Solid week in June

Overall we were very pleased with the villa. Owner communication & support are great, no issues at all. Kitchen is well-stocked, even so we were happy to have brought our own chef's knife. Bedrooms were fine and given the position of the house, there was always a breeze. Thus the house stayed cool even in the heat. The swimming pool is brilliant and very welcoming on hot afternoons. There are 3 properties that have access to the pool, so it is semi-private. View from the pool is great but no real view from the front porch/patio where we had some meals. The villa is less than 10 mins drive to Siena train station. It is not a walkable location, so a car is necessary (although there is a periodic bus that stops nearby). We were in Firenzie within an hour, Chianti region within 45 mins and San Gimignano even closer, so location is good for that part of Tuscany. Pieza/Montalcino is a solid hour south.

A wonderful farm house outside Sienna;!;

This is a lovely 3 story home with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. Perfect for two couples or a family with up to 5 kids. Giada, the owner, was welcoming, friendly, and able to answer all questions. Driving at night isn't for the faint hearted, so we enjoyed eating in and playing Italian chef. Had a wonderful pool all to ourselves, and while we had a car, parking in Sienna isn't plentiful, so we sprung for the $20 cab ride. If you're looking for a nice home near Sienna , look no further.

Nice stay in a beautiful house

We traveled with 6 people. The house was clean, a lot of space and just perfect. Giada was a very nice, helpful and professional host. Very nice pool and close to Siena. Overall a perfect vacation. I therefore can absolutely recommend the place

Excellent séjour

Excellent accueil avec de nombreux conseils donnés par la propriétaire. Très jolie maison ancIenne , confortable avec des chambres très bien climatisées. Très belle cour devant la maison où on peut prendre ses repas. Les 2 logements adjacents ne sont pas du tout gênants. La piscine est très agréable et de bonne taille. La propriété est très proche de Sienne (10-15 min en voiture). A recommander sans hésitation !

La dolce vita

The villa is a spectacular property in a beautiful setting near to Siena and a short drive from many attractions (San Gimignano, Monteriggione, Pisa, Volterra, Firenze…). The host was extremely kind and we enjoyed the pool as well as amazing sunsets in the evening. Well worth the stay!

The best country inn ever

Hello, to all, if you want a stay near sienna, this is the best. Decorated with timely antiques, great kitchen with all the needed equipment, lovely bedrooms, a gracious patio area and if weather permitting a grand pool area. The views are breathtaking. Will return. Fondly Kathleen

Tuscan Charm & Elegance

My family of 4 was looking for the beautiful Tuscan villa for our family vacation and we found it! Villa Muricce was spacious, perfectly decorated with vintage yet beautiful and comfortable furnishings, and was centrally located for all of our family fun! AND, the kitchen was better furnished with all necessary tools than my own kitchen! We so enjoyed our daytrips to Siena, Cortona, Florence, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Montalcino and Volterrra, each more interesting and unique than the last. It was so easy to drive from place to place and be lost in the Tuscan atmosphere and enjoy real Italian life. With great train service beginning a short distance away in Siena, we even enjoyed a daytrip to Venice starting early but returning by 10 pm! Although the surrounding areas (and restaurants) were grand in the day, we also enjoyed sitting by the pool with foods picked up in local markets and then cooking and eating outside in our own courtyard with the crickets merrily chirping. There are several restaurants just a short drive nearby (loved Osteria de Fonterutoli and Il Mulina), and at least 2 supermarkets also close by (PAM, in a lovely enclosed shopping mall, with a grand underground parking lot directly across from the Siena train station and the Coop in San Miniato). One of the best features about this villa are the lovely owners though. Giada and her mother could not have been any more welcoming and accommodating! Giada happily met us upon arrival and showed us how everything operated, sites of nearby restaurants and attractions, and even hiking trails. After that, they were certainly around to assist and answer any questions but, if you so desired, they left you alone to enjoy their Tuscan world. We so enjoyed seeing, visiting, and learning from them! Oh, and this was very important to our family, the villa bedrooms had windows with screens and air-conditioning—rather uncommon in Italy! We were there in a July heat wave. The screens allowed us to open up the rooms to fresh air in early morning and evening without fear of any creatures visiting us at night later, and while we slept, we turned on the AC to ensure sound sleeping and happy family tourists the following day. AC is an extra charge (and worth it in a July heat wave), but we were delighted to see that running 3 bedroom ACs only at night cost only about 50 euros for the week....well worth it! Honestly, it was everything we expected from a Tuscan villa, right down to the friendly, helpfu

Very relaxing week

We enjoyed a truly relaxing week at Muriccie following a busy few days in Venice and Florence - it was just what we needed. Property is full of character and fine for a family of six. Very well equipped - pool, dishwasher, washing machine, BBQ, Internet Wi-fi, AC in bedrooms - all were well tested during our stay. Property is very comfortable with nice views across rolling hills and the village of Baciano. Only a short drive from Siena, excellent location to visit others towns around. We will definitely go back.

Great stay close to Siena

We stayed for 2 weeks with our 2 adult sons and their partners, in the truly Tuscan atmosphere of this wonderful villa. In a very quiet location with all equipment one could ever think to need, including the clean swimming pool, we got to relax and enjoy the environment. Great access to Siena with a busstop at only 200 meters. A special note about the owners: they were very friendly and helpful; they even arranged a cosy and instructive cooking class in the house with a wonderful professional cook; we enjoyed a real italian pasta pesto, a rabbit dish and semifreddo. We hope to succeed in preparing it as good in our own home...

An idyllic retreat very convenient for Siena

Le Murricce is in a peaceful location in the Tuscan countryside, yet within 15 minutes of Siena and also convenient for many other places to visit. The villa is clean and well equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We particularly appreciated the air conditioning and lovely swimming pool in the July heat! Giada is a wonderful host and made us very welcome.

Il dispose d'une agréable cour pour nos repas dehors. Le gite est très bien situé, nous rejoignons Sienne en moins de 15 min. Un bien joli séjour au coeur de la Toscane !
