We stayed during the recent 2022 winter storm. When the Chalet’s electricity went out completely, leaving us with no heat, they were of no help to help us or get us reaccomodated in a hotel with electricity.
I can understand the stress of this situation, but the treatment we received from Jane was atrocious. I’m sure she was stressed, but good customer service would have been for her to have helped us, not mistreated us.
A good and well-run establishment should have in place an emergency procedure (an arrangement with another hotel in the area, transportation to get the guests there and excellent communication in what would happen and when). I understand this was unforeseen, but a in-place procedure would have made Jane’s and our life a lot easier. That is the sign of a good hotel….how they handle problems.
BTW, everything was fine before we lost electricity, so if you are lucky enough not to run into a problem, you should be fine.
