If I hadn't arrived as a thunderstorm was starting, I would have immediately checked back out and gone elsewhere. I booked this place because it’s 15 minutes' walk from the bus and it was half the price of the other available hotel. But the more expensive hotel is definitely worth it. Here, the room doors are wide open to the street, so any bugs, rodents, or people can get in. The doors don’t seal shut, so even with the door closed, you’re going to get flies, moths, mosquitoes, etc. The floor was not just damp but had pools of water. The tub was missing its finish, there’s no way I’d stand in that. Some of the power outlets and one of the light switches worked. The bed linens were stained and had actual holes in them. The wifi worked weakly some of the time. I felt uncomfortable in the room, but I didn’t feel safe leaving the room given what some of the other guests were doing outside (and inside). I wish I’d thought to check Google reviews before booking instead of just relying on the happy Expedia people. What room did all of those 10/10 people stay in?? The points for service I’m giving them here is because I requested a fridge and they brought it to me and it worked (once I plugged it into a working outlet)! It did leak all over the floor. Also because they generously allowed me to leave my suitcase in the room next to reception until I could check in to the place I was staying the next night.
All in all, I cannot in good faith recommend staying here.
