"We loved our stay at deer lick falls! It was a nice home away from home. It was nice to have the amenities such as a stove, oven, grill and a washing machine and dryer. We traveled with two children and anyone that knows these are a must! I was however disappointed that the “kids play area” was indeed not in the area we stayed. "Property touted full spice rack (no garlic) pans (only a few and in poor shape) charcoal supply for grill (wet due to being left outside) fire pit (no wood onsite). They supply the cheapest kitchen sponge and soap (had to watch dishes 3 times) so bring your own. Other than these minor issues, it was a cool place in a remote location, with full wrap around porch with comfortable patio furnishings FYI it's a tiny home. The shower drain is very slow beware so not to flood bathroom. Big loft area...

"I've stayed at several properties at the different Retreat communities, and this one is by far my favorite. The decor is gorgeous, the outdoor space was perfect (we spent most of Friday and Saturday afternoon lounging by the pellet stove, reading and napping), the kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfy. I'll definitely be booking this property again!"

"We really enjoyed our stay at The Great Escape! The house was very functional, very clean, and very pet friendly. The houses in the Retreat are spread out enough to allow plenty of privacy. It also felt very secure, as it is in a gated community. I would highly recommend staying at The Great Escape! It is definitely a 5 Star rental!! Thank you for providing us such a great place to get away to for the weekend. We will be back!"

What we loved the most was the private fire pit that backed up to woods and the creek could be heard from the deck of the home. "Loved the amenities; fire pit, sauna, hot tub, grill, and swim spa. I chose this cabin for my wife and I because it was listed as secluded. There were workers next door all day Friday while we used the pool and fire pit, with little to no privacy. An umbrella would be very helpful on the deck for a reprieve from the sun. Applying sunscreen throughout the day Friday, without shade we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors Saturday and left early. We would rent the cabin again (and bring an umbrella)...
