet day. We did not have wet days during our stay. The trash chest has some loose garbage in it and does smell. The trash will only be taken in bags. You may get a whiff here and there when taking out your garbage. Again, not a big deal. Hot tub worked perfectly. Grill worked perfectly. All appliances worked perfectly. You can tell that the owners do take care of the house. One other big positive working with the management. Although I was never able to connect with them on the phone, email contacts were quickly responded to. 15-20 min from Blue Ridge, 5 min to Morganton. Easy drives for a day out. Plenty of grocery stores and restaurants. We also did a fishing excursion on Lake Blue Ridge. The marina was 5 min away in Morganton. Great day of fishing with a bunch of spotted bass caught.

My family and I had a great stay! We loved all the amenities at the home. Also, it’s a short drive (around 15 minutes) to downtown Blue Ridge which has tons of great restaurants. I would definitely recommend this property if you’re looking for a great vacation for either a small or large group of people. I’d love to stay here again in the future! The host gave a lot of information about the property and surrounding area prior to our stay. They were very quick to respond to any questions and were very kind!

This home is nice with ample bedroom space, however the living room furniture although very modern is not comfortable or cozy. The couch was broken in the middle and one side. The home needs an overhaul cleaning. Cobwebs are everywhere, even hanging from the ceiling and the vents are full of dirt. The path to the front door is very overgrown and looks like a snake is waiting to come out.
