Great area, some disappointments

The overall area of Baytown Wharf was great! Make sure if you stay here, you bring around $20 in quarters if you want to wash any clothes. They don’t tell u the machines take quarters and they do not have a change machine and do not provide you with a place to get any. We spent the last night in the unit with no air. Guest services couldn’t reach anyone or have anyone there at a decent hour so the last night was not enjoyable for sleeping. The bed itself was comfortable. Things I would recommend adding or changing. 1. A refrigerator that keeps things cool 2. Get new outdoor furniture, the table is in bad shape and rusted, can’t sit at it to eat or anything 3. Add a bigger storage space in the bathroom, the shelves over the toilet are not adequate and if anything falls off it’s going in the toilet. If someone is coming for 7 days, provide more towels and wash cloths.

We had an awesome stay!

My husband and I spent the weekend here for my Birthday. The room was clean, everything was exactly as pictured and described, and the location was absolutely perfect. I was worried about golf carts not being available to rent but we didn’t need one. You are within walking distance to the downtown area. The food and entertainment was also great.

Need to update listing

Dishwasher soap, no dishwasher. We left liquid dish soap. need a mop for deck when it rains or fill in low spot. I don't think you want anyone to start the laundry, washer and dryer are downstairs in public area. need to patch a hole in the wall above couch. The condo is very nice and in a great area, just needs a littlte TLC.

Not As Advertsed- More Like An Old Hotel

This property is set up more as a hotel. You enter the underground parking garage & take the elevator to your floor which opens to an interior hall as you’d find in a hotel. The room is pretty small & outdated. It needs to be repainted and there was a hole in the wall above the couch. The “dining area” is a table against the wall with only 2 chairs although it’s advertised as accommodating 4 people- I cannot imagine having 4 in that room. There is NOT a dishwasher as advertsed either. And, there’s no vanity in the restroom. There is a built in shelf above the toliet. The shelves are pretty narrow… no room to set a hairdryer, make-up bag, etc. We also were given a garage code that changed during our stay & no one told us. So, we had to park with construction vehicles in a parking lot & walk to the underground garage after dinner. A lady with housekeeping gave us the correct code the next morning. Not a great experience.

Terrible experience

We booked this room last minute. The description said “the property you are staying in balcony is under construction” I thought no big deal we can’t use the balcony. I’ve never been to the Grand, I didn’t realize the whole 3rd building floor is a giant wooden balcony of course we were on the 3rd floor. So the whole front of the building was torn up. Their were workmen right outside our door from 7am-6pm. So we couldn’t even open the curtain. Also the noise level is not great when you have a toddler who takes 2 hour naps a day. In addition to this day before we got there an A/C broke and dumped a few thousand of gallons of water from the 7tn floors down. Our hallway spelled like toilet water, the carpets where wet so there where giant blowers everywhere with plastic tubes to try and dry it out. No one bothered to tell us about this before hand. Then they started tearing the baseboards down the second day so it was full construction zone in our hallway as well. The room wasn’t great either. The ac sounded like an engine getting ready for take off every time it kicked back on. And the worst of it all: our toilet would not flush when got there and it would overflow . We called Vacasa who was friendly as always and said they would send someone out. No one came that day. We went to front desk to ask for help and a plunger and they said they could not help us bc we didn’t book through them, would not even give us a plunger said they couldn’t. We had to go down to the lobby to go to the bathroom that night and the next morning. I called vacasa again on Thursday morning and finally around 1 someone came from vacasa came plunged the toilet and gave us a plunger. Would not stay here again, it was not a good ending to our vacation.
