No partial refund for a broken hot tub. Unacceptable.
My friends & I were so excited for this trip. We had two main reason for booking Blue Ridge Bliss: 1) They allowed pets with a small pet fee, and 2) HOT TUB. "Blue Ridge Bliss - Hot Tub..." was the name of the listing and the first photo is of the hot tub...working.
Unfortunately, we discovered the first night that the hot tub was not working. I reached out to the host that evening; they responded around lunch-time the next day with instructions. We went back to the cabin and tried those instructions, but they did not work either. When I let them know their instructions did not work, they did not write back. I had to write again the next day to get a response. This is now day 3 of a 5 day visit.
Day 3: hosts said they'd call maintenance. Then they said maintenance couldn't come until the next day, Day 4 but they'd let me know when they were on their way.
Day 4: No one came. The responses to my messages went unanswered for hours and when they did respond it was "oh, I'm sorry, they said they'd be there." Then they'd stop responding right at 5 pm.
Then at 8 pm we heard a noise outside and found a man gathering our garbage (which was full from the previous guests) without letting us know he was there. It was startling to say the least.
Day 5: We check out. While my friends and I had a great time and the place was comfy and well stocked, we booked it for a hot tub we never had.
