Heel fijn huis in een stil dal in de Pyreneeën.

Aardige gastheer, behulpzaam en terrein is voorzien van vele leuke plekken om te relaxen. Huis was heel schoon, en geen last van verkeer en privé terras met alle privacy.

Séjour très agréable en pleine nature

Lieu authentique en pleine nature. Jolie vue sur la forêt. Propriété très bien entretenue et bien organisée (jardin très agréable). Accueil de très grande qualité et chaleureux.

The place of our dreams. Lovely hosts and dog

A magic & peaceful place that counts with the kindness and frienship of their hosts. The location is perfect as it is very close to the Canigó and in where you can visit wonderful villages typical of the area. The house is surrounded by nature. Lovely family and friendly dog.

A little gem

Tucked away from the madding crowd this Mas provides everything you need plus a lot of tranquility. Go there and enjoy the peace of the Pyrenees. Clean , well kept, friendly helpful owner. Terrific place for children. Fantastic pool.

Wonderful property, location and hosts

We really enjoyed our time in La Bergerie. Simon and Ashley where very welcoming and helpful hosts, the gite was lovely and the setting is wonderfully quiet and beautiful. It served as a great base to explore the local area such as going for walks visiting local places of interest and just enjoying french and catalan life and countryside. We enjoyed it so much we are currently back in the area for a number of months.

Beautiful!

We stayed in ‘La Bergerie’ for a week and honestly could have stayed much much longer. The mountain setting is absolutely beautiful and an idyllic getaway from the hustle and bustle of life. The accommodation had everything we needed,and it was a perfect location for us and our 2year old. Simon was the perfect host and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely return!

Amazing holiday

Absolutely brilliant holiday, enjoyed every second. Simon is an amazing, knowledgeable host, nothing seemed to much trouble and he made us feel very welcome. The property is beautifully clean with everything you could need. The pool is perfect with a shallow end and wide steps to get in and play on with kids. Seriously book this place, you will not regret it, cannot fault it. Can't wait to go back.

“We had found this spot in Alastair Sawday’s, have never been disappointed with anything we've booked this way and we weren't disappointed at Can Llouquette. We were made very welcome and the holiday got better still. The accommodation, pool, weather were excellent. Simon and Ashley were wonderful hosts throughout, always in the background if needed. The local village was a 30 minute walk but was worth the fresh bread, coffee, croissants and a view of French life...”

Stunning piece of paradise

This is not a place to stay if you like noise and the hustle and bustle of city life. It is an absolutely beautiful setting in a dip towards the very top of the hills. The house is perfect and there are so many hidden gems in the gardens. Simon delivered fresh eggs to us in the morning and always discreetly in his own part of the house. What a stunning setting for a swimming pool

Fabulous stay & hospitality!

If you're looking for the perfect combination of peace, tranquility, and natural beauty - Can Llouquette is your place. Settled in a gorgeous valley, we were able to fully relax and enjoy quality time. The property itself is stunning, with tons of space & beautiful scenery. We could not have asked for better weather, and so the pool was put to good use! Simon was a wonderful and attentive host - his insight into the region was greatly appreciated! Simply wonderful

A real gem, where you feel at home from the moment you arrive. If you remember to shop on your way up you have everything you need; peace and quiet (except from the relaxing noise from the stream), beautiful nature, hammocks along the stream, playground for the kids, wonderful pool, well-equipped "apartments" and tasteful decor in- and outside. And animails, which especially our kids appreciate. Once you get used to driving in the mountains the distances don't seem that far and there are plenty of child friendly things to do within 40 minutes drive.

A wee Gem in the Pyrenees

My family had a lovely, relaxing week at Can Llouquette : it is a great place to unwind. It is in a valley surrounded by forests and mountains, and is very peaceful - the birdsong all around is a highlight. The fact that it is up in the mountains means that you get warm days - and cool nights, so you can sleep comfortably. There were nice walks to explore around the property and many wonderful places to visit within a short car ride. Simon and Ashley are attentive and helpful as hosts. Well worth a visit. We will return !!

Wonderful location and beautiful house

We stayed at Can Llouquette with our three children for two weeks and had the most perfect holiday. The setting in the Pyrenean mountains is beautiful and the house, garden, terrace and pool were of an incredibly high standard. Additionally, everything is done in the most environmentally friendly manner possible (including the sparklingly clean pool). Ashley and Simon and their daughter were warm and welcoming and made us feel cared for and relaxed. We would love to come back and would not hesitate to recommend Can Llouquette to anyone. There are plenty of things to see and do in the area, and being relatively close to both the sea and the mountains is perfect for a family.

Can Llouquette is just a perfect holiday place

Can Llouquette is just a perfect place in the Pyrenees (near Mount Canigou, so close to the French-Spanish border). Really quiet and very private, child friendly (superb swimming pool, a nice stream downhill with hammocks, a football area,…) and green, well equipped gites (good beds, private terrace) and, last but not least, the hospitality of Simon and Ashley is wonderful (very friendly and lots of good hints). Can Llouquette is a little paradise (hmm, in fact not so little). We will definitely come back! All the best, Thomas and Soetkin (and the kids)

Wonderful peaceful holiday

Can Llouquette was all we needed for our summer holiday. The gite was clean, bright and well laid out. The farm is wonderfully quiet, with plenty of space for the children to run about in. The pool was well situated, with a good range of seats and recliners. We had a private terrace which allowed grown ups to read in peace whilst the children explored. The children loved not only the pool, but also exploring, playing in the stream and attempting to stay on the hammocks - I think they mastered it by the end of the week. We were made very welcome by Simon and his family and had a wonderful holiday.

