The home was very nice. Several of the amenities were difficult to use. We couldn’t get the hot tub to heat, the television controllers worked sporadically and we had animals that we could hear in the ceiling at night time. Other than those the stay was very nice and we enjoyed it.

House was very clean upon arrival. Furnishing is more on the modern side so beds, sofa etc were all very low. Kitchen could use flatware update and more glassware, serving dishes and better cookware. They drive up the mountain was a little challenging…but the views made it worth it. Need window coverings on the back walls as the sunsets on that side and made the hours 4-7 uncomfortable. But also made for beautiful sunset views! We were unable to use the 5th bed and bath as well as the rec room. Smelled strongly of paint/varnish.?. Some kind of chemical smell that made them unusable. Lower level baths are oddly large but dark and not well appointed for a house of this price point but everything worked. Overall we had a great weekend and any concern we had were addressed quickly.

It needs lot of work all around , bathrooms most of them have no towel rack ....a couple of them to holder for your toilet paper ..The mattresses are extremely soft and very uncomfortable especially for elder people or anyone with minor lower back issue .The smell in the bedroom on top of the garage us very heavy and musky......I'm very sorry but I can't recomend this rental to anyone

Another wonderful stay at Greystone Lodge!

We just finished our second week long stay at this beautiful property and again we were so pleased with everything. We look for homes with breathtaking views at elevation yet with all paved access because we trailer our motorcycles to ride the amazing roads in the area. This property has 4 private en-suite bedrooms plus a separate almost apartment living area over the 2-car garage which is perfect for anyone who desires private bedroom/bathroom space during their vacations. The views from within the home as well as on the large deck are simply amazing. Beautiful sunsets and wonderful Smoky Mountain mornings are seen every day. For those who want to experience Blue Ridge it’s just a short drive away with many restaurants and shops but great local flavor is nearby in McCaysville/Copperhill too. If hitting a casino is your thing Harrah’s Casino in Murphy is 30 min away. Wonderful property and highly recommended!

Luxury in the mountains

Overall had a great time. The house was gorgeous and the views were spectacular. They spared no expense on building and all appliances and furnishings were high end. Grilled in the evenings and took advantage of the hot tub and outdoor fireplace. Very private. Had a few small issues that were addressed immediately. Would love to stay again.

Directions

Please make sure you follow the directions from the google link. You will lose cellular service within the last 5 minutes trying to find the cabin. Also the 5th bedroom is location outside of the home above the garage! Other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice place

Very nice house and very spacious. Everything was clean and the owner was very prompt in answering questions. Only thing is that it is listed as a 5 bedroom but the fifth bedroom is located outside of the main house over top of the garage. Not suitable if everyone wants to stay together.

Bachelorette Trip

This place was beautiful, but it was hard to get too. It will take you to this address that is not the house. It is very curvy and a bit scary to get too as well. The place wasn’t the cleanest. There were dead ladybugs everywhere, under the dressers had a toothbrush and toothpick with a bunch of dust, the couches had stuff all over them which made us feel gross. We had a difficult time with the hot tub at first and it was not hot when we all got there which sucked, because I was so looking forward to getting into it when I got there. They also don’t give you any shower mats and most of the showers you had to put your soap and stuff on the ground. They didn’t have anywhere to store your shower essentials when you took a shower. Also, one bedroom did not have a curtain in the bathroom window and you could see everything from the outside when you took a shower. We had to go buy a plastic table cloth and tape it to the window. The driveway was also very bumpy and there was a very hard drop that messed up some of our cars. The driveway really should be paved or all the potholes should be filled in. It also says there are 5 king beds and we had the hardest time finding the 5th king bed. It was outside by itself above the garage. Overall, the view and sunsets were amazing!

Good stay

The house was great for our friends but the DirectTV did not work the entire time we stayed. There also was a ladybug infestation in the rooms. The location was amazing and the rooms and showers we the best part.

Beautiful views for family vacation

The property was beautiful and spacious. There was enough room for 7 adults and 4 kids. We had everything we needed to make meals and the views were amazing. My only areas for improvement are the cleanliness of the property. No one moved the table in the living room and vacuumed under it. The kitchen counters weren’t wiped off and there was a lot of spider webs and dead lady bugs.Also, the extra bedroom is above the garage. If you stay here make sure you explore. It wasn’t very clear where the other room was in the property description.

Lower Your Expectations

My wife and I have stayed in many places in Blue Ridge area 25 years - every place has a gorgeous view. This place was playing outside its price point. Master Bathroom was the unusable due to a clogged toilet and electric blinds that did not work. The shower is in plain view of the road - blinds made a huge difference. We had to clean the kitchen and bedrooms. No towel bars in either downstairs bathrooms. One bedroom is actually a garage loft with stairs located outside. Went two days with no propane for the grill. Stayed in many places at this price point and this one does not measure up. Feel bad for owners!

Family New Years

House was very nice and furnishings were Restoration Hardware quality. Kitchen was more well equipped than previous reviews had stated. We had everything we needed. House had several oddities…light switches behind doors in closet, ceiling fan with no way to turn on, broken darts and pool sticks in game room (which was a garage with no heat) Overall such a. Beautiful house with nice furniture. And gorgeous views.

Spectacular view

Our family gathering of 11 had a great experience at the Greystone Lodge. The location is high up a winding road. It is quite a drive from Blue Ridge but the spectacular view is worth it. The lodge itself does not disappoint with beautiful interior, high end natural materials, nice furniture and an all Viking kitchen. The deficiencies noted by earlier reviewers have been mostly corrected: plenty of kitchen implements and hot pads. The HVAC unit in the fifth bedroom above the garage worked well. There is a dual function coffee maker, both drip and Keurig. Minor problems we had were promptly addressed after we messaged the host. Our kids greatly enjoyed the pool table in the garage which converts to ping pong. Do note that the dining table seats only 8, and there is no bar or breakfast area seating. We made do with folding chairs. All in all we recommend this property.

Great Property

We all loved this house! The huge kitchen with the Viking appliances was amazing. My sister and each of my sons with their families had their own room and huge showers each. The hot tub felt great, and the huge upper deck with the fireplace was a great place to watch football and make S’mores. There were a lot of dead lady bugs outside, but it’s that time of year, so that was no surprise, swept them away and we were good. I definitely recommend this property.

Quiet hideaway

The house was beautiful. There are 5 bedrooms as listed but one is in the detached garage so heat, air and lighting aren't great. It wasn't a problem for us just a tad inconvient. While it didnt bother me, the fellas in our group went crazy without the Direct TV. Theowner did send so.eone out to lookat it but they were unable to get it going. It just made us talk to each other more. Overall, a great house if you are looking for a quiet relaxing vacation.

Amazing cabin

We all enjoyed staying at this new cabin. Good location for rafting at ocoee river. One downside is that there were stains on beddings and towels. Otherwise, it was 5-star cabin.

Great place for family gatherings

Great place for family gatherings. All worked out good, but the description of the property was confusing, while the property had 5 bedrooms, one of the bedroom is detached from the cabin - on top of the garage. We could not use that facility and adjust with 4 bedrooms.
