The property was lovely, and we would recommend for location and features, but I would suggest three things: 1) A sign for the second bathroom. We were on a panic because we couldn’t find it next to the laundry. 2) Lots of spider webs on the outdoor furniture. 3) Paper towels or napkins would be a welcome addition, especially for short stays. Other than those minor suggestions, it was a great stay. We would recommend! Thanks for the fans! With the high temps during our stay, the fans were much appreciated

Cosy accommodation in central location
This cosy barn conversion is in a convenient central location within a short walk of shops and restaurants in Moreton in Marsh - a great base for exploring the cotswolds. Our short break included a visit to nearby Batsford arboretum, providing a peaceful setting and welcome shade on a hot day.

Amazing place and host!!
My family of 4 (me, my husband, 18 and 14 year old kiddos) had an amazing stay here. It was SO clean and Nic was amazing anytime we needed anything. The hot water was not working the first morning and there was someone there within 5 minutes of talking to Nic and had hot water in less than 10 minutes. The location was perfect. After 5/6 days in London, it was the perfect countryside get away. We really enjoyed being able to cook our own meal one evening and play card games each night. I cannot recommend this place enough!! I hope the next couple/family staying here enjoyed it as much as we did :)

Unbelievably convenient
We wanted to visit the Cotswolds, but drive on the left? Train? Tour? Bus? This cottage was perfect. We took the train from London, and wheeled our bags the 1 1/2 blocks to the cottage easily, despite being in our 70s and one using a cane. We met our wonderful GoCotswold tour the next day at the station, and could have taken another train or bus from there, also. We had fine meals and shops within walking distance. The people were friendly and the cottage was just fine. It could not have been a better choice for us!

Comfortable accommodation in lovely town
Good single level and private accommodation with parking in a quiet street. Very close to the centre of a large town with lots of choices for pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Just wonderful
We had a lovely stay in Moreton-in-Marsh. This location was in the heart of town, and close to the train station, but my husband and I both commented on how quiet the location was. The space was perfect to come home to after a day of hiking and to relax by the fire. We both slept so well and overall loved our stay. We will be back!

Weekend break
The communication with the owner was fantastic, she gave us lots of information of the local area, places to visit and eat. We enjoyed a few of her recommendations. Property was clean, warm and welcoming.

Perfect location for the village
Pretty cottage cleaning of the kitchen ie. oven, fridge, crockery in cupboard needs looking at. Fine for most people I am sure but do not recommend for older, larger or disabled as the lounge seating is small and uncomfortable to sit for any length of time. There was a slight sewage smell from the off in the shower room/laundry, and the overflow in the kitchen sink was blocked and smelled bad. Parking was for one car only but this was not made obvious until final notification before the break.

Regarding the sofas, personal preferences can vary, and I understand that not everyone may find the seating as comfortable as others do. In relation to the blocked drainage and sewer smell, I personally inspected the property both before and after your stay, and I couldn't find any evidence of these issues. If I had been informed about them during your stay, I would have promptly investigated and taken the necessary actions to resolve them for you. Lastly, regarding parking, I want to acknowledge that I clearly state in the property description that there is only one parking space available. Furthermore, I provide information on where guests can park a second car in my welcome email, which is sent to guests two weeks prior to their arrival. A Comfortable Cottage in a Charming Town
This pretty, modernized cottage has everything one needs for self catering and comfort. It’s location couldn’t be better, a two- minute walk from the train station and from the town’s high street, yet set back in a courtyard that is quiet with no train or traffic noise. Communication with the owner was easy and pleasant. The charming market town of Moreton in Marsh is a perfect introduction to the Cotswolds with antiques shops, art galleries, fine dining in beautiful old inns, traditional pubs, an authentic (and delicious) chippy, and the opportunity for country walks. No car is needed—everything is in walking distance.—although the cottage does provide an off-street parking space.

Best location in the Cotswolds
We’ve been in many VRBO rentals but this is our all time favorite! Quaint and quiet, the perfect location in the charming town of Moreton-in-Marsh. Close to the train station and tour opportunities. We enjoyed a wonderful tour of the Cotswolds while here.

