Winter retreat

Amazing Christmas!
We spent Christmas in this cabin and it was a great time. Views are spectacular and it's not a far drive to Moab and all the desert has to offer while staying in a mountain setting. The cabin was pretty chilly, but we did our best with the space heaters provided. It was very cozy.

Nice cabin
Overall the cabin was nice. It did give me frat house vibes with the furniture. The only things I really didn’t like was that you have to drive up LaSal mnt about 15 minutes to get to the cabin. That being said the star gazing and views were amazing.

Even Better Than The Pics!!!
My husband and I stayed here 4 nights and it is even more breathtaking than the pics! The setting: high on the La Sal Mountain Loop with views in every direction! Prettiest views I've ever seen. It was breathtaking. We sat on the porches (1st and 2nd floor) and listened to the QUIET and watched the sunrises, the sunsets, and OH THE STARS***. The home was perfect for us: clean, quiet and we left feeling fully renewed. Thank you for sharing this piece of paradise!!

Exceeded expectations - wonderful stay
Gorgeous views and cozy cabin. Everything we needed for our stay was available, including well-stocked kitchen, towels, games, and so on. Peaceful and quiet. Enough room to gather together as well as find space to be alone. Overall delightful.

Private Cabin with spectacular views
Spectacular views, well appointed cabin, comfortable accommodations. Owner was very responsive to a minor issue. Would highly recommend if you like privacy/something off the beaten path. Star gazing was spectacular!

Perfect Vacation Spot Away From Town
While this rental is about 30 miles out of town, and up in the mountains, it’s the perfect get-away spot. We had ample space and amazing views. The sunrises and sunsets were breathtaking. There was more than enough kitchenware items to cook with. The rental was clean. There are other reviews commenting on the shower head—it is short! We enjoyed the fire pit one night and even grilled out on the patio. We will definitely be coming back! We brought our 24-foot trailer and pickup truck, and had more than enough space to park both next to the home (and not block the circle driveway).

Wonderful Place!
This property was perfect for our time in Moab visiting the Canyonlands & Arches. We also went on the Moab Jetts Adventure on the Colorado River which I would high recommend. The place was clean and nice to come back to after a busy day of hiking.

Cozy getaway
After getting a little delayed with check in, we had a great stay. The cabin has everything you need to relax after a long day of exploring Moab. The views from the cabin itself and the road up are truly amazing. Do note that the shower head is a little low.

We loved the home, the property and the views. The house was all we needed and had room for another couple if necessary. The location is out of the way but that’s what we were looking for and it didn’t disappoint. The drive up and out is worth so much.

Peaceful Mountain Getaway
Beautiful peaceful cabin in the mountains. Amazing place out of the heat with cool breezes and spectacular views. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds at the feeder while relaxing on the cozy porch too. Inside was very clean and had everything we needed for cooking our own meals. The space accommodated our family of five very comfortably.

The cabin was in a beautiful mountain setting-delightfully far from noise and people. There were no keys on the table as expected. instead there was a lock on the door which my friend knew how to use-but I sure didn't. It would be helpful to have directions written and posted on wall on above table. All-washing machine directions clearly posted would help. There was no liquid soap as expected-but instead little packets that did not open. A vegetable peeler would be useful as well as a tea kettle. we Loved this cabin and highly recommend it.

Awesome place in the mountains!
We loved our stay at Pioneer Cabin. It has such a unique location- up in the mountains but with a beautiful view down into Moab and the canyons. It is close enough to Moab to be convenient, but far enough away to feel peaceful and secluded. The property is well-stocked, cozy and clean- exactly what we needed after busy days in the National Parks and doing excursions. When a surprise overnight snowstorm hit (in April!), a snow plow even came through so we could get down the mountain. We really loved our stay at this cabin and would highly recommend it!

We got to the cabin on Sunday afternoon and right from the beginning, it was very comfortable. It was the best place to come back to at the end of an adventurous day! Incredible Cabin
Wonderful little cabin above Moab - my girlfriend, dog, and I all enjoyed our stay in this wonderfully located cabin. Beautiful mountain and Desert views, and both the sunsets and sunrises were incredible. We had a less than ideal bug situation the weekend we were there but the owner was responsive and communicated to us there wasn’t much that could be done. We stayed and enjoyed this beautiful place as planned. The owner was very nice and easy to interact with.

Fall colors perfect!
For the 4 of us it was perfect, cozy n warm. As cold as it got at night for us Texans we turned off all 4 oil heaters. It was very comfortable all night long! Very clean and well appointed is this cabin. We loved the "free range cows" roaming around! We enjoyed the outdoor grill and the cozy kitchen nook to eat and gaze outside. Thank you for such a wonderful time the 4 us had. Your hospitality along with Ellie made our stay the most memorable we've ever had! Thank you again and look forward to another visit with ya'll! 💞

Exceeded all our expectations
My wife and I just spent three days at this property. We loved everything about our stay from the road up into the mountain, the gorgeous views of the snow capped La Sal mountains, the deer and of course the gorgeous cabin home. We loved coming back each night to an environment that is so different than Moab and as beautiful as the parks. Beth thought of all the details to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The only sound is the bluebirds
We stayed in early April and it was great. In the hotter parts of the day it was cool at the house, and the view of the snow covered mountains was perfect. Great view on the road to the drive way, and the neighbor's dog Ellie, is a sweet sweet lab who loves to play chase the deer at sunset. The kitchen had most of what we needed to cook meals, and the grill was nice. Beds were comfortable. (If you have a choice between Pioneer 1 and 2, Pioneer 1 has a sunset view of Pioneer 2, Pioneer 2 has an unobstructed sunset view. ) Literally, the only sound we heard from the occasional car was the bluebirds.

Incredible view, no central HVAC
Cabin had everything you needed, and a hard to beat view.We were there in late feb and there were space heaters in every room to keep it warm. Kept the place warm and cozy, but we were just not expecting it.

The pioneer cabin was great. If you want to be away from the city and don't mind a short (20 minute) drive up the mountain side, this is the property for you. Totally quiet, peaceful and isolated from town with the most spectacular view of the LaSal mountain range. This was one of the most beautiful places we've been!

Gorgeous and cozy
We were there in a winter wonderland, and it couldn't have been prettier. While there was no central heat, the radiators did a great job of keeping the cabin cozy and warm. The road up the mountain was kept cleared, so as long as your vehicle can make it across the driveway through a good amount of snow, the rest of the way is no issue. Wifi was surprisingly awesome which was appreciated since we were working remotely while there. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we slept well. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because after arrival, we saw a note on the refrigerator that said pets must be kept off all furniture and beds and cannot be left in the cabin alone unless in a crate. None of this was mentioned in the listing, and had we known, we probably wouldn't have rented this cabin. However, it ended up working out fine for us, and we did have a great stay - just FYI for anyone planning on bringing their dog/s since this isn't communicated prior.

Marvelous Moab Getaway
My husband and I (including our two dogs) had a wonderful vacation at Pioneer Cabin #1. It is in a secluded spot, yet is ideally located for the mountains and the multiple national and state parks that are nearby. The cabin is perfect for 2-4 people and has all the amenities we required, including very comfortable beds. Looking forward to returning soon!

Great Getaway Cabin
