Great House

Pictures don’t do the house justice! Great communication with property manager, super comfortable bedrooms, living room, and TV room in the basement. Kids/teenagers loved the dock and basement.

Lake Fun!!! PERFECT LOCATION

Great house. Kids on lower level, adults upstairs. Plenty to do at house. Great place to swim, boat and hang out on the deck! Dog friendly. Light traffic road , great for walking the dog. May rent again!

Perfect Family Getaway

The pictures don't do this property justice; it's amazing beyond belief and an ideal setting for a family getaway. The private dock offered the perfect setting for our kids to play in a fairly remote area of the lake. Though, when we rented a power boat for the day, we could easily access the main areas of the lake and enjoy tubing without being too close to residential areas. It's a great house too, but the water is why I booked it and would certainly go back.

This home was wonderfully equipped, as a matter of fact they had nice bonuses such as soap, TP, shampoo available so you didn't need anything right away. The only drawback is if you have an issue with stairs. It is 90 stairs to the water. Very safe stairs so I used it as exercise but if you struggle with using stairs this may not be your place. The view is amazing and the home is very confortable

Wonderful Trip

We had a wonderful 2 week stay at the house. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The dock was beautiful and we enjoyed all the fish we caught. The house is a lot of fun and perfect for families. We would absolutely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

The break we needed

We loved staying at the lake house at sunset point. There was plenty of room for us and our pup. The house is nicely appointed and very comfortable and clean. The main bath and kitchen are a little outdated but everything works well still and is in good condition. We were slightly confused by some of the many light switches during our stay. Some of them don’t work/don’t turn on any lights/fans but there is a ton of natural light in the home so it wasn’t a huge deal for us. We sat at the dock every day and loved lounging around with our lab watching the boats go by. Good location relatively close to the White House corner store, Food Lion, restaurants and the state park. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us!

Great escape

We had a wonderful time. The house is right on the lake and had so many things to do - we played pool, ping pong, paddle boarded, kayaked, swam in the lake, and played a few games. The kitchen was well equipped. We hope to return next year.

Wonderful family vacation!!

We have never been to Smith Mountain Lake before and absolutely loved our week there. The home is nice, clean, and was perfect for our family. We enjoyed playing pool, eating dinner on the deck and having room to stretch out. We rented a boat for 5 days from a local marina and was able to explore the whole lake. There are approximately 90 steps to get from the deck to the the dock! What a workout! We quickly appreciated the fact we were in a cove and not in the main part of the lake which kept the noise and waves to a minimum.We enjoyed fishing, The Ice cream boat visited us many times and that was a highlight (have cash). I’ve told many people about our trip and would love to go again and see the updates that are planned. Thank you for your hospitality.

Restful Retreat

Our week was restorative and restful in the off season (early May). This house was absolutely perfect for four adults and our large german shepherd! The view was beautiful, awesome dock, very comfortable furnishings and a well-appointed kitchen. Highly recommend! Enjoyed the kayaks, pool table, foosball table and dock fishing very much. Also a nice area for walking our dog and wandering over to the marina. We were too early in the season to enjoy the water but loved the absolute peace and quiet. Only suggestion would be to provide more dishtowels and essentials (hand soap, kitchen soap, toilet paper, paper towels supplied were meager)

Lake View Doesn't Disappoint

The view of the lake was absolutely beautiful. The house was clean and had the amenities advertised. We tried the kayaks on the lake. The spacious living room offered comfy seating and a nice big TV. We watched as spring came to life all around us and thoroughly enjoyed the views.

Pretty Sweet

This is a really nice property it was only my husband and I and our dog so there was an over abundance of space - if you wanted to have another family it's a perfect setup for privacy or sometimes needed alone time. The house is not to far from restaurants and stores and having lake access was key ~ note; there are 76 stairs to the dock so keep that in mind. All in all the property was in good shape there are a few things that need to be attended to because of their age or prior damage, such as the carpet on the lower level stairs and stains in the kitchen sink other than that it's a keeper for future visits to SML.

Great Lake Home

We really enjoyed our stay at Smith Mt Lake. The home was just as described. Lots of room and very comfortable for our weekend stay. Beautiful views from the bedrooms and living areas. Well maintained and very clean. Will be back!!

Clean and functional

Had pretty much everything we needed. Kitchen lacked some essentials but we made due. Had issues with TV but maintenance team came to troubleshoot within 30 min of my call. Very clean space!
