Don’t rent this unit

Very nice property that is suffering from a lazy owner and a rental company that placates visitors when they reach out with issues. The icemaker in the refrigerator is leaking water causing a large sheet of ice to form in the freezer. The washer and dryer don’t work properly. The entry gate to the beach closet had to be disabled by maintenance to allow entrance. The golf cart has dirty and ripped seats with non functioning seat belts. Maintenance guys frustratingly stated that they are well aware of the issues but are unable to make owner comply. Currently awaiting compensation for my stay.

Lovely Spacious Vacation Rental

The rental had everything you need for a family vacation. The golf cart was so convenient, the bedrooms were spacious, the beach closet was fully stocked, and the kitchen was ready for use. We loved being able to walk to the nearby shops. Our only let down was that the pond by the house was not stocked with fish. In a week we did not come across a single person who caught a fish there.

Amazing stay!

We loved everything about the house! It was the perfect fit for our little family. Everything was super clean and the property was beautiful! We made sure to enjoy the house as much as we enjoyed the beach and other activities. I loved cooking in the kitchen and having dinner with my family at the table. The view from the back porch was gorgeous and we even took family pictures there. I was impressed that the house looked in person just like the pictures online! The only minor inconvenience was that the room my boys stayed in had no closet or dresser for them to store their things. We would 10 out of 10 stay there again and would recommend to others! Hope to be able to come back!

Perfect Stay in Baytowne

Everything has been newly updated and is very clean. We really enjoyed watching the sunset each evening either on the beach or the back porch. The rooms are just the right size and the living room and kitchen are very comfy and accommodating. Very quick and easy check in and check out, very friendly owners. We loved the GOLF CART, great bonus!

Vacation with friends!!

We booked this condo for a week May 8-15. It is in a perfect area. Right by the pool and very close to the beach. The house is newly remodeled and it is so nice. Very clean. The beach closet had everything we needed for the beach (that was a huge plus). Beds were very comfortable. Golf cart is very nice! The back porch area is so nice looking over the water. Only thing I would recommend is a smaller dresser or chest for the guest room. There isn’t a closet in the guest room so we had to live out of our suitcase the whole week. There is a closet and chest in master bedroom but when everyone is getting ready you don’t want to have to go back and forth between rooms. We will definitely book this condo again!

Easter break

The unit was updated & decorated nicely. However, crumbs on coffee table & massive spider web by kitchen windows on the inside-my husband killed a couple bugs as well. We noticed on day 2 of our ten days that the golf cart wasn’t charging correctly. We called My Vacation Haven. They sent someone who had only been working there for 3 weeks & said he had no idea what to do. Then another repair man came, he said golf cart was charging, but readout wasn’t working. Well, we told him, the readout is showing the charge go down, but not up, so clearly it’s not working. We were told to just keep using it. Day 4 we were driving cart over to Baytown at 7:30pm - cart starts dying… My husband had to push it back to the unit in the dark. I called the emergency line. Emily from MVH texted me at 9pm making sure everyone was ok. Very nice of her. I replied with a description of what happened & she assured me techs would do what they could to get cart working. The next day, someone stopped & put a note on our door that they would b picking up the cart to work on it. 24 hours later, No one had picked up the cart. I texted Emily to inform her and inquire as to why we hadn’t received another update & requested a discount to our weekly rate since we specifically booked a unit with a golf cart & we know rental rates are higher with golf carts. Zero reply. No call, no text, no email, zip. Very frustrating to have all communication just stop. As a condo owner in Sandestin myself, we know how important the golf carts are. And I know how I would like my renters to be treated by MVH and this wasn’t acceptable.

Best Sandestin Condo so far!

We've stayed in Sandestin multiple times, and this was our favorite condo to date. The space was well laid out for our family, and we had everything we needed and more. The beach closet was an amazing extra. Our only complaint was squeaky beds - but they weren't bad, and the rest of the condo far outweighed that. We'd definitely stay here again.

