Cute Place!

My husband and I are recent empty nesters and needed to just get away for a little while. This property is small but perfect for a couple. We enjoyed being able to see the ocean from our room. The owners communicated well with us and overall it was a very nice stay!

Just a few things to consider

We enjoyed our stay and it was the perfect size for my son and I who were in town for a baseball tournament. I wish I had known a few things before arriving though. First, a note telling guests that they should bring a roll of quarters for the laundry room would be great. I ended up going to the bank to get a few rolls and helping other guests out since there is no change machine. Secondly, I also wish I knew that the tv was old and needed a fire stick. We could not watch Netflix or Amazon Prime which was disappointing. It was not a smart tv and was very limiting. Additionally, the room does not have a balcony or living room and is a studio. Which I knew before booking but the photos suggest otherwise and could be tricky for those booking. Not sure why they opened the other condo in the photos. Communication was wonderful once we arrived but prior to arriving messages through VRBO are not addressed. I had a few questions and a month went by with no response. Contact them through the rental agency as I do not think they check their VRBO messages. Also, note that San Destin amenities are not included. My son was disappointed that he could not use the free weights at the big gym or the tennis courts. The tennis courts are also never lite at night. We love playing in the evening at other resorts so not having access wasn’t as heart breaking. The only closet is very cluttered and we could hardly fit one suitcase in. It would be nice if it were organized in a way that makes it usable for guests.

Check in

It took over 45 mins to get the door to unlock. I tried the code on the unit beside my and it worked. That was not safe for the people staying in that unit as I could have stole everything from them. My code didn’t work and your customer service could not figure it out. Horrible experience

Great stay

The room was clean and remodeled. I loved the view from the large window and the proximity to the beach. The beds were soft and comfortable. Parking in the garage was also very convenient. Sadly, the fan/ overhead light did not work and so the place was dim at night. Overall, I would recommend staying in this unit!

Review of Luau 7102

There was no balcony on the condo. I think that is something that should definitely be in the listing. Highly recommend renting a car because you cannot get an Uber. There is a tran to take you through the resort but you are limited to shopping and dining. Food was very expensive and low quality for what I would expect for Sandestin. I would recommend a place that offers a golf cart as if it does not come with your property you cannot rent one. I sent several messages during my 4 night stay and am still waiting on response for 2 of them. Communication is not great or basically nothing. Room was decent for the price and walking distance to the beach. However was not as pictured. There was no wall hangings nor was there comforters on our beds and no balcony which is one of my favorite parts of a room. Pool was very nice and beach was gorgeous but very crowded. Keep in mind even though it states private beach it’s private for EVERYONE staying in Sandestin. Overall next time I would stay somewhere different and rent a car.

Clean room, communication is lacking

Property was very clean and tidy with a large mini fridge, great view also. The property originally stated it had a balcony, which after booking I called and inquired and they said it did not have a balcony. Also, there was a sticker on the mirror in the bathroom that said if you want clean towels, put them in the floor and they will bring new ones. After inquiring about that, we were told if we wanted clean towels we had to wash them. Also wasn't told we had a "trash chute" or the location of it or that the ice machine was in another building. Great room over all just big lack of communication with guests.

Friends Reunion❤️

Loved reuniting with my dear friends from childhood!!! We were just a short walk from the bluest of blue water and as always the most beautiful white sand in the World! Our room was perfect. We had one mishap with our bathroom sink draining but was fixed within a few hours! Can't wait for our next reunion!
