This was a really great place to stay. My wife and I stayed for 8 days in Feb 2021 and really enjoyed our time. There are a couple small caveats, but overall, we worked remotely here and did tons of hiking in the Moab area, all while enjoying moderate weather and having a comfortable place to sleep at night.
The internet here had two mornings where it was pretty bad, but in general I was able to work nearly a full 40-hour work week at this cabin with their internet. A couple times I drove to town for video calls, but at one point I had a 90-minute video call from the cabin without a single interruption. It seems to be weather dependent but I'm not sure.
Town is 15-20 minutes away, depending on how close you need to be (LTE service or grocery store). We didn’t think that was too far, especially for the peace and quiet here, as well as the views. There was no AT&T service for us here, but the internet was good enough.
The side room with the murphy bed is very cold in the winter. It’s probably great in the summer, but it is quite chilly in the winter. We hardly watched any TV (it’s the TV room) because the room was so chilly to be in. Not a big deal though – we were there for Moab not Netflix. There was a space heater provided for this room if you want to use it. There’s also a space heater in the main bedroom, which we did use at night. The furnace kept the main part of the home warm enough.
The double shower is very nice, though the hot water tank will empty fairly quickly. Again, wintertime, so in the summer you may get more mileage.
I’d strongly recommend the Fisher Towers Trail about 20 miles NE of town. A truly underrated hike. Also driving the La Sal Loop, which is the road to this place.
Overall, we had a wonderful trip exploring the Moab area and staying in this cabin. The cabin has a really nice feel to it – a peaceful place to work and come home to after exploring. We would have stayed longer if schedule had allowed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to any of my friends or family.
