Short drive to the slopes!
This property is perfect for a ski weekend! Its only about 5 minutes from Monarch ski resort. The property was clean and had a great view!

Great place to stay in the mountains!
We’ve stayed here 3 or 4 times over the years and always love it. Clean, warm and close to Monarch ski area. Love the wood stove!

Holiday Getaway close to Monarch
My husband and I were very pleased with this VRBO. The home was very clean, looked exactly like the pictures, well stocked, and had clear communication and instructions from the Property Managers. It was an easy 5-7 minute drive to Monarch, which was our primary reason for staying in Garfield, and had everything plus more to meet our needs. They even left puppy poop bags next to the house keys for our fur babies. Would recommend and stay here again!

Beautiful spot for a ski trip
Stayed here for a long weekend ski trip at Monarch and the location couldn’t have been better! Only a few minutes from the resort even with weekend morning traffic, and the home itself is incredibly cozy. Beautiful views, a warm shower, wood-burning stove, in-unit laundry, nice open kitchen — we couldn’t have asked for a better dog-friendly place to stay! Only thing that was confusing is another home in the small town of Garfield shares this property’s street address. Be sure you’re at the correct home when checking in or you might look like you’re trespassing. Thankfully the neighbors helped me out!

Sweet little cabin hideaway!
We love staying at this cabin. This is our third say here and we love the quiet location, the pretty view from the deck, and the closeness to town. It's rustic and extremely comfortable. This place has all the amenities we need. The kitchen is great. And the check-in process was a breeze. We will stay here often!

Beautiful property made for a great getaway
This cozy remodeled cabin was perfect for our family. We loved the layout of the cabin, and the deck in the back gave us amazing views of the valley. It had all the amenities we could want, and when we needed something, the hosts were quick to respond and easy to work with. Perfect launching point for many of the adventures to be had in Chaffee county!

GREAT PLACE
Really nice cabin. Just the right size for 2 people and two dogs. Quite and the deck was amazing along with view. The only negative was that we had to find dog parks for the pups. No place for them to potty but on gravel or by the dumpster. Wouldn't bring them back. Overall this place was a winner.

It was an amazing cabin with great history and beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Make sure you read the welcome letter that gives specific directions to get to the house! We enjoyed our stay!

The Perfect Getaway
Our family was looking for a quite place in the mountains where we could sit on the deck and enjoy a great view. This place was perfect. The deck experience can't be beat - a beautiful wooded hillside to view while listening to the the rushing river below. It was heaven. We hiked up to Boss Lake (the trailhead is conveniently .2 miles from the property) and had fun day trips to Salida and the Great Sand Dunes. The property is very comfortable and has a well-stocked kitchen and necessities like dish soap, laundry soap and shower soap, shampoo and conditioner. We had a great time!

Will book again
We plan on renting this place twice a year. Itbwas perfect for our family of 4. We skied Monarch, took the pooch for walks in the woods, played scrabble and had a great weekend. This home is comfortable, the location is great and the views are peaceful. We loved it.

Lots of light in this cozy mountain house!
Cozy clean mountain home with nice views from plenty windows made for a relaxing winter vaca. We loved the unique layout that was very user friendly. Easy access from driveway to mud room for ski gear. Wood burning stove and lots of south facing windows kept us warm in January. So close to great skiing at Monarch.

Convenient Mountain cabin with great access to Monarch
We had a great stay in the cabin. Even with feet of snow it provided us easy (plowed) access to get out to the ski mountain everyday with a cozy home base at night.

Relaxing Stream-side Cabin
Enjoyed the 2 night stay. My wife, our two children and dog stayed here and it was great. Open the windows to hear the stream nearby during the day and fire up the wood stove at night for a cozy warmth.

Mountain Getaway
We had a terrific couple days in Garfield! Just as described - clean, comfy and well stocked! Recommend bringing your own coffee (there is only enough for the first morning) and olive oil if you’re cooking. A little difficult to find as some of the streets aren’t well marked (recommend arriving when you still have daylight). Great views and feels very secluded without being too far from town. Highly recommend, would definitely come back.

Great Mountain Get Away
This was a great place to get away from the busier life. It was close enough to town, but also felt secluded. The listing was accurate, and the house was in good order. This a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Cozy Cabin
Loved our quiet little get away. Close to the ski resort and the perfect place to come home to after a day of skiing. Comfy, cozy little place off the beaten path but close enough to civilization if you need it. We all loved it!

Monarch ski trip
Ideal for couple or family with 1 or 2 kids. Super close to Monarch. A little difficult to find at night and with the snow banks but small area. You will find it. Heat is sensitive can get very warm and with so many zones difficult to get it just right. It seamed that the living room and entry zones regulated most overall heat. When in doubt keep it low. The shower head is incredible. Set up is perfect for chilling after a day of skiing. Kitchen is pretty well stocked scrub pad for dishes was all that I felt was missing. The larger bedroom sliding door blind was broken. We just removed for the trip and put back up after. It no longer could be pulled up. Deck gets great solar all day long. So we enjoyed the deck even in the cold. Limited furniture if you have a larger group. It had everything we needed and the location to Monarch makes it a return destination.

Great location!
Really great location for getting away and unplugging. Fully stocked kitchen. Directions to the house were a little difficult and a Google pin could be added to the instructions. The house is pet friendly which is great but I don’t think it was vacuumed enough in between stays. If you are a skier this is a great location to get to Monarch quickly! Also the WiFi worked great!

Amazing Ski Location
Great property with awesome access to Monarch Ski area. It was fun to read the coffee table book on the history of the cabin. You may want to being your own sheets, a skillet and a humidifier. Otherwise the place is perfect.

Nice quiet place. Lovely deck with great views. Even met the neighbor who was super friendly. The place was well stocked and we enjoyed our down time relaxing. It is close to the ski resort for skiers. and the cabin has a great history and the coffee table book was interesting to learn about the area and the cabin. Love the rock in the kitchen and the story behind it. Great energy
