Very nice!

Sandestin is awesome. I have stayed in this area a few times. My daughter and her family stayed about 15 minutes away and this was a last minute decision for me. This was the perfect spot for me. It had just what I needed. The pool was great and easy access to the beach. This studio would work for a single,couple, or couple with two kids. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It was very nice and quiet. The pool was just a minute away, the beach was so clean and only 2 minutes walking.

Right from the start, we were not informed to download an app that gave us gate codes/door code. Finally got in and the room was dinghy. No kitchenette, the TV was permanently stuck on a baby channel and the TV was inside of a cabinet so the doors blocked the view in which you couldn’t watch TV from the bed. There is NO ICE on site! None... they took out the machines. The elevator is a joke. 2 elevators for a massive building so you had to wait long periods. The beach was overly crowded with preset chairs/umbrellas to rent so that took up 5 rows of the beach front. The closest bathroom was way off the beach. Parking space was nonexistent. Literally none available and we had to park across the road from our hotel (luau building) and walk a distance to get to the building. Check out is 10am sharp and you have to clean yourself and remove your trash or you are charged. It took 25 min to get an elevator since everyone in the entire building was leaving at the same time

Unacceptable end to a vacation

To whom it may concern, we stayed at tour vrbo property this weekend and checked out today 5-16 we were told check out was by 10 am however at 9:30 at tour cleaning staff barged into our room without knocking to clean while we had no clothes on. This was a complete disrespect for your guests and your company policy with checkout. This tainted our experience making us not want to us vrbo potentially in the future. Not to mention my girlfriend was the one not dressed and it was male cleaning personal that barged in.

Beautiful Beach Area

Our only complaint is we did not have the gate code to the Luau Complex. If we had not asked the lady in the car behind us we would not have known the code to raise the gate arm. If the code was sent to us via email I missed it. Other than that and a few days of rain we had no issues. The condo was clean and had enough towels and tissue to last our entire stay. Another plus the bed was comfy!

Sunny Comfortable Apartment

The apartment is clean, it has a nice view. The AC works wonderful. The bathroom is ample. Swimming pool is a few steps when you’re out of the building. The beach is about a block away.

Comfy stay!

My only complaint would be the size of the balcony... it wasn’t clear to me that this wasn’t a sitting balcony, which very well could’ve been my mistake, but enjoying a balcony is a huge thing for me and this was basically just a Juliet. Otherwsie, everything was perfect! The pool was a huge hit with the kiddos!

Air conditioner tended to make viberating noises. There was draining water probably from other floors that made a noise internally (no leaks), the bed topper was crooked, ( we fixed that).

Good stay! But won't again!

Check in ,door code wasn't ready and door codes for our family members failed 2 days in a row. Sucky ac, it made a ton of noise and beach chairs that were provided sucked. Beach was too crowded. But pool was awesome . Halls were hot. Room was a good size and comfy bed. Thanks Selena

Spontaneous Trip

We decided to take a spontaneous trip to Destin and stay at our favorite spot, The Luau. We absolutely love the amenities and the proximity to the beach. This condo was a great value, and we enjoyed our stay! Some of the issues from the previous negative reviews seem to have been addressed. We would stay here again!

Great weather, great pool, hightly disappointed in the room.

Luckily we arrived early, and was able to early check in. But as soon as we walked in, we noticed how outdated the room was with dingy sheets, uncomfortable couch, and small entertainment display as in tv. The bathroom has some major issues such as feces capped up behind where the cleaners changed the toilet roll, there was hair capped up around the tub, as well as holes in the wall from previous knobs/towel racks etc. the towels had to have been new, without being washed with how much lint was on our skin/clothes. The paint on this room was TERRIBLE , with splash marks in the kitchenette wall.. And stains in the carpet. We enjoyed staying at the Luau building but will be staying in a different room next time. WOULD NOT recommend staying in this room.

Great studio for the price

We stayed Saturday to Saturday during Fall Break and had a really nice time. Sandestin community has everything you need and the Luau has a terrific pool to go along with it! Tram service to Baytown, short walk to the beach and you can even go to the Hilton for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Studio at Luau was nice with a small kitchen. Sofa bed was the opportunity, its pretty thin. Could use an update with interior decorating and TV is not in the greatest position. Kitchen came with dishwashing soap, sponge and paper towels which was plus. Overall had a good stay.
