This was a great property or two mothers taking four children out on spring break walking distance from the beach less than five minutes to decks to catch the sun in the morning with your coffee or in the evening just to relax great location to stay at

Wasn’t what I hoped for…

2 stars… Cons: Upon arrival the floors and furniture were not clean. There was trash, dirt, sand, and party decor (balloons) in the floor. Literally blown up blue balloons under chairs in the living room that were left by the previous guests and the cleaning crew. There was food crumbs left in the chairs of the dining table. There was also food crumbs in the couch and love seat. Previous guest random things left behind under beds. It appeared the surfaces of other things had been wiped clean and bed sheets had been changed. The furniture is very old, stained, and coming apart in spots. The bed comforters are old, thin, and while appeared clean, I didn’t want to cover up with them. The bathrooms are older as well. One of the tubs is a garden tub. With all that being said, everything in the unit after we personally cleaned it, is still fine for use. Also, RealJoy does not know the actual wifi password, it’s on the refrigerator on an info magnet. The walls are pretty thin, so we could hear our neighbors every move. They were doing renovations around us and those started pretty early and was annoying. Pros: The location is good. Probably about 300-400 yards to the public beach access where they have a ramp instead of stairs as well as bathrooms. The beach is great with chair rentals available if you’re early enough, attendant's walking and picking up trash, and large trash bags for you. The water was fantastic also. The condo is on Miramar beach, but you have access to all the areas of Destin, Miramar, and Sandestin within 20 minutes or so it seemed. Bottom line is that it worked out just fine, but it was old and the cleanliness was not good. I requested my cleaning fee be refunded considering I had to clean the place myself upon arrival, but have yet to hear back.

loved the location

we loved our trip to Miramar Beach and the condo was a great fit (neighbors were wonderful and such a quick walk to the beach!). however, two things of note: 1) the bedrooms are much smaller than they appear in the photos, and 2) the cleaning service is far below what is acceptable. The floors weren't mopped, the surfaces weren't wiped down, and the dishes were filthy. All of our feet were black with dirt after just two hours of walking barefoot in the house. We called the management company and they sent the cleaning crew to clean again the next day. However, the crew came with no mop and no spray and said they weren't allowed to use the mop at the house. We ended up giving the unit a deep clean ourselves.

Fall Break long weekend

Cute duplex apartment

Very cute little duplex Great location for walking to the beach! Downside for me was they have just what you need, no extras. I like to clean my counters daily and their wasn’t any cleaning supply’s available. I’m not going to cleaning supply’s for a vacation house. Great house just not a homey feel as your going through a realtor and the home owners don’t have anything to do with your reservation. (Just based off of homes I have stayed in) would definitely recommend this home though.

Great place!

Highly recommend staying here. We were in town for vacation/softball tournament, and a family who’s daughter played for the same team, came over the last night and wished they had something similar. Very close to the beach and everything else you need. Would reserve again!

Clean and Convenient

This property is 300 steps (my dad counted) away from public access to the beach. The condo itself is super cute and roomy. We had 2 kids, ourselves and my parents and we never felt crowded at all. There is grills to use on site if you want to grill. If you're bringing small children I would bring plastic plates/cups/silverware as everything is glass there. Lots of construction on the main road getting there so it does take a bit to get back if you leave in peak hours. The beach access is very crowded because it is public but everyone is super friendly and you will likely become friends with your tent neighbors on the beach. Contact with the property if we ever needed anything was very quick and responsive. Over all I am very satisfied we booked this room for our trip. Thanks again!!

Exceeded expectations

Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The unit was immaculate and well maintained. The A/C was good and cold and all appliances looked fairly new. We had everything we needed and walked daily to the beach. Check in and out were both super easy. We are already talking about returning next year. Thanks so much for having us!

Great location, great place

This place is exactly as described. You can definitely walk to the beach, but there is also convenient parking right beside the beach. If you check out the signs at the beach, you can text to get updates on beach conditions, which was super handy since we had a few red flags during our stay. You will park in the spot for your unit (there's a parking pass on the kitchen counter for your use). Unmarked spots can also be used and there's a pass for an additional car to use those as well. We checked in late and had no issues at all. You get a code to use to unlock your door and we never had issues. The place was really clean. There are a few games for kids to play (mine loved bingo, haha!). A drawer with a pen, scotch tape, scratch paper. There isn't salt/pepper but there is a little spice rack that has just about anything you'd need. As far as kitchen stuff, they have everything - including a muffin pan and pizza pan/pizza cutter. Very impressively stocked. You do get netflix which worked fine for us as well. The couches were very comfy to hang out on. Both bedrooms have attached bathrooms (and a 1/2 bath downstairs). One of the bathtubs is a garden tub, and the other is a regular one (both have showers). Just fyi in case anyone in your party has trouble stepping up to get in the shower. In the bedrooms there are switches for both the fan and light, so that's nice on those humid nights. The only hiccup in our stay was the can opener doesn't work, but we made do. The washer/dryer is super convenient in a closet off the kitchen and works well. We cooked all our meals and the stove/oven/microwave worked great. There are grills in the lawn area by the pool if you want to do that. The pool is not heated, just fyi. Location wise, you are past the traffic really. Close to a Dollar General, Culvers, McDonalds, and Tom Thumb for gas. If you drive down the highway (into the areas with more traffic - also not far though maybe 2 miles), there's a Publix and basically any store you'd need for your stay. On the counter there was a paper towel roll, a small dish soap, and a dishwasher tablet. Each bathroom had a roll of toilet paper to get you started. There are plenty of towels for showering. Before leaving, you put all your towels in the bathtub, put the air on 78, and return the parking pass.

Wonderful vacation on the gulf

This property was one of the most affordable with close proximity to the ocean- just a few minutes to the sand! The decor was nice and it was big enough for everyone to have their own space. The only downside was the outdoor pool not being heated with the cooler spring temperatures.
