We had such a lovely time at Harvest Moon Lodge! It was such an amazing retreat with a beautiful view and so many local hikes. I wish we didn’t pack so many toys and things for the kids because they had everything you would need except a high chair and baby gates! If you’re bringing babies or little toddlers they have two pack and plays with a huge master walk in closet for one baby and the kids adventure room was perfect for the other. The lowest level has the game room, green queen bedroom, and across the hall a full bathroom (shower) and kids bunk room. Main level has the master suite with attached bathroom. Across the hall is the hallway bathroom with the second jacuzzi tub and shower. The loft king room upstairs has a half bath attached but is pretty open to the main living area except a little divider. Just something to note if you’re looking for more privacy in your group! The views were absolutely stunning and we saw deer every morning and evening in the front yard! This property has everything you need for a family getaway and we will definitely be back!

Lovely property and excellent customer service from the owner. You may want to write down the entrance information as our WiFi n data did not function as we neared the property. The WiFi code provided by the owner once we entered did work. Highly recommend this property

We rented Lauren & JC’s home for my 40th birthday weekend with our dog and kids the first night, then 8 friends joined the second night. The house was beautiful and well-decorated with a gorgeous view, but the experience was marred by how a major issue was handled.Before arrival, VRBO messages to Lauren went unanswered until I called—she said the VRBO messaging wasn’t working, so we switched to texting. I still had to follow up multiple times. A couple hours before check-in, we were told there was a water pressure problem (well water) being fixed. When we arrived, workers were there for 2 hours but couldn’t resolve it; we had little to no water for nearly 24 hours—no cooking, no showers. The owner initially promised a first-night refund.After checkout, she refused to refund, citing: no pet deposit was paid and no update in the agreement noting our dog). I provided screenshots of our text exchange and Venmo payment to show proof I did). Extra guests (my oversight—should have been 140 more because though the house sleeps 14, over 8 guests require 35 fee per person), and neighbors noise complaints (we were on the decks past the 9:30 PM quiet hours; had Lauren texted me I would have moved my guests inside). Saying she used my refund to pay her neighbors for noise.While I accept my guest count error and would have paid the extra, I don’t believe that justifies zero refund for the water outage. Future guests: the home is lovely, but I hope you don’t face a major problem.

Absolute Mountain Retreat

We’ve stayed in over a dozen rentals in the area throughout the last few years and this property was without a doubt one of our favorites. Very clean, has everything you could need and more. Waking up every morning and walking out into the living room to the most beautiful and unreal views of the blue ridge mountains was the highlight of the trip!

Winter getaway

We had a wonderful time at the Harvest Moon. Good location for a mountain getaway. The house is decorated nicely and is cozy. Basement is a plus with the pool table, air hockey and hot tub. The owners were easy to reach and answered all my questions in a timely manner. I hope to go again one day!

Harvest Moon Holiday

Our 2nd trip to Harvest Moon did not disappoint. This is a wonderful home for families to relax and stop the world for a short time. Lauren is a great host and has a beautiful home that is well main tained. The beds are super comfy and the downstairs area perfect for all ages. Kids loved the hot tub and toys! Look forward to returning.

Awesome Family Get together

Beautiful Mountains. Awesome Place, Lots of Entertainment, Immaculate, Wonderful Host, Easy Check in Check out, Large Areas, lots of Bedrooms and places to entertain, Beautiful outdoors. Hammock, Firepit, Hot tub and just spectacular in every way. Large Kitchen and Dining indoor and out. Loved every minute of it.

New Year's family getaway

We had a wonderful time enjoying our family without cellphones and while taking in the beautiful views! The house was great and Lauren was very responsive to our questions. The game room was the perfect place to ring in the New Year!

Just as pictured!

Great location, tons of amenities and wonderful hosts. The beds were heavenly, the view was phenomenal as was stargazing from the top deck. We visited Gerties and loved the pork sandwiches but nothing disappointed. The homemade jams are worth every penny- we took home 3 jars! The Montebello Country store was cute. They were out of trout and most groceries so was not worth our visit there. Definitely grocery shop before heading up the mountain and be prepared for a relaxing visit without any phone service.

A Christmas reunion!

This property was everything it was advertised as, and more! Spectacularly clean, well laid out for our 3 families and so much more! The kids had a blast with the air hockey, pool table, and ping pong. The oldest grandchild (10) even set up tournaments for each area. The hot tub was a hit with the older grandkids and we even enjoyed both of the firepits. There were beautiful Christmas decorations throughout the house and the surrounding 9 acres helped us walk off the many holiday meals we had. The sleeping arrangements worked out so well with adults on each of the 3 levels and kids in the bunk room. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to prepare all our holiday meals. We hope to return in warmer weather when we can take in some of the local sights. We were able to enjoy our first Christmas together in 8 years, thanks to military service and many miles between us. The property is conveniently located about 3.5 hours outside of Washington, DC. I can't say enough about the hosts. Lauren was extremely responsive to all my questions. They obviously take great pride in the Harvest Moon Lodge and it shows!

The best fall getaway cabin

Some of my friends and I stayed here for the week and it was amazing. The Harvest moon lodge is an incredible house with modern cabin aesthetic but still retains that cozy warm feeling everyone wants in a cabin getaway. You can enjoy the stunning views of the mountains sitting in front of the fire pit or while relaxing the hot tub. When the sun sets, you can enjoy the company of friends and family in the "Speakeasy" style bar basement, complete with a pool table and large TV with many movies. When it's time to retire for the night, enjoy the cool nights in any of the numerous comfortable beds throughout the house, but be sure to wake up early to watch the spectacular sunrise over the mountains. The only bad time my group had was leaving... We truly enjoyed every second of our time at the Harvest moon lodge, we absolutely recommend visiting. Shoutout to Lauren and JC who gave us constant support in answering our questions throughout our trip.

Everything about this place was amazing! It's beautiful down to the last details. ✔Breathtaking views, the cabin is gorgeous! ✔Rooms are clean, spacious & comfortable. ✔The interior design was very cozy. ✔The house is fully equipped. ✔The game room is the best! ✔The backyard is very relaxing. ✔The balcony/deck was our favorite spot! ✔The hot tub was perfect day & night. ✔ The property owner was very communicative ✔This home is perfect for both relaxation & activities. (kids & adults) Lauren & Jc did a great job on well maintaining this paradise. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and we could say, it's one of the best cabins that we ever rented. We will definetly come back to this paradise! ❤ * a gentle feedback & a little suggestion; ✔it would be nice to add some swing for kids or a backyard playgound in the future. ✔it would be nice if the Firewood for bonfire night is already provided. ✔bunk beds for the kids was way to small, the room itself was small for kids, this could be better if it's more spacious (this is the only small room in the house)

Mountain Escape

From the moment you arrive the home is impressive at the top of the hill. The furnishings were beautiful, the home was spacious, clean and one of our favorite places we have stayed. We had 11 people with 4 children and they everyone had their own space. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet mountain getaway.
