The Perfect Vacation House at Baytown Wharf

The house was modern with an open floor plan, a great bedroom configuration, with enough seating and cooking untensils for everyone. The neighborhood pool was nice and the fitness room was well stocked with exercise equipment that worked. We had a lovely stay and can't wait to return. The golf cart was the icing on the cake. It was so much fun to tool around Baytown Wharf!

Great experience!

The house was in a great location! Everything inside was clean and nice. I needed the management for a mix up and they corrected it right away. I will definitely return there!

Great stay!

We loved staying here. Beautiful home in gated Sandestin resort. Excellent, safe, and fun location close to everything you need for family fun - beach, pool, Baytowne Wharf, fishing, tennis. There were only a few minor problems - all the screens to the back porch were ripped down, so we never got to enjoy the beautiful back porch. Also the floors were dirty upon our arrival and there were tiny black bugs in the master bathroom sink/vanity area. I'm glad I brought bug spray so I handled it. It does not come with a golf cart, but you have free access to the Tram so that works great. But other than those things, it really was amazing. The beds are so comfortable, quiet neighborhood. We would definitely to stay here again!

Great house in a super area.

It is a wonderful home with a beautifully situated home in a great area of Destin. The amenities were super and the house has all that you need. The home is spacious and comfortable. It was clean and enjoyable.

Perfect beach getaway

NO GOLF CART and horrible customer service with My Vacation Haven

The property itself is beautiful! The design, furniture, layout, and setting is wonderful. Where we ran into problems was with My Vacation Haven. When we booked the property, it listed as having a golf cart. That is the number one thing my kids enjoy on our vacations in Sandestin. We were extremely disappointed when we arrived and there was no golf cart (even though it had been advertised and mentioned in the reviews). I called My Vacation Haven immediately and talked to Jeremy. I was told he was a manager and that he would get with his team and call me back that day or the next with a resolution. When I had not heard back from him the following day, I called again and talked to another manager by the name of Kaylee. She said Sunday and Monday where Jeremy's days off so not sure why he said he would call us to resolve? Kaylee said there used to be a golf cart but it had been removed from the listing (I'm positive it was listed at the time we booked and is even mentioned in the reviews). When I brought that up to Kaylee, she said "it's like if it says there is a blue couch, and we switch it to a green couch." Not sure how that translates? It talks about a golf cart and there was none. I would think the reviews talking about the golf cart would be removed but they are still there so renter beware (even now). We feel like we didn't get what we paid for. Also, the sheets on the very first night in the upstairs beds were full of sand (to the point where my kids couldn't sleep in the beds and I had to rewash the sheets - I also took pictures).

Perfection on the water

We loved this house. Clean, bright and beautifully decorated. The morning sun sparkling on the water made coffee on the screen porch extra special. Living room furniture was comfortable and looks so good. Kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed cooking. Pool and spa area are close by and very well done with trees, arbor and nice landscaping. We are thrilled we found this gem in the Laurel Grove neighborhood. Would love to return next year!

Great house!

This property is great! Spotless. The area is pristine. Our house overlooked a pond with view of golf course. Easy 5 mins to beach. Only issue, was my granddaughter left her mack computer on the side of the bed. We called several times with My Vacation haven saying they would check. They never got back with us. After 5 days, I tried again. Finally, They sent inspector and spoke with cleaning crew. I had to call again. They said it’s mot there. So…the cleaning crew got the computer. Mind you, it was my granddaughter’s fault, nut sad to think people steal. We’d still rent from them again.

Beautiful House

Our group of four adults and five kids loved our stay. Very clean and comfy beds. Negatives would be that we booked this house because there was a golf cart, but it was damaged beyond repair before our stay. Absolutely no pantry items are provided, so make sure you bring everything you need to cook, including salt & pepper. Please put a soft close toilet lid in the main bedroom. My 3 year old son was injured pretty bad by it. We would definitely stay here again!

Great and Easy Stay

The Sea Turtle Cottage did not disappoint!

We come to Sandestin every year and we love the Laurel Grove area! The Sea Turtle Cottage is one of our favorites so far! Cleanliness is a big thing to us and I will say that the cleaning crew must be top notch, as I felt like all the fine details that I would cover in my own home were covered. It was spotless and the decor & color schemes were very relaxing. The furniture and beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed! The layout was open and roomy as pictured. It was the perfect home away from home for our week vacation. The screened in back porch was great for our morning coffee and my son & his friend enjoyed fishing in the ponds in the neighborhood. Lastly, the golf cart made access to the beach a breeze, as we just zipped over through the tunnel. It is a must to get to the nightly events at the Baytowne Wharf and was convenient to go pick-up groceries within the resort. We never had to fight the traffic on the main highways, which was awesome! We will definitely check the availability of this cottage again next year! Thank you for the hospitality!

We loved Sea Turtle!

I discovered this area some years back so we always stay in this area. Sea Turtle was perfect for us with three teenagers- 15, 16,17. The girls took the upstairs suite so when they stayed up much later than us it didn’t disturb us at all, and there was plenty of room for everyone. I enjoyed the mornings of drinking coffee on the screened in porch. Highly recommend