We will be returning. We frequent Sandestin and so far this was our favorite rental.

Everything you would need is here. If you have small children the safety could be a concern. There needs to be baby gates on both ends. I have no complaints though, it was a great rental for our vacation.

Sandestin trip

Good location, design of condo very tasteful! Liked the upstairs glass doored shower. Location good unless you plan to go to beach often (overly crowded) tho lack of disposal was a big negative.since getting food remnants out of the drain was time consuming given the type drain used. the many windows were needing a good cleaning. Huge smears really show up in the morning sun and the afternoon sun ...try a squeege! Also, one gate missing and many dried leaves caught up in the outside courtyard area . Liked the golf cart! Beautiful trees and plants everywhere. The heat fan was broken in one bathroom and it was needed. The most difficult part was dealing with Vacation Haven. the employees made many mistakes on our booking, but after several attempts got everything right and they also didnt send anyone out when we called in our kitchen sink handle was lying in the sink upon arrival. After two days they came . also, most VRBO owners leave a starter supply of items like dishwasher det. scrub pad for pots and pans, dishcloth, dishtowels. We had to ask for this and again it was 2 days late. Would be nice to have starter supply immediately and also some toilet cleaning spray since we were there 10 days.

Pros and Cons

The condo was nicely decorated, beds were comfortable, and everything seemed clean (although I did notice dust in some out of the way places). All dishes and implements were supplied, but no condiments ( not even salt or pepper) or coffee.. The patio had a beautiful view and we enjoyed sitting out there every night., even though it was frequently noisy, what with a barking dog across the way, workers banging on a new roof nearby, and frequent lawn blowers. The renting agency “ My Vacation Haven” seemed very efficient but had many many rules you had to agree to with threats of how much it would cost you if you failed to comply. (This was somewhat of a downer for us). A map of the property would have been appreciated upon checkin, as well as something telling you where things are located. The golf cart was really big and a little hard to maneuver. For two people ( especially seniors) a two seater would have been better. The beach was a short ride away, but be aware that after parking the golf cart you still have some walking to get to the actual beach. The area is surrounded by high rise units and rented beach umbrellas are two deep, so go early. The grounds of the resort are beautiful, and to us, this was the best part.

This property is lovely!

The furnishings and decor are fantastic. The golf cart was perfect and the condo is in a great location to the beach and pool. For some reason we had problems with our door code getting deactivated, but also received quick service when calling the help number to get it fixed. The beach closet was full of stuff to use which was wonderful. Only suggestions would be adding more than one dish towel in the kitchen and also a hand towel/hand towel holder for the downstairs bathroom.

Pleasant & Relaxing

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It was better than we even anticipated. The location, amenities, & property was on point! The beds and furniture were comfortable. The outdoor area was peaceful and clean. The inside of the condo was updated but cozy at the same time. Thank you for being our little haven for the week!

Easy access to Sandestin fun!!

We had a great stay here!! Condo was very clean and would definitely stay here again. Easy access to Baytown Wharf, restaurants, shopping, and Publix for groceries...We sat on the back patio every morning and had coffee before starting our day which was wonderful!! Community is very peaceful and quiet.. All the recent renovations that have been done to this condo are exquisite!! My kids loved the condo as well and made use of the built in bunks in 2nd bedroom!!

Great place...but missed the mark on small things

Enjoyed property and location, but I just don’t understand why property managers give one dishwasher cube, two garbage bags, two small rolls of toilet paper and 4 whopping rolls of toilet paper. If your guests are going to stay for a week, for heaven sakes double that inventory. Had to buy garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, tp, paper towels. Silly. Charge me $10 more the week if you need to! Also, no salt and pepper or spatulas was ridiculous, as well...had to buy that too. Little things, but annoying. Also, not enough parking slots, had to park along curb several nights. Property security had the balls to leave us a warning one night. Really? Where would you like me to park? All that said...property was nice! Ha.
