"Family of 5 with 3 college age kids. This property was just as advertised. It is clean and simple but nice. Property has 2studio apartments and a rooftop terrace. No hammocks as in pics. The 3 kids took the downstairs floor with two beds and my husband and I took the second floor. No air conditioning but not needed with the ceiling fans and screened windows opened. "This location is fantastic. Check in, communication, check out, everything was as easy as it gets.The Good:The location itself was amazing. The town of El Castillo is, in my opinion a much better choice than La Fortuna. There's almost no traffic, its unique, gorgeous and you get that authentic local feel because there's seemingly few other tourists there. There are no souvenir shops or shops to browse but there are several places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner and theres great coffee, views...

"The place is perfectly located, beautiful mountains view with an incredible sunset watching point. It has a great proximity to Santa Elena, Monteverde and all attractions around. Communication with the host is very smooth. Yaloco Chalet is semi-glamping accomodation though (tent door in the main bedroom), it is a bit challenging to rest when you have a light sleep - quite noisy with wind and/ or rain. Other than that it was a nice 2-nights' stay."

"We had such an amazing time! William and his team took such great care of us! From cooking us wonderful meals to helping us plan all of our excursions, we were very well taken care of. I highly recommend the hike on the property. We had a great time zip lining, visiting the hot springs (the waterslide was so fun), volcano hike and chocolate/coffee tour. We also appreciated the great communication before and during our stay. "

The views are incredible, the bird watching from the porch provides hours of enjoyment, and the accommodations are very comfortable. "My family of five really enjoyed staying at this house. It was nice and big and fully stocked, so all five of us felt very comfortable. "Very nice coupel which is having this place, very personal and seems to be in the middle of the jungle. In the night you can here all the mystic sounds of the jungle when standing on the patio in front of the room. Typical breakfast, very tasty. Good to make trips to el arenal or the therm baldi. You need a car though."

"What a cool little town El Castillo is! Highly recommend staying at Firefly. You can walk to restaurants, there is a really nice pool on-property and you can walk up the road to Lilander's for an amazing horseback riding tour. Agustin is incredibly nice and helpful with everything related to the house. This house is close to Sky Adventures and the Arenal National Park. Great location, lots of birds and wildlife everywhere. Really, really enjoyed our stay."
