This was a fabulous place to stay for a quick weekend getaway! The golf cart is a must, everything was incredibly easy, from checking in to finding our way around. The home is so lovely, so comfortable and clean with everything you need. And my favorite is the screened in patio for when the bugs sun or wind are just too much for you, you can still be sitting outside by the water. Fantastic weekend!

This was a very nice place to stay and the host was extremely accomodating with our circumstances. We had to book another nights stay last minute due to weather heading back home. It was a cozy, comfy place to have some relaxation after some long work days. Would definitely recommend staying here!!

While the property itself is older and could use some updating, the reason for the one-star rating is the troubling experience we had with the faulty golf cart and ensuing unprofessional service by the property management company and owner. We were charged for repairs that were not caused by negligence or poor driving on our part but were a direct result of the golf cart's faulty steering.We've been coming to Sandestin every summer for nearly 20 years and have never once had an issue ... until now.

Old, Dirty Place and Misleading Photos

I stayed with my family during Easter week which we had carefully chosen for the location and the access to a golf cart. Trusting the condition based on the photos, I paid nearly 450/night for one week's stay. Not worth it and felt like a scam!!! The photos are VERY OLD and do NOT reflect the current condition of this place. This place is old, rundown and dirty. There were mouse droppings in the kitchen drawers and in the bedrooms. The furniture, walls, bathroom and closets were dilapidated or rusting. There is also limited hot water so you would have to stagger taking showers with people in your group until the hot water is replenished. The golf cart is also so old that the seat belts would not unfasten and there was rust everywhere. Worst of all was that the brake was faulty so that I had to push very hard to stop or it would continue to glide.Overall a very bad experience. I would recommend you check into a hotel to avoid surprises AND the exorbitant fees on top of your nightly rate.

Used toilet plunger and brush next to the washer and dryer closet.
Cockroach traps everywhere.
Golf cart so old the seats don't even match the photos.

Vacation Time

Great property. All was great expect the golf cart condition. There had been a previous rain and the golf cart seats was soaked to the cushions. This was to the point where our pants, shorts, dress was soaked on her butts daily. Uncomfortable and very aggravating. The management company was notified and made aware. There response was thank you for the notification

Family Vacation

The cottage was perfect for our stay and the golf cart was a huge bonus! Hardly left the resort, everything you needed (food, drinks, entertainment, beach, pools, activities, etc.) were all on the resort and accessible by a fun golf cart ride. Beatiful resort & accomodations, 10 out of 10, would highly recommend!

Nice Sandestin Rental

Great two bedroom rental. Property looks like it has had a recent renovation. The kitchen is not huge, but it is nice and well stocked. We did notice that the dishwasher is not properly attached to the counter - works fine, but it tilts forward when drawers are pulled out. This is an easy fix. Both bathrooms work well. Guest bath has the nicer walk-in shower, but primary with tub worked well. Washer/dryer worked well. We are not fans of the bright white bulbs used everywhere for lighting - we feel it makes it feel institutional, but that’s personal preference I guess. There is a nice screened porch with good furniture. We did think the “fire pit” table in the middle took up too much space. It wasn’t operational - for good reason probably in an enclosed porch. Lighting is also bright, bright white - we didn’t use that at all. There were battery operated candles, but none worked. Golf cart was great - best one we’ve had. We did use the hose, but it was torn, so it should be replaced. Lastly, there is some burned in spot on the tv - not a dealbreaker, but it’s a bit annoying. A lot of little issues here, but it is a great property.

Great stay

The house was very clean when we arrived. It has all the amenities you and your family need. The screened in patio was a great place to hang out on with the weather being as nice as it was. I will be looking to stay at this house again on my next trip.

This is in need of some serious improvements. Mildew or black mold surrounding two cieling vents. Better beds and bedding. Screen porch door held together with bungee cord. Table on back porch in terrible shape. Just not anywhere close to what should be expected. Extremely disappointed.

Repairs to the property needed to be completed, the air conditioning vents had a lot of condensation which caused there to be hold around the vents. Patio fan was not usable due to it needing repairs, patio lounges had 1 cushion but it was moldy. The bedrooms needed ceiling fans, kitchen was stocked for cooking. Overall it’s nice but for price per night it should have been cleaner and noting broken. Also BIG NOTE the Hot water heater WILL NOT accommodate 3 woman who need to get ready for dinner!!!!!!

Convenient and quiet location

This cottage was warm and inviting and the location was convenient to the shops and restaurants which we could use the golf cart to get to. We had family and friends staying nearby because of a wedding we were all attending and the location was within minutes of the venue and hotel where the rehearsal dinner was. It was very quiet and we felt safe in the neighborhood we were in.

Best Thanksgiving Week

We had a fabulous time at this cottage in Miramar Beach! It was the perfect place for a week of relaxing after our daughter’s wedding. This cottage is in the perfect spot! It is spacious and equipped with anything you need. The screen porch with the firepit is wonderful, and we spent most mornings on the deck eating breakfast and feeding the fish! The golf cart is a great amenity! We had rented a car since we flew, but we only got in the car twice during the week. Next time, and yes there will be a next time, we will probably just use an Uber. The absolute only thing that we would suggest is that the owner purchases new pillows for the beds . They are quite flat. I would have brought my own if we had driven and would never have known, but since we used them I felt the owner would like to know. Again it was a wonderful stay and we are already planning our next visit!

Nice home

The property is located right off highway 98 in a very quiet neighborhood. The pool was close by. The golf cart provided can only be used on the property. We had family staying on 30 A Scenic drive,Miramar beach we were unable to drive to them with the golf cart so the golf cart was not useful for us and was one of the reasons we rented the cottage. We had never been to Destin so we were unaware of the layout. I feel that part should be clearer under the details. The mattress's are hard and pillows are not fluffy both need replaced.

Girls trip

We had a great time and the golf cart was perfect for going anywhere in the Sandestin resort! Definitely the way to do it and not worry about Ubers or renting a car. The place was very cozy and even had a fire table to enjoy coffee or cocktails around with friends. Beautiful view in the back. Great trip! Would recommend!

Wrapping it up to do it again

We needed a stay for one night, and I wanted to take the opportunity to check out a location for our next stay. This was perfect! We will definitely be back for an entire stay. The cottage was so cute and cozy, very clean (and I am super picky!), and such a great surrounding. The screened porch, back deck, and water view were very nice! The kitchen was well equipped and all the rooms were comfy. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
