Access to and from the property from the A roads was interesting to say the least. Single lane “roads” for the 2 miles either side of the property require a fair degree of both caution and concentration. Some parts will barely allow a car to pass. That said, it is worth the trip. Just do it slowly!"

"Staff uniforms were filthy and the floors were covered in food. Owner didn't greet with a smile nor was very friendly. There were broken ornaments on display. Shower door was broken and didn't close properly and the shower itself was a dribble of water. Im glad it was onky for one night!"

The waiter was covering the kitchen and bar. He walked past me twice, while I stood at the bar, but I still had to open the door to the kitchen, and call, I had to ask for ice and lemon, but didn't get the lemon, it didn't seem available. "Warm welcome and friendly staff, however quite a modest property even for a BnB and at this price point. Small room with very small shower. Fine breakfast but only instant freeze dried coffee, and few options if you don't want a fry up. Immediate area full of litter on streets (like most of Barry). I know this isn't their fault but it's a location point. Overall a fine place to stay but I'm surprised current reviews are quite so high -- afterall, a warm and friendly welcome should be expected...

"I had a wonderful one night stay at the Coach Inn while passing through. The facilities at the inn are great and I would thoroughly recommend it. One comment for consideration the bedroom window was screwed shut in my room no 9, the room gets full sun making it hot with no air so it would be a major benefit to be able to open it for some fresh air, my suggestion would be to fit some stops instead of it being screwed shut so it could open say 8" or so. "Lovely location and a real charachter property. The whole place was nice and clean and had all the facilities you could need. Great selection available for the continental breakfast and all presented nicely. Great comeunication from the host prior to arrival and the whole experience was very welcoming."
