Loved the house and town. Eliot and Vicki were very responsive when we had questions.Bedrooms and bathrooms are nice size. The kitchen is nicely equipped. It was great having a washer and dryer to do clothes at the end of our week stay.

Spacious, warm, clean comfy accomidation in a great location by the sea.

Good sized bedrooms, modern and clean bathrooms, comfy beds. Warms up quickly. Kitchen dining area great size and space for socialising, good variety of crockery and utensils..

Excellent location and spacious accommodation

Exactly what we were looking for, close to the harbour for evening strolls, the friendly Harbour Bar,and only a short drive to other places of interest. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at this house which was very clean and presented well with everything that you need for a short holiday. The check in process was well communicated and simple and although we had some issues with the heating this was promptly dealt with by the owners and did not affect our stay. There was plenty to entertain our young grandsons in the surrounding areas including a lovely farm and a beach less than 20 minutes away. The local eateries, which are only a few minutes walk from the house, were just great and very child friendly.All in all we had a great stay at this house in Gourdon and would totally recommend to future guests.

The house is perfect for a larger group to stay together. We particularly loved the large kitchen and dinning space and spent most of our evening time around the table playing games, even getting our teenagers to join in! The beds were wonderfully comfortable and there was plenty of towels to go around. Two small suggestions would be, 1- replace the sofas in the livingroom, they are dreadful. So uncomfortable i'm sorry to say. And 2- With this being a winter stay, and a big old house, it would have been lovely if the hosts had put the heating on or set the timer on the system prior to our arrival. It took quite a long time to warm the house up initially. However, that said, we loved the house, the location and our stay, thank you! X

Wedding trip

We came for a wedding at Drumtochty Castle. It was a perfect location - we loved the village and its interesting little harbour. The house was just what we needed, comfortable & clean. Many thanks

Great Cottage next to the Harbour

You find everything you need in this cottage. We’ve been a party of 6 and this cottage is a great place and a good base for exploring the surrounding area. If you like fresh fish, this is the place to be. The fish monger is around the corner so fresh fish supply is guaranteed. We’ll be back!

Long weekend

Thank for for a lovely break , very clean , cosy and comfortable. I’d only suggest sort thro kitchen cupboards everything a mess, no tea pot, annd poor selection of sharp knife’s , also hair dryer would be hand.

Great House. Adorable Location

We had a great stay at this house in Gourdon. It is exactly as advertised. It has plenty of room, it was comfortable, great parking, etc. Eliot was very responsive when we had questions. The town of Gourdon is very picturesque. We walked around it and just loved it. It was an easy base to access other parts of western Scotland.

Holiday with Grammy and Pops

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the house! Clean, comfortable, nice beds, great location...the only thing we can think of in a negative way was the noisy seagulls! Lol. I grew up on the coast and never experienced such noisy seagulls! LOL...Thank you Elliot for the wonderful stay!!!

A beautiful house in a lovely little fishing village

A beautiful detached house close to the harbour. The house was perfect for 5 work colleagues for a weekend away. The house was immaculate, warm, the beds were so comfy and we loved the cosy living room and the large kitchen area with a long dining room table was great for gathering round for meals and playing games (which were provided)! No hair dryers though! The area is lovely for exploring the north east. We drove to Stonehaven which is not far and enjoyed one of the many cafes. We also walked along the coast to Inverbervie which was just over a mile.

Viel Platz und maritime Atmosphäre

Das Haus mit 4 Schlafzimmern im schönen Hafenstädtchen Gourdon ist super und modern ausgestattet. Wir nutzten auch die Waschmaschine und den Trockner, was während einer Rundreise sehr praktisch war. Das Restaurant Quayside ist absolut empfehlenswert, wir orderten online. Das einzige, was wirklich sehr störend war, war das Gekreische der Möwen... ab 3 Uhr nachts schreien sie ununterbrochen direkt auf dem Haus und in den umliegenden Gärten. Auch unser Auto wurde total vollgekackt, was wirklich nicht sehr schön war...

Fantastic stay

Had a lovely weekend at the property. House is large and spacious. Everyone was able to find their own space if required. Large kitchen which accommodated the eight of us. Being the kitchen this is where we spent most of our time. House has everything you need and instructions are clear. Gourdon itself is great. The quayside restaurant I would recommend booking. The harbour bar is a fantastic pub. It can get very busy though so if your not first your last! Tables can go quickly inside but plenty seating outside. Short walk along the coast to inverbervie. You can also get a bus to Montrose and stonehaven. Thank you again for hosting us!!

Great!

Nice, big and clean but cosy house with seaview. It offers everything you need. Near castles, places to walk and to eat. Bigger places to go to don't take to long by car en the sea is always with you. We have enjoyed our stay very much. Walk to Johnshaven, go and enjoy a walk in and around Banchory, visit Aberdeen and Dundee of go to Dunnottar Castle. Thank you Eliot.

Lovely place to stay!

We enjoyed the proximity to the water and to the two restaurants near the water. The property suited us well--we enjoyed playing cribbage at the dinner table and watching TV in the living room. It was helpful having one bathroom on the first floor and the other bathroom on the 2nd floor. All in all, it was a good venue four our two-night stay, and we wished we could've stayed longer.

Lovely seaside getaway

Great property in lovely village. Very comfortable. Good base for visiting places like Stonehaven, St Cyrus beach and Dunnottar castle. Literally 2 minutes walk from good bar and restaurant with views of harbour. Would recommend.

Lovely place for a getaway.

Great property with everything we needed. Spotlessly clean and modern and nice extra touches like books & games. Gourdon is fairly small but nice pub and harbour area to wander around.

A wee break for the soul

I spent the weekend with friends in Gourdon. The cottage is easily the prettiest on the harbour and surpassed our expectations as the pictures do not do it justice. So tastefully decorated, calming and fully equipped with everything you might need. The cafe, chip shop and restaurant are a mere hop, skip and jump from the front door, offering a warm welcome and good food. I’m just sorry we couldn’t stay a while longer…

Picturesque location

Seamless stay at this lovely house in Gourdon for ourselves, our friends and our children. Lovely setting just a few steps to a pretty harbour. Great communication with the owner to be able to check in very easily and settle straight into our holiday. The area has so much on it's doorstep but we ran out of time so we will definitely return for another break. The property itself has everything you could need for our 2 families and was very well equipped to help us feel comfortable. Lovely little gem of a place and I would highly recommend.
