The owners are terrific! The neighborhood is beautiful with sidewalks, pastel houses and tree lined streets The private beach is perfection, white,soft sand, wide beach, crystal clear, warm gulf water. The cottage is nestled behind the owners' house, private with everything you might need. We';ll be back!

Spring Break Fun

Overall this place is quiet and secluded and a 10 minute walk to its private beach. However, we did not give it 5 stars because:Sofa was slip-covered, and the most uncomfortable thing we’ve ever sat upon!!!The gate code provided in the welcome instructions was incorrect. If we had been unable to not reach our landlord, it would’ve been a nightmare, as it was late. Advertised as “meticulously prepared” but everything looked just a bit tired. New paint on the walls, repair of the missing rocks in the rock floor of the bathroom, and raise the bed in the loft would go a long way. The mattress being on the low platform was just a bit tough getting down to and up out of. Minimal plastic drinkware. The outside dining table appeared very dirty and not cleaned for a long time. As well, the leaves and tree debris on the patio have not been blown off either. We repaired one of the spindles (or balustrades) on the spiral staircase that had come loose. We felt to leave it that way was a safety hazard.There are some glass shelves with side of the fireplace that appear to have not been cleaned in ages. As well, the window sills were pretty grubby and mossy. When we first entered the cottage, it smelled rather musty and as if it had been closed up for some time.There was duct tape at the entrance holding down an extension cord. It was 80% loose so we removed it to avoid a trip hazard. Only 1 dish towel was provided in the kitchen.

A slice of Heaven!

Where to start? The cottage is adorable and has everything you might need. The neighborhood is terrific with a Caribbean feel, pastel houses, porches and sidewalks. Super clean. The beach is probably the best I've ever been on and I am a beach person! white fine sand, super clear water, private, private, private! and anyone we met from workers to owners were polite and friendly. Hoping to return!

The property is well maintained and is just beautiful. It’s very private and felt like we were hidden away from the rest of the world. Quiet and very relaxing. Quick stroll to the beach through the immaculate neighborhood. Would recommend to couples or girlfriends vacation.

The cottage was awesome!

My fiance and I enjoyed the clean and cozy property. The gated community was warm and welcoming but not too crowded. We loved having access to a beach and two pools within walking distance. Kelly and Steve were very responsive and the resources they left for finding things to do in the area were a huge help.

The property was even better than the pictures. Quiet, private and secured gated community with easy access to private beach , community pools. Very convenient. Home is conveniently close to many Destin area entertainment venues and eateries. The patio is exceptional and offers a tranquil break from it all. The Home was very clean and well equipped. Anniversary Stay

The Cottage is located within a beautiful gated neighborhood, felt very secure and safe. The cottage is well decorated and very comfortable with all the amenities for a relaxing stay. Available is a lovely outdoor space/garden, nice seating and lighting and access to a grill for outdoor meals under the palm trees! A short walk through a beautiful manicured neighborhood to one of the most beautiful private beaches that you could ever experience ❤️. The cottage also has bicycles, beach chairs boogie boards available for your use. The Gaspers are very attentive and communication is very easy, the go above and beyond to make sure your stay is the very best. Will definitely be back!

Serene Stay

My husband and I stayed at Cottage Caribe to come to Mirimar Beach for a wedding. I believe this is the best place we’ve ever stayed at any beach. The neighborhood was quiet, serene, relaxing, and refreshing. We enjoyed the short scenic walks to the beach, biking around the neighborhood, walking around identifying plants (we love landscaping and gardening!), and relaxing in the back yard! We had a great spot on the beach every day, get the chair service, it’s worth it! The guys are awesome! We grilled steaks and had a romantic dinner under the lights, coffee outside every morning, and the cottage was so welcoming, and cozy!! We left so relaxed and refreshed. Also, I think the Cottage Caribe Main house is the prettiest one in the entire neighborhood. Thank you Gasper family.
