"Located in a lovely setting but starting to look a bit tired throughout. We booked an upgraded room so two nights cost £355.00 Bed and breakfast which I don’t feel was good value. We have stayed in a much nicer hotel with that amount of budget. The room was OK but things like a shower over the bath with a rather tired curtain were not what we had expected. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately I felt the experience didn’t live up to our expectations...

"Excellent personal service. I felt very comfortable sitting in the bar having a meal and a drink as a single woman. Food was excellent - freshly cooked and hot. Breakfast was fab. "

"The place was clean, staff Friendly & food lovely. But the building looking tired & is in need of maintenance. The main problem was the noise. We were in the captain's suite. Which seems to have the owners family accommodation next to & above the room. I was hoping for a quiet few days away but instead had to listen to there dog whining at a joining door to our room & loads of banging around upstairs. You can also hear the people in the next room clearly. We were also very disappointed to be let...

"Cosy cottage, lovely garden. Loved North Hill and Exmoor ponies, Dunster castle, Periwinkle Tearoom at Selworthy. Enjoyed day trip to Clovelly and Saunton sands"

"Had a lovely stay in this cosy cottage. Everything we needed was provided. Very pretty area. Pub and small shop in walking distance but not maybe with young kids. Great for a couple of nights away and base for exploring Exmoor."
