Host was very welcoming and accommodating. The house was perfect for us - on the water, dock was super nice for our boat, close to grocery and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Escape

This was a great spot for our weekend getaway! The home had everything we needed and was so easy to access! Thank you for providing a great spot for all of us to getaway for a little bit and enjoy the lake views!

Great Lake Retreat

Very comfortable home and peaceful location. The decks and the dock are fantastic and love the easy walk to the doc. We have a dog recovering from ACL surgery and a daughter about to get ACL surgery and they were both able to make the easy walk to the lake.

The location on the lake and the dock were wonderful! The house was comfortable, and we enjoyed it. The kitchen is not well equipped, and we cooked every night so that annoying. The house needs some updating/maintaining (furniture, cleaning out closets, bathroom caulking, oven display doesn't work). Overall, it was a very nice stay.

October at SML

Had the most perfect weather to be at Smith Mountain Lake and trees near rental were at peak color. Cove house is located on is very quiet. Perfect getaway for us.

Beautiful Getaway

The area is gorgeous, the VRBO was perfect for us, very comfortable and relaxing. The screened in deck was great and we spent a great deal of time down on the new docks! It was quiet and the scenery was beautiful. Would highly recommend it. Thank you!

Amazing visit to the lake. The house is great and it was like walking into a show home with how clean everything was. I also love how all the light switches are labeled. Small details like this make your stay here great!

Blue Ridge Escapes was ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!! Any questions or anything I needed was handled better than quickly and right on point!!! The people I dealt with were AWESOME and very respectful of any of our family’s needs. Home was just amazing and the location!!! Would love to only deal with Blue Ridge Escapes on all of our trips!!! Not enough stars to give the people with this company!!! They accommodate to every single one of your questions or concerns!!!

Great location and quiet cove

Enjoyed our short stay. Wonderful dock with plenty of room to fish and hang out! Boat ramp close by. Loved the enclosed porch too. Grocery and restaurants not too far away. Owner was very responsive!

Clean and orderly

The property was in great location for us very clean and orderly. We only used a very few rooms in the house our daughters had to back out at the last minute. The house has plenty of room for a large group and being on the lake a must stay again place for us.

Great getaway!

This home was an excellent spot for a family getaway! The house was clean and well-maintained. The dock, deck, and screened-in porch provided excellent places to relax around the house and by the water. The location was ideal, tucked into a quiet cove while also quite close to Bridgewater. The gentle sloped lot made for an easy trip down to the lake. Communication with the host was easy and prompt. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice lake house

Everything was nice except the kitchen, bathrooms and floors were dirty. We had to clean when we arrived.

Great place!

Our family enjoyed the house and the dock was the best part. The house was very clean and in a very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and swimming all day. Boat rentals are convenient and near the house. Rent a boat for the day and come back to the house for lunch. There are lots of deer so watch out while driving the neighborhood.

What a fantastic getaway!

This was our first time visiting SML and we loved everything about it. The exterior of this property had everything you could ask for! A beautiful dock, an awesome upper level and lower level screened in deck and parking for the boat we rented. The interior had a lovely master and common area. Some improvements could be made to the restrooms and lower level decor but overall it was perfect for our group of 6. Highly recommend!

Cozy and Comforting

We had an issue with the key in the beginning, but it all worked out. Property manager was responsive. Rooms and experience were as expected in the pictures. I’d recommend a fire pit, but other than that it was a comforting and cozy experience for my family.

Great dock and outdoor space

Our stay was comfortable and very enjoyable. The dock and floating docks are great and it’s a very nice quiet cove. Some of the bedrooms are lacking a bit of furnishings but other then some small house keeping the inside was sufficient. The yard was in need of a cut and some landscaping needed to be done. They have a very nice grill in the garage however the garage had 10 bags of trash that needed to be taken out and didn’t smell pleasant. With a bit more attention to detail this place could easily be 5/5.

Okay but needs some maintenance

Property was adequate for our stay in Nov. I can see how the key benefits are outside with nice deck, walkway, boathouse and location right on the water. Not being able to use those in Nov put the focus on the house which needs some maintenance. Overhead lights were not working in a couple spots and lighting was dim throughout. Bathrooms had mildew-stained caulking in tubs/shower, coffee maker was cracked and leaking, freezer was broken on fridge and property was covered in leaves so much so that we had to get out find the edges of the driveway and make a line before pulling in and out. House was well cleaned inside. Expected a little more for the price.
