Great stay

The house was just as pictured fit great for our family. However the trickery with the wristbands that are obviously an attraction for children and the hidden notice if all 12 bands weren’t present at time of check out then we would be billed 50 a PIECE was not appreciated. Other than that the house, and location was as pictured. Destin is called the destination for a reason.

broken promises

property was good , no where in the discripion did they tell that if you a golf cart you better make sure you got to the beach before 10 if you wanted a spot to park.and i was promised by three different people that a remote for the kids bunk bed room would be sent over, a tv in a kids room that you couldnt turn on . that sad and to think on 3 differnt day 3 different people promised it was coming any minute

Cute and easy to get around

Cute house in gated community. Well kept however I felt the cleaning service could have done better wiping doors. There was foundation and mascara on bathroom door. Dryer does not dry well at all. But that could be overlooked because the rest of the rental was kept up well with really comfortable furniture.

Exactly like the photos - maybe better

Check in was super easy and it was a nice surprise to see a place that was as good or better than the photos. Lots of room and great amenities. The pool was not heated so we didn't use it (it was December). We did pay to use the golf cart and that was nice to just zip to the beach or around a little. We called maintenance once for a teeny tiny issue that wasn't urgent and they were on it so fast and so professional and followed up to make sure we were happy etc. I was so surprised. They also are great with texting so if you have any questions. you can just text and you will have an answer in like 5 minutes. All the beds were big and comfortable and the linens were good quality. The beach is super close (walkable) and there is a cafe at the end of the street (and a Dairy Queen \which was pleasing for the kiddos). The kitchen had all the utensils and small appliances. you would need (the only thing that might be helpful would be some form of tupperware type containers but thats only if you need to store something while you are there. You can tell the crew that maintains the building is on top of things. Greenest grass on the cul-de-sac. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Stay

Very nice property. Quiet neighborhood. Stayed here with adults and children. Loved the backyard for the kids. Easy access to public beach. Would recommend the private beach access- public can get crowded. Easy to shopping- restaurants. Only issue was dryer- poor drying and would not shut off. Golf cart was a plus except issue with lights at night. Let the property manager know about the issues I’m sure they will address them. I would recommend this property to all and will look forward to booking again.

Spring Break

House overall was good. We had trouble with the freezer leaking because the fridge doors weren't latching - they responded quickly when we called and were excellent to work with. We had to contact them for the golf cart key code and there was barely any gas in it (we left it full). There were some minor things broken which we pointed out when property mgr was there. Shower in the main floor bath leaks (looks like the seal doesn't go all the way along the glass door). There were some light bulbs out. Propane tank in the fire pit was empty. The rooms all had a fan/white noise which was a nice touch. Walk to the beach was not far, wish we'd known there were beach chairs (they were better than ours, we wouldn't have hauled ours from MI had we known). Liked having the small fridge in the garage, it was helpful. There may have been a smoker at some point, it was subtle however (no one else noticed). The teens loved playing the corn hole game and visited the pool often (wish it was open later than 8PM). It was nice to have food choices (& shopping) close and 2 restaurants right on the beach!

Perfect

The property was perfect for our extended family. Plenty of cookware, dishes, and entertainment opportunities both at the property and in the community. The only issue was the heating element in the dryer did not work so clothes did not dry in the dryer.

Penelope Palms - nice place

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. House was clean and in nice shape. It was about the right amount of space for 10 (4 adults, 5 teens, and one 5yr old)...located on a cul-de-sac that was pretty quiet. Hollywood Drive beach entrance is a 10-15 ish min walk...golf cart was great for hauling the gear and younger kid...we mainly hung out at the beach near the Hollywood Drive private entrance...closest parking for the cart after dropping everyone off is near Pompano Joe's, which is a 10 min walk via the beach. Parking in the public lot can be a bit of a cluster...people please know you can fit two golf carts in one parking spot! Washer and Dryer seemed to maybe need a tune up? Freezer leaked a bit (defrost drain is plugged?). RealJoy property managers were very quick to respond to any questions we had.

Great vacation!

We love the house and layout. We had a few glitches with the dryer but someone was sent out the same day to fix it. Overall we had a great stay! We definitely utilized the golf cart...the walk was a bit far with small children. Very clean!

Great house with a great location

This property was a great place to make memories with my family. The house was in great shape. We had a problem with the gas grill, we called and they brought out a brand new one the next morning! They were prompt on any questions or concerns. The beach was beautiful for all ages. The neighborhood was quite which made sitting in the back yard relaxing great. I will definitely use this property again.

Perfect for our group.

Great location in Miramar Beach. Perfect house for our group. 4 adults and 2 teenage boys. We were able to hang all together comfortably in the living room. Very nice fenced in back yard. Kitchen had most everything we needed. The toaster didn't work, but not a big deal. I would definitely recommend renting the golf cart. We only had to use our cars a few times during the week. We pretty much went everywhere on the golf cart. There is a lot of construction in the neighborhood, but we were never disturbed by any of it. We didn't hear anything even while sitting on the back patio. The pool was hard to find. There were several guests in the neighborhood with the ssme issue. A construction worker is who was finally able to direct us to it. Private beach entrance...3 blocks away, no restroom, no parking., rental company had all front row chairs. Public beach...short ride on the golf cart, parking, restrooms., you can set up wherever you want. Both upstairs king beds were very uncomfortable. The freezer was leaking the entire time. I contacted the property managers when we arrived but never received a response regarding the leak. We had to keep a towel on the floor the entire time. Someone entered the home while we were away and left extra bedding on the downstairs bed. Nobody contacted me before or after to tell me they were coming. We did not request extra bedding, so I have no idea why they came. Even with the few complaints, we had a fantas

2nd time staying, loved it as much as the 1st!

Our experience was great. We had one little hiccup but the owner accommodated us and made sure we were taken care of. Would definitely stay here again. This was actually our 2nd time visiting this home and I loved it just as much as the first time.

Nice Place

Nice place. Lots of space. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cooking utensils, coffee maker, etc. (even a pod coffee maker). We brought the other essentials (more toilet paper, soap, dishwashing soap, paper towels, etc.). Management was quick to respond when we needed them. Golf cart was a great add on, we used it everyday. Lots of beach chairs and some toys for the kids. Beach wagon was nice to have. Walking to and from the beach was not bad (some of our family chose to do it). Would rent this house again.

The house was literally perfect for us. Plenty of space and every bedroom had its own bathroom which was awesome! We enjoyed the backyard and all the beach toys that came with the house. Location was great! Check in and out process was easy. We would love to book in the future!!!
