As a history geek and a crafter, I immediately fell in love with this place, perched up on a hill, clearly seen from the main road. The current owners Ken and Sarah have lovingly restored the house to its 19th century elegance, whilst maintaining the 16th century Tudor elements. The communal rooms are comfortable, the bedrooms all have a theme, I was in the pretty bird room. Excellent breakfast and there's a great pub 3 miles down the road, The Nag's Head, for dinner. Not far from Newtown, Welshpool or Montgomery, great base for exploring mid-Wales. And Ken and Sarah were so helpful and friendly, always making sure I was ok. Can't wait to go back!
