The cottage is like a delightful chocolate box, it has all the love of a cottage whilst being modern

The cottage is like a delightful chocolate box, it has all the love of a cottage whilst being modern, clean and being fully equipped with everything you would need whilst staying away from home. Martin and Margaret are very friendly, approachable and helpful with local knowledge. The location is idyllic we would definitely recommend a stay at Magnolia Cottage.

A lovely cosy cottage, in a quiet location but not isolated, with easy on road parking and a short walk from the centre of Porlock. The cottage is particularly well equipped and nicely furnished with comfortable beds. We made interesting visits to Dunster and Dunster Castle, Lynton and Lynmouth and Dulverton as well as enjoying lovely walks on Exmoor - helpful walking maps in the cottage. Really enjoyed our stay.

A great cottage, with relatively spacious kitchen and bathroom, in a stunning location. There are nice walks directly from the cottage, both along the track and up the hill. The centre of Porlock is a 10 min walk and has a good range of shops, cafes and pubs, and easy access to the coast road.

Beautiful location and felt very at home in the very well equipped, charming cottage. A quiet part of Porlock but an easy walk to village amenities. Close to Porlock Weir and lots of pretty villages and walks. The owners were very helpful and friendly and left a welcome pack which was a lovely touch.

Beautifully simple and comfortable accommodation. Very well equipped in the kitchen with everything you could need . Easy to work appliances which makes a nice change in self catering cottages! Lots of wardrobe and drawer space in bedrooms and especially space for toiletries in bathroom. Never been anywhere so clean, it was amazing.

A beautiful little cottage up the hill by a babbling stream in a lovely quiet part of Porlock. The cottage was cosy, comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. It's well-located for popping into the village whether for the shops or one of the lovely pubs and you can easily do walks here whether down to the coast path or up on to the moors. We would definitely recommend it for exploring this part of Exmoor and we can't wait to go back.

Magnolia Cottage is a beautifully maintained, immaculate house, situated on a quiet lane just outside the centre of Porlock. The owners were very welcoming, and provided useful information about the area. The cottage is full of character, yet equipped with all modern conveniences. Porlock is in a superb location for exploring this part of Somerset, with easy access to Exmoor and the coast. We would highly recommend a stay here!

My sister and I had a wonderful time at Magnolia Cottage. It was a great base for our return to so many much loved places in Exmoor. It is such a well cared for cottage, very comfortable and the best stocked kitchen I have ever stayed in. Every pan, china, glass, utensil we needed was provided. What a lovely spot and so peaceful. It was great to be able to walk into Porlock that offers plenty of shops and cafes. We had a great evening at the Ship Inn. We felt very lucky to have found such a lovely place
