Wonderful cottage just steps away from the beach! We enjoyed all the amenities and the owner's fantastic communication. The house is also located a short drive from amenities in Milton such as the Dogfish Head Brewery and icecream.

Perfect getaway!

I wanted to surprise my wife and kids with a last minute getaway before school started and this was just what we needed! Couldn't ask for a better location. It was very peaceful and quiet and the beach was just steps away from the house. We loved waking up and going for a walk on the beach and then eating breakfast in the sun room while enjoying the beach views. It was so relaxing and just what we needed! The kids didn't want to leave. And the communication with Monica was great! Very quick and responsive.

Amazing beach house!

We had an amazing time and the house was perfect for our needs. Broadkill Beach is so peaceful and lots of fun for little kids since the waves are small. We will definitely be visiting again!

Peaceful retreat

Great for small to medium sized family. Fairly well equipped kitchen (could use a baking sheet or two and a ladle). No crowded beach! Several beach chairs, umbrellas, toys available. Nice table in sunroom for family meals, although needs treatment for ants. All in all a very relaxing time.

Wonderful stay

This was our second time staying at Monica’s place. We had a great time once again. The house is clean and comfortable for our family of 4. It’s a great location with the quiet privacy of Broadkill Beach while only a short drive from plenty of restaurants and stores. I’m sure we’ll be back again!

Beautiful clean home in peaceful location

We enjoyed the beautiful clean home and the quiet private beach. The owner was also very helpful and communicative. When our children wanted to go out for entertainment, we learned that most things are a 30 minute drive, but it was good for them to unplug and to enjoy a slower quieter pace most of the week. The water was warm and we enjoyed ghostcrabbibg and crab fishing at a nearby spot and visiting the Broadkill store (best donuts ever but weekends only!) Be sure to bring bug spray to the beach and then you’ll love this place!

Peaceful, Relaxing, Beautiful Gem

This was a perfect place for a peaceful getaway. The house was very clean, and just the right size for my family and I. It is beautifully decorated as well. The beach was beautiful, and the sunrises were amazing. Sitting and having coffee in the morning on the sunporch and looking out over the water was absolutely incredible. This was one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. All of the beds were very comfortable as well. Monica was a perfect host, and communicating with her was very easy. We will definitely be returning here!

EASY beach access - two living spaces on two floors - perfect!

We've stayed here 2 times before with my in-laws and it's perfect because there are two living areas on separate floors (bedroom, bathroom and TV space). Importantly, this home has very easy access to the beach, not something that is true throughout Broadkill, sadly, due to erosion. This has a nice boardwalk right next to the house, and then sand -- all pretty level out to the beach. No huge drop-off, so the beach is VERY easy to access for young and elderly alike. The home is cozy but not fussy. The hosts react to suggestions we've made in the past. We love Beach Plum!

Cute cottage in a great location

Our family had a very nice time at the cottage. The location was perfect with easy access to the beach. The only issue we had was a very strong musty smell. We had to open the windows during the day to make it tolerable.

Another great stay!

We love this little gem. It’s always clean and seems to have little upgrades every year we return. The location is great bc it’s off the beaten path and super private. As always, Monica is very communicative and super quick and easy to get ahold of. We will be coming back next year for our 4th year in a row!

Perfect spot on perfect beach

Beach Plum was exactly as advertised: a little slice of heaven on quiet and picturesque Broadkill Beach. Three of us - two adults and a teenager- spent Memorial Day weekend at the house and it could not have been better. Very comfortable and plenty roomy, the house has a wonderful view of the water and is right on the beach. The home is more than well appointed for a getaway. Monica was great and made the whole process very easy. Looking to make a visit to Beach Plum an annual retreat!

50th anniversary trip

This was the perfect location for us. We enjoyed the water views and watching the distant ships make their way across the bay. The house was a cosy and comfortable basecamp for birding trips to Bombay Hook and Prime Hook wildlife refuges. It felt quite private yet not isolated.
