Great location

Loved this property’s location. The house is perfect for a large family/ group of friends. Having a golf cart included is a plus! We requested a few baking sheets & a large pot for cooking, management was quick to respond & bring those items to us! They were really nice to deal with. The only thing I would like to see is the door to the washer & dryer in the hallway needs to be removed. It stays open & it is interferes with the bedroom door on the right as you walk in.

Great getaway

Great property and location. The kitchen could use more utensils and baking sheets-for a house that sleeps that many people there is a need for more items. Our family had a very relaxing stay-quiet neighborhood and close to all amenities.

Beautiful house!

Plenty of room for everyone and so great that each room has its own bathroom! The golf cart is a definite plus as it’s a few blocks to the beach. Keep in mind, no tents or canopies are allowed on the private beach. You have to drive to the public areas if you have little ones that need extra shade.

Our beach wedding

This property was perfect for our family. It slept myself and my wife, our 5 children and their significant others my dad and his wife, my grandson on a provided trundle, 2 of our close friends, and our Reverend. It had everything we needed. And the golf cart was super handy shuttling everyone around as parking for vehicles in that area at the back and restaurants can be a challenge. The pool was awesome for lazy days of just hanging out. I would highly recommend this property to anyone considering a trip fo Destin

Amazing Vacation

We LOVE the neighborhood so much that we’ve stayed in 3 different houses there. This was our first time at this house and it was awesome. Plenty of space for a big family and always enough hot water for us all. We did have a few hiccups with appliances, but I was extremely impressed by how quickly they responded and had them fixed. Justin, the maintenance guy, was so sweet and never made us feel like an inconvenience. I appreciated how on top of everything they were. My biggest complaint was the 5pm check in. Every house we’ve stayed in at Miramar was 4pm, but they always allow early check in if they are finished. 5 is really late when you are traveling with lots of kids after a long day of travel. I do recognize that a lot has to be done in a small window, but that extra hour that close to dinner is pretty important. We would definitely book this house again!

Loves it, didn’t want to leave! Every room has a bathroom and it was perfect for our big group. Only thing… beach is prob more like 10 or 15 minute walk.

Family vacation

We really liked the barnacle. The rooms were clean and decorated nicely. It was nice to have so many bedrooms all with their own bathroom to accommodate everyone. The young children liked the top floor with the game and tv area. Only one of the game was working though, but it was still nice to have one. The golf cart was very convenient to have and we lucked out and had 2 golf carts for our large group. We had a few minor issues, but they were very quickly taken care of. The only recommendations would be to have a less chemicals in the pool, it was very heavily chlorinated and stung everyone’s eyes and was strong smelling on the bathing suits. Also it would be nice to have some children’s silverware and some plastic dinnerware as well as more storage bowls and pots and pans. We would stay here again

Family vacation

The house was beautiful and lots of room for everyone. Beds where comfortable and most rooms spacious. Kitchen had everything we could ever need. Pool was a good size for the kids. It was cold but kids didn’t seem to mind and we didn’t want to pay the extra to heat. I was told there was a high chair at the home and there was not. It did make it difficult when my grandson needed to eat. There was construction in the lot next to the house that we where not told about and they started working at 7:00 every morning and it was super super loud. So loud it was difficult to have a conversation out by the pool. We understand that is out of the owners control it just would have been nice to have known. We had an amazing time and everyone loved the property. Thank you!

Spacious Home

We have a summer family tradition which is to rent a house in Florida so we can enjoy each other's company. The Barnacle was a Great spacious home that allowed us to do that this year. Management was easily accessible if needed and the location from the beach was made so much easier with the golf cart provided.

A great week for family

We love the Barnacle! This was our second year staying in this neighborhood and have already booked again for 2023. We have a large family and the Barnacle was perfect for 18 of us. Property manager was quick to respond and handle the minor issues instantly. Like this group of owners and plan to continue staying in their houses during Family vacation. We also stayed in Lazy Magnolia in 2021… great house also with a bit bigger pool…

This house is very nice and spacious. The heated pool was great to have! It’s a couple blocks from the beach and has its own beach access. We would walk to the beach. We had a wonderful time during our stay!

Awesome Family Vacation Home!

This home had plenty of space for our large family vacation. The house was well equipped to handle cooking multiple meals throughout the day. My only (minor) complaint is the pool is much smaller than it appears in the pictures. When we booked last September the dimensions were not part of the listing - by no means was it a major issue during the trip. Overall I would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again!

Perfect for a large family

We absolutely loved staying there! We have a large family, ages 1-61 and it was perfect for us. The private pool was a huge hit, the kitchen was very well stocked including a griddle and crockpot, a large table to seat our family plus large sitting area to accommodate all of us. The golf cart was very nice for transporting our stuff to the beach. We would definitely come back!

Absolutely Amazing

We took our 4 Adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren. It was a total of 15. The house was very spacious, very clean with a private pool. We had the pool heated and our grandchildren were in heaven. We definitely made forever lasting memories and this house was a part of them. The free golf cart was an absolute Huge bonus.
