Conveniently located less than a minute from the Blue Ridge Parkway you're a quick drive to many hiking trails including the infamous Jumpinoff Rock Overlook and Cascade Falls. With just a 15-minute drive to West Jefferson, a 30-minute drive to Boone or a 25-minute drive to Wilkesboro, you can enjoy shops, restaurants, breweries and festivals. From tubing /kayaking on the New River to enjoying the fall foliage to cutting down the family Christmas tree to skiing, there is something to do year-round.

Wonderful place to stay. A great location for easy travel to North Wilksboro or West Jefferson. The property has a lot of history associated with it and wonderful views from the back deck.

I really appreciated our host from the time of booking, Jack is very quick to respond and generous with our time here. The cabin is so unique on the outside and offers an amazing back deck area with incredible views. The place is probably the most well stocked vacation rental I have stayed in. We found it to be very cozy with the wood paneled walls, the themed rooms and the layout. The place is very clean and conveniently located in proximity to the Blue Ridge Pkwy, West Jefferson, Wilkesboro and Boone. We recommend this place highly and hope we are able to return often.

We had an amazing stay! The house was spotless, cozy, and offered stunning mountain views. The host was incredibly nice and accommodating, even allowing us a later check-out time which made our departure so much less stressful. Highly recommend staying here!

We had stayed here before but this time we had friends that we travel with. The place is the same clean, neat and of coarse a great view. We had great weather for sitting on the deck solving the world‘s problems, and eating. There’s hiking nearby on Parkway or West Jefferson is about fifteen minutes away but we chose to sit on the deck relax and gain weight eating.. just book a stay you will be glad you did..

Stunning views! We have driven past this little “bar” many times on our way to West Jefferson never realizing it was actually the most adorable cabin with the most gorgeous sunset views of any place we have ever rented in this area! We LOVE coming to WJ and this little cabin will definitely be our first “go-to” rental when looking for a place to stay. Jack was so great to work with, easy to communicate with when we needed him - very responsive, cabin is clean, beds were comfortable and the water was HOT! That one is important to me!! Trust me when I say, grab dinner or pick up something to cook at Ingles and enjoy a meal (or 2) on the back deck as the sun sets - you will not be disappointed.

Our family loved our stay at Lookout Lodge! Very cute and the amenities were great. I had a question for the host and he responded very quickly. I highly recommend staying at Lookout Lodge!

The property is in pristine condition, exactly as described and photographed. We experienced immense tranquility, with breathtaking views and a star-studded sky. Additionally, it offers easy access to various attractions.

Perfect Jumping Off Point to Boone & Beyond!

Lookout Lodge was a perfect hub spot for all of our Boone area adventures! The property was very clean and well appointed - and THE VIEWS!!!Jack is a super attentive host and was very responsive to all requests. We'd love to come back!

Cabin was very cozy!! Beautifully decorated!! Great view off of back deck. Had all essentials needed for stay. Only drawback was being right off a busy roadway. A little noisy at night.

Gray Birthday Weekend

Look at Lodge is a wonderful mountain cabin it’s got anything you would need the kitchen as well appointed it’s a very cozy space with wonderful mountain views
