Key failure was communication from the host.
First: the front door panel wouldn't let us into the building. When we messaged on arrival at 10:00 at night, they responded thay and the office were aware of the problem and to use the back door. Well why don't you tell your guests that before they get there?
Second: The boiler for the hot water broke Sunday. We had no hot water for showers Monday and Tuesday. The office messages all residents and the host that there was a hot water failure. The host completely failed to pass the message along to the guests.
Third: the updates from the office that the hot water would not be fixed until Thursday did not get passed on either. This left us taking ice cold showers for two days when we finally got desperate to get clean! Totally not acceptable!
To be blunt: I understand that problems happen with infrastructure in buildings. Communicate is under the hosts complete control. This has been the worst experience staying somewhere I have ever had.