Super host with very comfortable cottage
Nic is a super host. He has organised everything you need for a stay away from home. Well decorated and equipped with all basic necessities, dove cottage is tucked in a quiet area close to market square which makes it an ideal location to stay and explore Cotswold. Lot of indoor games and books which we enjoyed with kids. Highly recommend

Comfortable cottage, lovely location
The things I liked about this property were Comfortable beds Comfortable sofas Very well stocked kitchen Ideal location, both for Moreton high street and other Cotswold villages. I recommend a visit to Sezincote House and Gardens which is only a few minutes away but seems to be a well kept secret

Great base for a stay in the Cotswolds
We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was well-appointed, tastefully decorated, and extremely comfortable. We found it to be a perfect location for exploring the Cotswolds. Great recommendations from the host for sites to visit and restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Perfect cottage and location
Our stay at Dove cottage was lovely. The cottage was well equipped and adorable! Just a short walk from the train station and town. Nic was very communicative and there was plenty of information for local restaurants! Would recommend this property.

Home Away From Home
This was our second stay at Dove Cottage. We visited in 2019 and it perfectly suited our needs as a home base in the Cotswolds. The cottage is comfortable, cozy and clean. It is also easily accessed from both the train station and bus stop. Shops are close by and the kitchen is nicely fitted if you want to stay in and cook. It’s so nice to have laundry on-site when traveling and that was greatly appreciated. Nic is a responsive host and quickly replies to any questions.

Great location
Moreton in marsh is a great location to tour round the cotswolds and this property is in a great spot just off the high street. Having 2 bathrooms is also a benefit. Would stay again.

small problem!
On the whole, we liked the property and location. The only problem, was the fact that the doors on both showers were faulty. neither doors closed properly and appeared to be loose at the bottom, spilling water during showering.

A perfect property' for our holiday
Dove Cottage was ideal for our Cotswolds break with our friends. Perfectly located for access to Moreton-in-Marsh High Street. A very comfortable and well equipped cottage. Having a bathroom and en-suite bathroom suited us perfectly.

I found the place really nice and homely and in a good location. Accessible wise I was not a lot all not really but for me that's ok because I can walk around with help. The cottage took a long time to heat up. overall I liked it.

Excellent place to stay in Moreton in the Marsh. 2 minutes walk from the High Street with many restaurants and pubs. Facilities were good, plenty of wood for the woodburner. Only parking for one car but the car park next door was only £2 a day so no great problem. I would recommend this for a short stay in the Cotswolds.

Fantastische lokatie
prima vakantiewoning in een fantastische omgeving. De prijs voor de woning is wel wat aan de hoge kant. Voor dat geld had er wel een vaatwasser in mogen zitten. Verder een prima uitvalsbasis voor een fantastische vakantie in de Cotswolts.

Nice stay in the Cotswolds
Location was perfect, just two mins walk from Moreton-in-Marsh with plenty of cafes, pubs and shops. There's a public car park next to the barn which is handy if you have more than one car and only £2/day. The barn was lovely, slightly cramped with four adults, but it was lovely weather so we enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard or enjoying one of the many pub gardens nearby. The only negatives from the trip were that the pillows in both bedrooms were a bit flat and unsupportive and the shower in the ensuite was very small so ended up bashing elbows on the sides. Other than that, was a nice stay.

Great place for a Cotswolds visit.
Wonderful property! Very convenient to all that the Cotswolds offers and well appointed. The kitchen had all you could need for a stay. Very clean and lots of shops, pubs and sites nearby. Nic is very responsive and quickly attended to a very minor issue we had. I would definitly recommend and stay there again.

Perfect Home Base for the Cotswolds
Dove Cottage is certainly one of the nicest holiday rentals we’ve stayed at. We arrived an hour early on the train from London and were able to check in right away as the cleaners were just finishing up. The cottage is spotless, spacious, well appointed and very conveniently located for train and bus transit. The cottage is just a block from the shops, restaurants, coffee shops in lovely Moreton-In-Marsh. We were able to take public transit to many places we visited. Nic was a responsive and helpful host. The photos really don’t do the cottage justice! We would highly recommend Dove Cottage to other travelers.

Nic's house was located close to the town, its small but comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. The bathrooms maybe a bit small if you are a big person. Well stocked and convenient! We enjoyed our stay
