The house didn't feel clean. Bugs in the room with the bunk bed. No towels or wash cloths in the master suite. Burnt out light bulbs in the master bath. Got locked out/keypad not working. The internet repair man came while we were there but we were trying to leave to go see our family--had to stay while he worked on the internet. Getting the TV n the master bedroom was extremely hard to get connected to the internet. Password was not the one sent to us on the link nor was the name of the network. No batteries in the remote for the master bedroom ceiling fan. The back yard needs attention....not well kept at all-fence needs repairs if you are going to advertise it for pets. The fire alarm was pulled off the wall and the battery was taken out. We go to Montgomery several times a year. We will not be booking this house again. The house had great character as it was old and historical but overall we were not happy with our stay.

Misrepresentation and not a healthy place to stay

First impression when you drive up is please let the inside look better than the outside. The online pictures are not accurate. The house is in disrepair and there is mold throughout the house. Walls had water dripping down. The floors are dangerous and sinking in many spots throughout the house including the cement ones in the main bathroom. The couch was dirty and stained. The Porch was not usable. Missing cushions. Gate was broken. Door was missing latches. Couldn’t set the alarm system. Gas stove in kitchen smelled of gas. No mixing bowls or basics in the kitchen. They need to update and repair this home. Cars travel very fast on the road and raced from 2-3 am. So be careful. I can only add 8 photos but I have dozens.

Great Location

House was great for several out of town family members to attend my son's officer commissioning at Maxwell AFB. Location is great to downtown and easy access to Maxwell. Old historical, huge house with tons of space.Kitchen has multiple type coffee makers, gas stove, newer appliances, plenty of plates, glasses, cups, and utensils. Hung out every night and mornings on the front porch. Communication, check-in, and arrival details with owner was great.BBQ needs to be replaced or taken off of the listing.

Disappointed in the cleanliness

I was disappointed in the cleanliness and overall shape of the property. The linens were clean and the shower gel was nice, but the place was dirty feeling overall. The back yard is uninhabitable and the bbq grill is sitting in the middle of the weeds.

Great getaway

Quiet neighborhood and close to everything. The house is well maintained for being an historic house. Accommodations were perfect. Listing was accurate. Loved the tranquility. We’ll return if in area again. All inquiries were handled quickly and made our stay more enjoyable. Thank you!

Spacious and close to everything

We ranged from 60-81 and were thrilled w this lovely cottage. We are from Montgomery and enjoyed visiting friends and sightseeing. Comfortable living area and mattresses were great. Great host. We would definitely like to stay here again. Thank you!

Positive Experience

Our church youth group enjoyed this space for its trip. Overall, clean and good space. Only downside was lack of paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, etc) which did not match up with the number of people the listing claims to sleep. Other than that, very happy with the experience.

Golf trip

Nice house and convenient for golf snd dining downtown. Owner was very accommodating in providing better television services. Picture of front porch is a little deceiving. It could be spruced up but inside of house is nice. Would stay again outside if heat of summer. Very good value.
