Girl family getaway
The place is so beautiful and unique. The location was perfect for what we had planned. We spent a good amount of time at this location. The only complaints I have was the heat was not working. There were some minor things broken when we arrived. A drawer in the kitchen and one at the coffee bar buffet.

Spring break getaway
Mineral Point was a great place to visit with kids. Hiking, restaurants and exploring the quaint town was great. The cabin was very charming. The beds were very comfortable. The house was a little cool but warmed up with the heaters. The shower curtain was a little short which allowed water to get on the floor. The coffee pot was difficult to work, even when we watched You Tube videos. The kitchen and living room comfortably accommodated our family with children who are independent. Younger children, parents would need to watch their children carefully due to the stairs. Easy walking distance from downtown. Owners gave us information on the house once we contacted them the day of checking in. They were very nice and easy to get ahold of.

Great getaway!
We stayed with our four kids (ages 5-10) and my parents, who were visiting for the holidays! The cabin was so cozy and cute! The kids loved the bunk room and all the board games available! What a fun and unique place to stay. The town of Mineral Point was also so fun- so many local artists, cute shops, and greats restaurants- we ate at Cafe 43, Popolo's, Red Rooster, and the Commerce Street Hotel Brewery- all were great! We'll definitely stay again next time we visit town!

Cute Cabin in Mineral Point
Up to visit family and found this newer rental location in MP. Great location near High Street eateries, galleries and shops. House has been lovingly restored to reflect history of the area. Cool architecture with high ceilings and added windows make it bright and sunny. Gets chilly when temps drop but that’s noted in description. Warm socks and sweaters highly recommended for winter month visits.

Pretty, quiet place but ...
The house is in a secluded spot, but also close to downtown. The house has rustic charm, but also a modern vibe inside. The downside was that the owners/innkeepers haven't really geared it to work for guests nor paid attention to details, which detracted from our experience. The only instruction about how anything in the house works is a very brief text with 5 short bullet points. They did say to use 3 of the wall heaters to heat the whole house, but didn't include instructions on them and even after a phone call, the heaters didn't work. The innkeepers said the house changed temperature slowly in the brief note we received, and said to just wear slippers and a robe in the house. (Slow heating is a sign of undersized climate control for the house.) The coffee maker is complicated and there were no instructions for it, and it turned itself off every minute. And there were a number of minor fixable things that showed a lack of attention - a door knob off in the kitchen, a credenza drawer front that was unattached and fell off on our feet when we used the drawer above it, and just an open bag of stuck together sugar on the top of the coffee credenza. The rental fee was low for a house, but we would have paid more and liked it if everything worked and the innkeepers paid even a little more attention to keeping things up.

Nice property with room for a family. Cute community with welcoming store owners and many made in the community products. Close enough to Madison to enjoy Henry Vilas Zoo with children.

Fabulous Home in Mineral Point, WI
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the home in Mineral Point, WI this past week. The owners have spent a lot of time refurbishing the home to it's original Cornish design, and it worked quite well. I encourage anyone wanting to visit this beautiful historic town to stay at this home!
