Pretty sparse surroundings and it's deep in the woods, so it's remote and private. "LMR was the perfect nature getaway for our family. The cabin was beautiful, clean, spacious, and well stocked with everything we needed. The community lake and playground was a short walk down the hill which was a great activity in the mornings. Gary was super communicative and flexible when we needed to rearrange plans. "I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville."

The hosts were helpful and communicative, offering early check in and late check out (although we couldn’t use them).
