Thank you for your comments from your recent experiience at our Hotel. The Team has worked very hard to overcome a number of obstacles releated to reopening a hotel coming out of a Flood. Your comments are reassuring to the team and their efforts. Thank you again

Front desk notified around 8AM of toilet problem and we came back to hotel around 6 pm and nothing had been done. That's very poor service!!!

Great service after a long closure from town-wide flood damage. Elevator still not working and final repairs still in progress but not staff's fault. Good location very close to Capitol building.

This property could use some upgrades. Some very strange smells (not good ones) throughout the hallways. HVAC systems (in room units) need replaced. Carpet is tired and dated. Staff did the best they could but hard to overcome.Beds were comfortable and great location!

Each hotel room in the building has been updated within the last 2 years into which we placed new Vermont-Made Maple or Cherry furniture. There are plans for more improvements throughout the entire building. We are delighted that you found the staff accommodating and enjoyed our location in Vermont's Capitol City. Very nice hotel, very friendly staff and the room was nice. Only downside was that the hallways were stuffy and not air conditioned (outside temperature was very hot duty our stay). Great location , easy walk to a super bakery and neat stores plus great dining both within hotel and within 3 minute walk

Improvement needed and recommendation
Great stay. TV was a real problem. Hard to find channels, etc. Just a clunky system. Maybe some instruction would help. Food was excellent.

The staff, especially the concierge, are super friendly. She gave us a quiet room as we requested. The place is close to restaurants, a cinema, museums, public transportation, etc. Unfortunately, many places/restaurants around it were closed due to holidays. The room was nice and quiet. However, the bed wasn't as comfortable/soft as expected. Overall, it's better than expected, though. Highly recommend it.

Nice place - we stayed in a new area of the hotel - but the shower splash glass was not long enough and water got all over the floor each time you ran the shower water - nice unit otherwise!!

My wife and I have a great experience staying at the Capitol Plaza Hotel while passing through Montpelier in May 2023! We only stayed one night, but left wishing we could have stayed longer. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of downtown Montpelier, with great dining, shopping, and the government buildings nearby. The staff were super friendly and gave us a lovely corner room with a great view. We'll definitely stay at the Capitol Plaza Hotel again!

Parking in Montpelier is in high demand and although it is not complimentary, we do discount parking for guests from 30 dollars a night to 10 dollars a night to park in our secure lot. They were very kind at the front desk. There was also a beautiful restaurant on the first floor where the workers were very friendly. They also had a barber and hair salon. I also felt very safe as there was a group of army men there, where I felt they may have been getting back to meet their families after deployment; therefore, the hotel may have offered them free stay.

William,We apologize for the inconvenience. The tower elevator was scheduled for routine maintenance but then a part broke. It took a couple of days to get that part. Our team did try to let our guests know and choose rooms closer to the other elevator for those that have difficulty walking. We apologize if this did not happen for you. When you let us know of your difficulty getting to your room, we did offer to move you to a closer room but you declined. We did credit you for the parking for your inconvenience.We hope you give us another try if you're in the area again.Thank you for your feedback.

Location was fine, but quit sure they have worker shortage here at this location. The blinds in the room (take a look at them folks), squeaky floors throughout the bldg., what about the continental breakfast? that was a joke or not even there. then you say 15.oo credit on for not having this.? never seen this applied to my bill. Ice machines, put on your walking shoes. Staff was very nice and polite.

Our Morning Market called out due to family emergency, the hotel did have out complimentary coffee and grab and go items at no charge due to the inconvenience. The staff was nice, and the hotel and room would have been fine had we actually been able to sleep. We were on the top floor in a corner unit, and some outside HVAC system (I couldn't tell exactly where it came from) below our room made a very annoying and large amount of noise around 11pm and went through 5am. I raised this with the staff, and it seems like nothing was done about it.
