The family recently spent 4 days at this property, and was our first time at Sandestin. Sandestin was an overall wonderful time, but this specific rental did not meet our needs nor was it worth the price we paid.
- #1. EVERYTHING was broken. A small inconvenience, but when everything is broken, it is frustrating!! This would not have been an issue, but everything other reviewers had said in other reviews were STILL broken. They made no effort to fix this. Freezer? Doesn't Make ice. (Since AUG20!) WiFi didn't work very well (JUL20), Fireplace? Broken (JUN20, DEC20), Termite infestation on wood (JUN20). That cool fountain in the pictures? Turned off and drained. Master shower water handle is about to come off. We didn't check the grill or the bed, but I imagine those are still broken too. It became a joke just how many things in this place were broken. We paid for all of this to work, but my job is not to sit there on hold and wait for a technician to come fix this.
#2. No check-in instructions. There is no directions on where to put your trash, what garage to park in, etc. We were told to follow the "App" and it took us to the wrong garage. We just kind of winged it.
#3. Dirty. As others have said, it is not cleaned very well. We were given two trash bags for our entire stay.
#4. Location - Was great! We loved being central to everything, and we paid for it. The master is on the third floor, so you will get a workout walking up and down!
#5. Everyone uses the location outside the car port you park in to smoke. All of the workers smoke right next to the jasmine so its sad to have to smell the wonderful jasmine with cigarette smoke.
Overall - I may come to Sandestin again, but I would not stay at this property because they clearly do not care about the property or reviews to fix the place. I wanted to rate this as a 3/5, but as I typed this realizing that all the other reviews had given them an opportunity to fix this means they do not care about actually fixing them.

I would like my "Property and Cleaning Fees" back. I will update this review on their response.
