The property was perfect for our group of 12. The kitchen was delightful to cook in and we enjoyed every meal and board game around the huge dining room table. Touring the lake in a kayak and walking the loop around the lake were both wonderful activities.

Amazing house! Our large family had room to spread out. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all. Lots of activities to do right on site with the kayaks, standing paddle boards, pool table, foosball table and ping-pong table. The kids played for hours on the nice sand beach. The well stocked kids playroom kept the kids busy for hours with games, toys, play loft and dress-up opportunities. The adults got to enjoy the hot tub overlooking the lake. Convenient to the supermarket and a couple of outings to the zoo and hiking trails. Nice quiet walks around the lake. Communication was great and they were quick to answer all my questions.

Gorgeous house on the lake

A beautiful home with lots of spaces. Fantastic outdoor areas and kayaks provided. Host is amazing and game rooms also very nice for all. We had an amazing week and enjoyed all of the homes thoughtful touches.

Wow!!! What an amazing home and stay! We had such an amazing week on the lake and wished we could have stayed another week! The house was super clean, very comfortable and large enough that everyone had their own space. The layout is so open and spacious, and the amenities (deck, kayaks, hot tub, game room, pool table, etc.) were awesome. The lake view and privacy were perfect, and everyone in the Montrose area were so nice. The host was super responsive and helpful! We certainly plan to be back!!

Wonderful for large family vacations.

My family and I had a wonderful stay here. The house was stunning!!! The lake was very quiet and my grandchildren and children loved kayaking. Evenings with an outdoor fire were very relaxing.

Fantastic Lake House

This house and location are fantastic. We had 12 people (9 adults, 3 teens) and everyone had enough space. The lake was great for kayaks and paddle boards (provided) and swimming. It’s a quiet lake so you’ll have it all to yourself most of the time. Hosts are very responsive and friendly.

Family weekend getaway

We had a spectacular long weekend and wished we could have stayed longer. The house was large enough that everyone had their own space(No need to share a bathroom!) The layout, amenities(workout room, game room, pool table,etc), lake view and privacy were perfect.

The Great Escape

The house is fantastic. It is a perfect getaway for friends and families. It was spacious and had amenities for all to enjoy. It was a bit of a drive to elk mountain ski resort but well worth the drive. The views of the lake and the mountains were amazing. Thanks for a great stay

Perfect Family Vacation!

This is - hands down - the best rental our family has ever enjoyed. The house is incredible in every way. Our family of 8 adults enjoyed this beautiful home which was equipped with everything we needed to enjoy a perfect week on Heart Lake. Each couple had a private room and bathroom. We used every bit of the sprawling, well-equipped kitchen and outdoor grill to make big family meals every night. There were enough kayaks and paddle boards for our lake adventures and the hot tub and fire pit were amazing. The house has so many thoughtful nooks and crannies, and the rooms were comfortable and perfect for giant family meals, relaxing, and games. The supermarket and liquor store were just a quick 5 minutes down the road, but the house felt secluded and tucked away from everything. We enjoyed beautiful, scenic walks around the lake and surrounding area. Gretchen was so nice and accommodating. We would love to come back again! Thank you, Gretchen! You made our family so happy.

Amazing!

This property is incredible! The size, layout, location, amenities were all top notch. Further, the owner, Gretchen, is an absolute delight and made sure we had everything we needed. The house was full with family spread all over..the lake, the workout room, the game room, the pool table, the outdoor kitchen, with the sounds of fun coming from all directions, yet no one was in each others' way. We look forward to coming back for many years to come!

Great time

There is so much to do here that everyone was happy and busy the whole week. This is a particularly good rental for kids. While we had no teens with us I would imagine they would have a great time tubing on the lake and playing the video games. Our young grandchildren had the time of their life playing in the sand, fishing, playing ping pong (with parents), playing video games etc. I was a little concerned taking such young children to a lake but it was totally safe. The house has a really fun bedroom for little girls; our 4 granddaughters loved it. The kitchen is well stocked. The only thing we could not find was a dustpan so we donated one to the house. The outside seating areas were really nice also, both covered and uncovered. As a gardener, I really enjoyed the landscaping and our daughter took pictures to use for ideas to landscape behind her new house. We lost electricity twice but it did not matter because they have a big enough generator to cover all the needs of the house. The only complaint I have is the house is rather dark. I think the house would benefit from lighter shades of paint on the walls. But that is a small issue compared to all the positives this house has to offer. All in all, this is a great place for a vacation week.

Great house for family reunion

Everything was excellent and we were amazed how good and thoughtfully this house is equipped and well maintained. The major big bedroom is very comfortable and you can spend hours in the bathroom with two showers. The lake view is unforgettable and beautiful. The only confusion that we had is one of the bedrooms was listed as a queen size bad and that this is have a crib, but we found a full bed with no crib. it was not so comfortable for two people to share this bed. Our family mad a great time

Excellent stay at gorgeous lake house

This is a top notch rental! The house was in spectacular condition. The owners were extremely responsive and kind, immediately texting answers to any questions. There are numerous beautiful bedrooms, a stunning kitchen/hang out area, hot tub, game room. We can't wait to go back. The views of the lake are beautiful. It was a 35 minute drive to Elk Mountain, where we skiied for 3 days. Loved it.

Wonderful Week

Truly a lovely experience in every sense. There are so many entertains diversions that, outside of groceries, there's no need to leave the property. Paddleboards, kayaks, a trawling motor boat, pool table, classic arcade games, etc. I would highly recommend this property for a relacing and entertains get-a-way.
