Hidden gem in the hills of West Virginia.

Great place for family and or friends. Very rustic yet very clean and usable. River access great and felt very comfortable and safe there.

Inviting, cozy, lovely surroundings. This property is exactly as described, and we very much enjoyed the sounds of the river rolling by. There were plenty of amenities inside and outside and our party of 8 was more than comfortable. The host was available and approachable and kind. Thank you for a really lovely, quiet, stay.

I have rented vacation houses all over the country, this is the first rental that I would love to stay in again. The location was wonderful, the house was so clean. Sherry was very easy to work with.

Piacentino weekend

The house was a little hard to find the first day but we were fine getting around after that. We were welcomed by Sharon, who couldn’t have been more helpful. The house is very nice. It had everything we needed. The views were amazing and we loved just sitting on the front porch watching the river.

A little out of the way, but worth it!

6 of us were on the area for a family reunion in Grafton. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space, with the younger of us having fun in the river. The house was really beautiful, and well-appointed. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. There's a lot of living space inside and out. The host lives next door and has 2 large, friendly dogs, who enjoyed visiting us. We hope to come back sometime, and sure hope to stay at this location; it was great!

Beautiful and peaceful

Lovely house, very comfortable (we were eight) with many beautiful details. The front porch and back deck were favorite for hanging out. The area is gorgeous. The river was unfortunately too high for swimming, but the nearby Tygart lake is fantastic. Our multi-generation family had a great time and made lasting memories.

Great vacation spot!

Need to unplug and unwind? This is the place for you. Two families (4 kids) stayed here. Enough space for the kids to do their own thing without bothering parents, when they weren't in the river. We spent most evenings sitting in the river, relaxing, while the kids tired themselves out. The location is close enough to horseback riding, rafting, visit museums.

Very comfortable, impeccably clean

The owners of this property clearly invested a lot of thought and effort into making this place a highly desirable place to stay. The accommodations, interior and exterior, were perfect. The house has a country charm and is tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped and the furnishings are very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Favorite Spot

My family and I have stayed at this property for the last 7 years or so. Every year the home seems to have been updated in a way that makes every aspect of your stay even more enjoyable, and convienent. This year, the owners have provided portable air-conditioners in the upper bedrooms to help combat the warm air that is hard to combat in this beautiful old (albiet immactulately restored) country-house. Surrounded in total beauty, there's nothing to not love about the area. If you're from or familar with WV, you understand you're going to drive about 20 minutes to reach your nearest grocery/convienece store, but I'd assume that's what you're looking for if you're considering this area to begin with. The owners dogs will greet you as you come and go each day. They join my partner and I on our daily walks, which seems to carry this spiritual vibe, like these pups are guiding and protecting you on your journey. These dogs are also great with other dogs. We have two of our own, and have never had any issues. Thank you for all you do to provide such a lovely spot in an area that does not otherwise provide many options for those looking for the all the creature comforts during their stay.

Please don’t rent this place, because we want to go back whenever we can.

The photos don’t do it justice. Incredible place easy check in check out. Just a wonderful experience. Definitely coming back if they will have us. A buddy had a cabin up the road we used to go to, and introduced us to the Tygart river. Been hooked ever since. This place is great! David

Charming Farmhouse

Beautifully renovated farm house with plenty of room and charm, right across the street from the Tygart River. Property manager was very accommodating and the kitchen was well stocked. Plan on returning!

Great river getaway

The house was much larger than expected! My husband met his brother there with the kids and all had a great time. Enjoyed having the dogs around too as the welcoming crew!

Awesome vacation home!

We loved this vacation property so much! We had such a great time here. The house is beautiful and clean with a gorgeous river view. There is so much space with the bedrooms to have space and it is also great for time together. We loved the river and our kids swam right there and also down the road a little bit where there is a beach. Town is close with food stores, restaurants, etc. Owners are such a great family who are right next door and so very helpful. We also loved to see the neighborhood dogs and will really miss them and this house now that we are home. We loved it here and hope to return again in the future!

Lovely stay in a beautiful home
