The location and the property was nice.

The property was nice. It needs to be noted that all bed rooms require walking up a considerable amount stairs. The front desk at check in was easy. However, the directions regarding parking and unloading were not very clear.

Daughter’s 21st birthday weekend!

Our family took my daughter for her 21st birthday. She wanted to enjoy the beach as well as restaurants. Our stay was perfect. The only negative thing about the entire trip is the 2nd floor bedroom with the full bath had a bed that was horrible. It was noisy and uncomfortable. It needs to be replaced. Other than that we had an amazing stay.

Family Time

We really enjoyed our trip. The condo was spacious, clean and had a great outside porch area. The location was perfect. My only recommendation would be mattress toppers or new mattresses and baking pans.

Nice place

Love the location. Park & walk to everything or take complimentary mini bus. Accepts dogs & my dog loved it. Dog area was a short walk. They had dog stations close. The outdoor patio was the best part! Inside was nice. Needs some updating, little too gaudy & lots of “wear & tear” that needs to be fixed. Lots of stairs was the downside. Needs an elevator! Lol The fountain outside was very relaxing until they drained it, didn’t get filled so we were disappointed. We only got to enjoy it 2 out of our 5 days. Beds & furniture very comfortable. Comfortable air conditioner except for top floor, it was warm even after we had a/c set below 70. Ceiling fan was turning the incorrect way so no relief from that. There was no switch or string to reverse it(too high). Lastly, excellent rental agents that help you with any questions or concerns. No complaints. You text them & you get an answer ASAP. Unfortunately we will not be renting this unit again in the future. It’s good for a younger family to rent. One level condo is my jam. Thank you.

"Broken mattresses" and terrible food

two of three mattresses in unit were "broken" and needed to be replaced by maintenance team - this was done half way through our visit, but unfortunately our guests had to resort to sleeping on couches while we awaited replacements. the overall experience of the wharf area was quite bad - terrible food/beverage services - the quality has really declined. we have stayed at Baytowne many times over the years - this will be our last. even had discussions with two different owners who said they are putting their units up for sale due to the same concerns and that the current management is driving the property into the ground. so sad to see

Love Baytowne Wharf and this is a decent place to stay

“Decent” fits the description perfectly. The location is right there near the shops, restaurants, bars and activities of Baytowne Wharf. The property feels secure as you have access behind a gate with a code. It also has its own parking area in the “Public Parking” section of the garage. I will note we found this out on our own and wish check-in would’ve informed us of this. Only two concerns during the entire week’s stay of vacation: 1- The door to the unit was open when we arrived. Did a walk thru and nothing amiss but wasn’t happy about it. The door itself does need a solid pull to close completely. 2: There were no trash bags in the unit. Annoying to have to place trash in grocery bags but easily overcome. Overall the unit is great. Family room and kitchen on the main floor. 2 bedrooms and 2 baths (plus laundry) on 2nd flood. Master bud and bath on 3rd floor. If you don’t like stairs this property isn’t for you as it could be considered a climb for those who’d struggle up stairs. Furniture and beds are nice but short…queens throughout. AC worked great. No golf cart was disappointing but again, not a huge con. Price was high compared to other units. Would stay in the same area again for lower price.

Beautiful townhouse

The townhouse was gorgeous…professionally decorated with upscale furnishings and appliances. The location is ideal and walking distance to Baytowne. I have to say there are a lot of stairs, so important to keep in mind (would stay away from huge suitcases!) the property felt very safe with the gated entry. The multiple balconies were great! Enjoyed our time here.

Beautiful home in great location

We stayed for 2 weeks at this home and we could not have picked a better location. The house is spacious, and for those on workcations the internet speed was fantastic. Check in was easy and the text system they have is great and very responsive. Super well stocked kitchen, nice glassware and keurig, and hairdryers in the bathrooms. Everything was super clean except the tile floors on the first floor were filthy and had not been cleaned, with spills and sticky spots that were clearly noticeable. They also did not provide cleaning supplies. No hand soap, Dawn or Windex in the kitchen or anything to clean the bathrooms (dishwasher liquid and washing machines liquid was provided.) I suppose that’s because people stay for shorter times and get housekeeping? Just a heads up for longer stays. Location cannot be beat as you are a few steps away from Hotel Effie and all the Wharf restaurants. Would definitely come back!

Room for family and friends!

We’ve come to Sandestin for New Years for 15 years now. This has been our favorite place to stay. There is plenty of room for our family and friends to gather and hang out together. It’s just a comfortable place to be -and its pet friendly! Can’t wait to be back to ring in 2023!

Christmas in Paradise

Wife and I, as well as son and grandson checked in this lovely home on 12/23. Check in was quick and painless and instructions to the property was spot on. Home is lovely and well appointed. Looked to be newly painted and appliances were very nice. Weather was spectacular and we couldn't have asked for better. Renters should be aware there are 44 stairs to reach the Master Suite. At 71 that was a challenge but not insurmountable. Location is close to everything in the Village and there was lots to do for our Grandson. Restaurants nearby were excellent as well. Will go back in a heartbeat!

Loved the location

My husband and I loved this townhome. It was the perfect location—within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. I spent most of my time sitting on the patio—so peaceful. We actually just booked this same unit for another weekend in November. Definitely recommend!

70th Birthday Celebration for our Parents

We planned a party at the Hotel Effie to honor our parents turning 70 this year. We rented this spot and was literally around the corner from all kinds of fun. House is 3 levels, so not well suited for people who struggle with stairs- but it was fine for us!

Wonderful Condo

We really enjoyed our stay at Baytowne Warf. The condo was very comfortable and spacious, clean and with everything we needed for our home away from home for a week. Plenty of room for 3 couples and It was so convenient to everything and loved being about to walk out of our condo and have many food choices. Will definitely stay again.

Fabulous house and location!

I have nothing but great things to say about this house and location. Absolutely everything was in walking distance (great restaurants) except for the beach which was just across the street. Only problem was that the WiFi worked only one day and then didn’t work anymore. Needed access for work-related meeting but property provided a mifi free of charge so I’m thankful for that!

Memorial Day Weekend

Upon arriving our property was not ready at the check in time. We had to wait an extra hour before we were able to check in minor inconvenience but this is the first time we’ve experience this. The property was very nice! My friends and I were very pleased with the condition of the place and location. The only big issue I had with the property was that the stove, which was a Viking stove, did not work and we bought breakfast that had to go to waste. We called to have it checked out and the gentleman who came out was excellent however, we were told the next day it would be fixed and when we came back from the beach that day it had not been fixed or even looked at further. We were told the gas was turned off at the end of the building for our unit?? At this price point for a vacation property that is completely unacceptable! If we had not had this issue I would have happily given this property a 5 start review.