Traumhaftes Feriendomizil

Wer die Natur und die Ruhe liebt, kommt an Can Llouquette nicht vorbei. Hier erlebt man Pflanzen und Tiere noch in ihrer ursprünglichen Form. Wer es liebt von Vogelgezwitscher geweckt zu werden, ist hier genau richtig. Und was wäre so ein Idyll ohne einen Gastgeber, mit dem Herzen am rechten Fleck! Daher ein großes Dankeschön an Simon, der immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite stand und mit dem man dann entweder auf Deutsch, Englisch oder Französisch einen wundervollen Gesprächspartner fand. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Beautiful setting for a perfect family holiday

The gite was lovely, and ideal for our family, with everything we needed provided. The boys (and the adults) were delighted. The pool, stream, woods and play area meant that there was plenty for the children to do there, and if we wanted to venture further afield there was lots of interest within reasonable driving distance. The welcome was warm, and Simon, Ashley (and Sofia!) were very helpful. The setting really could not have been better, it was a wonderful peaceful yet fun place to be. Both boys have asked when we are going back, and I have already recommended it to both friends and family.

lovely place surrounded by nature

We stayed from September 23rd 'til 30th with our newborn baby and our dog. Those were our first holidays since our daughter was born and we can not imagine a better place to spend them. There are lots of activities nearby, trails, places to visit and local food products to enjoy. Our dog met Blue, Simon's dog, a never-ending source of joy and energy to play with. During our walks around the house, we were able to discover some of the local fauna and flora, enjoy a meal in a grass field or close to the river, read a book or just having a nap without being disturbed by any noise. Simon, our host, made us feel definitely welcome; everything was arranged to make us feel like home.

Eine Oase in der Natur jenseits der Touristenpfade

Can Lloquette ist eine Oase der Ruhe. Morgens mit Vogelgezwitscher aufwachen, das Rauschen des Baches hören und den Blick in die Natur von der Terrasse genießen. Die Eigentümer haben ein kleines Paradies geschaffen und mit ihrer Gastfreundschaft fühlt man sich herzlich willkommen. Die Wohnung war gemütlich eingerichtet und die Küche hatte eine sehr gute Ausstattung. Den Swimmingpool hatten wir die meiste Zeit für uns allein, da sich die Gäste über den Tag verteilten. Unser Lieblingsplatz waren die Hängematten am Bach! In der Umgebung ist viel zu unternehmen: kleine Dörfer ohne Touristen, Kurztrips nach Spanien oder an die Küste, Wanderungen, Märkte, Besuch von Käsereien etc . Aber nach allen Touren waren wir glücklich, wieder an diesen friedlichen Ort zurück zu kommen.

Une belle maison, de charmants propriétaires pour d’excellentes vacances

Un très bon moment de dépaysement favorisé par une très belle maison avec un grand jardin et une superbe piscine idéale pour toute la famille. Notre location correspondait en tous points aux diverses explications et photos, les propriétaires sont juste parfaits, accueillants, bienveillants, donnant de nombreux conseils précieux sur la région, ce qui donne le sentiment de rapidement être « chez soi ». La situation géographique permet de nombreuses randonnées, pour tous les âges, au départ de la location, du village à proximité ou aux alentours du Canigou. Petite « cerise sur le gâteau », la présence en contrebas de la propriété d’une rivière avec un spot de baignade naturelle... Magique!!! Un endroit de vacances à recommander les yeux fermés, merci pour tout Ashley et Simon!!!

Perfect week away from it all in the Pyrenees

We had a wonderful week with our young family in La Bergerie, so much so that none of us wanted to leave. Can Lloquette is a haven of tranquillity and just the place to unwind from the hectic pace of life. The view out over the canopy accompanied by the sound of the brook and the birds was idyllic. Beautifully converted and furnished in an understated and tasteful way the site includes hammocks near the stream, a place to barbecue for an early evening dinner ‘en plein air’ and a gorgeous child-friendly pool, offering all the ingredients for a perfect family retreat. A cheeky chicken with a penchant for escape provided our son with much amusement and Ashley, Simon and Sophia were consummate hosts. It came as no surprise that some of our fellow guests came to stay every year and it gets an unreserved recommendation from us.

Ein wunderschönes Plätzchen mitten in der Natur

Unser 2-wöchiger Aufenthalt in der BERGERIE war wunderbar. In der sehr hellen Wohnung hatten wir alles, was man braucht. Sehr schön auch die "private Terrasse". Man war umringt von Natur, Vogelgezwitscher, unten das Rauschen des Flusses. Das mit viel Liebe und Arbeit gepflegte Grundstück ist wunderschön, es gibt eine Vielzahl an Pflanzen und Insekten. Da die erste Woche vom Wetter her eher durchwachsen war, haben wir in der heißen, zweiten Woche jeden Nachmittag den schönen Pool genutzt. Auch die Gespräche mit Simon haben wir genossen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit auf Can Llouquette und alles Gute für Simon und Familie. Herzlich Claudia und Holger aus Deutschland
