Nice stay

Overall, the condo was nice. Check in was easy and a couple of small issues we found after check in were quickly resolved. A few things to make it a little nicer...there was still sand on the coffee table and kitchen counters when we got there, the upstairs carpet needs replaced, the dryer didn't work properly, windows were very dirty, the umbrella that was supplied was broken, as well as the gate handle to access the beach closet. Overall we had a nice stay.

Nice Rental

Enjoyed our stay at this property. Really nice golf cart to help get around on the resort. There is condensation in the screen on the golf cart which may need to be fixed. Parking can be an issue. Overall this property worked well for us and we would stay here again.

Beach Fun

This property is convenient and the golf cart was fantastic. We cooked in the unit which helped make the trip more affordable. The laundry facilities in the condo were great. The management company stayed in contact with us to make sure we had a great stay.

Family vacation 2022

We love staying at the beachwalk villas. It’s a beautiful gated community and we love the convenience of having a personal golf cart to take us to the beach and the little shopping center. There were some things I think need to be addressed for a better stay though. The carpet was very worn and dirty looking, the master bedroom fan had a loose blade and it shook bad so we couldn’t use it, the subfloors creeked really bad upstairs, and the beach supplies were half broken or corroded so we could not use them. Other than those things it was clean, everything else worked great and the golf cart was super nice, plus there were shuttle passes even though we never used them it was a nice added feature. We will continue to stay at beach walk villas in the future. Oh and something that would be really nice is a designated parking spot for each condo and golf cart that’s clearly marked. The two times we have stayed someone else has taken our only parking spot and that’s very annoying. Just a suggestion though.

Pre-College Trip with family

Villa was very nice. Location good. Cleanliness was very good. Door code does not open until exactly 4:00 p.m. for check-in, however cleaning crew was already there at 9:45 am, prior to the 10:00 am check-out. Golf Cart drivers side head light was not working, had a little bit of a run around trying to get this fixed. I had to place 3 calls to finally get this taken care of. Also we were told when we were driving the golf cart, someone stopped us to tell us the battery was about to fall thru, the bottom appears rusted out. We found this intersecting considering we got an e-mail saying a Full Golf Cart Inspection was done., prior to our arrival. The beach closet at the villa was exostocked, even a couple of coolers. That guests could use. The beach umbrella did not work, so we bought one to contribute to all the other supplies.

Great location!

Love the location and golf cart made everything so easy and fun to get to!! Beach gets crowded, but you figure out how to make the best of it. Having Baytown and golf courses sobclose and accessible is worth it and the Beach House is fantastic for food and great frozen drinks on the beach.

Lovely house, great location!

This sweet little house is situated in a great spot! Plenty of room for the family to unfold after a long day of fun, and lots of space to come together for meals, inside and out! We enjoyed the bedroom breakdowns, and the bathrooms were nice and spacious - LOTS of storage room! Awesome property!

Great location

Golf cart included with this rental is a big plus. This unit sits on a pond and my kids had fun catching bream. Pool is close by and never as crowded as the big hotel pools. Only negative is the crowded beach. If we got to the beach at 9am or before to get a spot it was fine. We would spend first half of day at beach then relax at the non crowded pool in the afternoon. Baytown Wharf is fun for everyone. Once you find your way around with the golf cart you will hardly have to drive anywhere. Food, fun, and entertainment is just a quick ride away via the golf cart.

Cleanliness

My stay was good. The unit was ok and accommodated my family with no problem. The bathroom was not cleaned properly. There was hair on the shower tile and the shower curtain liner should have been changed out because it had black stains/dirt on it. I also feel the floor of the bathroom could have been cleaned a little better. I did call management Saturday and was told someone would come clean it. I called back later after our outing and because it had not been cleaned and was told by management that it was supposed to have been cleaned. Sunday it wasn’t cleaned so my family ended up cleaning it. We checked out Monday.

Not very private and needs some TLC

The best thing about this place was the pool. It was bigger than most in the Sandestin neighborhoods. The couch was hard as a rock and very uncomfortable to sit on - also has a big sticky substance in the middle like it was ripped and they glued it back together. The only internet available is for the whole Beachwalk Villa neighborhood, so we had trouble with that. The golf cart was great except that it was rusty and my son was holding on to the handle as we were riding and the whole handle came off. The upstairs floor and stairway creaks like crazy. Feels like it could give in any second. The master bedroom is upstairs, so not waking up the kids in the morning was near impossible if you wanted to come downstairs and get a cup of coffee before they woke up. The master bedroom bed was extremely soft. The outside patio had a great view but you were literally right on top of someone else who might be sitting on their patio. Awkward. The master bath needs some TLC and a good coat of paint. Would not stay here again unless it was crazy cheap. We love the Sandestin area and have stayed on the other side of Hwy 98 many times. Thought we would try the other side for a change. This was not the place to stay. I understand it's a delicate balance....with so many renters its hard to keep things nice, but it seems as if they didn't start with quality. In addition, most of the places we have stayed in had a few things like salt & pepper, coffee filters, etc. This rental requires you empty out everything so we arrived and only had one trash bag, one bag of dishwasher soap, detergent for one load of laundry, one paper towel roll and very little toilet paper. We weren't expecting that the condo would come with everything we need obviously, but typically you'll find a few staples people leave behind. I had ordered groceries for pickup at the Walmart on 98. I had to add to my order 4 times before I picked it up so that we would have enough toilet paper, towels, etc for the whole week. It was a disappointing experience for the amount of money we paid to stay here.
