What a magnificent villa. It has everything you could possibly need. The fridge with ice maker and filtered water saved us having to carry water from the supermarket. The beds were very comfortable. The Aircon was invaluable as it was so hot during our stay in August. The terrace is beautiful and has sun from morning until sunset. The pool was large and although it was communal we quite often had it to ourselves. We had many lovely evenings having a bbq on the terrace. The villa is a short walk to many shops, bars and restaurants and is well located for visiting Marbella, Estepona and Málaga. Phill and Martine could not have been more helpful before, during and after our stay. We had a minor issue with the kettle and it was replaced immediately. It was also nice to meet Angela and John. We would definitely book this villa again if we return to Calahonda.

Wonderful villa

The property was upscale and had every modern convenience , including English channels . We spent many sunny hours on the patio enjoying the view, the lounge seating and eating areas felt like a 5 star resort. . The restaurants were just a few minutes walk which we highly recommend. The beach was a delightful 20 minute walk which we enjoyed many times … eating at several beach restaurants. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. We ate breakfast at the villa as it was stocked with everything we needed with upscale appliances … and a close grocery store. We did not have a car and did not need one. We highly recommend this villa for a long stay.. we enjoyed every minute. It was a 10 star experience. The hosts were very responsive and helpful with any questions. Excellent care to make our stay a perfect, outstanding lifetime memory.

A wonderful family villa

We’ve just come back from a wonderful two weeks at the villa. The villa was perfect for us with 2 teenage boys, aged 13!and 15. The villa is spacious (inside and out), extremely comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed and more. The beds are super comfy, it was like being at home and the air conditioning was amazing especially in the August temperatures. The fridge with filtered water and ice was ideal and saved us a lot on mineral water! We made good use of the beach towels, cool box, ice packs, beach umbrellas, beach games / lilos too. The outside terrace is lovely and spacious, and ideal for alfresco dining and relaxing in the evenings. The pool is excellent - a good size and plenty of loungers and shade. Although shared it was very quiet even in August and we often had it to ourselves. The villa is well located and a 10 minute walk to some lovely restaurants, bars and a couple of small grocery shops. We did use the car a little more than we intended, but mainly because it was too hot to walk to the beach and it was great to explore the area. There are some lovely beaches within a short drive 5-10 minute away, and there are also a number of excellent golf courses nearby. The famous resorts are close by and we also visited the waterpark in Torremolinos which was a fantastic family day out. A big thank you to Phil and Martine who are superb hosts and were so helpful right from the outset, and to Angela and John who were always on hand during our stay.

Parfait une piscine grande et propre

Summer holiday family of four

A beautiful villa, equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. We loved the terrace with is dining area, sunbeds and lounge, and beautiful plants. The pool area is very nice and quiet, and though it is shared with a few other houses we often had it to ourselves. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking, and the fridge with cold filtered water and ice was perfect. The grill was clean and worked perfectly. Martine & Phill were helpful and replied to our inquiries immediately. During our stay we experienced no difficulties and did not need any help from Angela or John.

Tolles großes Haus

Viel Platz, um sich auch mit 3 großen Kindern bestens aufzuhalten. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet, Wohn- und Ess-Bereich mit Küche hell und großzügig gestaltet, es gibt eine wunderbare Sonnen-Terrasse mit Top-Liegen und weiteren angenehmen Outdoor-Möbeln. Für ein Bad in dem großen Pool war es im März noch nicht warm genug, aber der Pool-Bereich, der über eine Garten-Tür am unteren Rand der Terrasse direkt zu erreichen ist, sah schon sehr verlockend aus! Etwa 20 Minuten Fußweg zum Strand, wo sich ein Holz-Dielen-Weg mit Geländer für entspanntes Spazieren zwischen netten Strand-Bars befindet. Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Comfortable property with a pretty terrace.

The property is in a convenient location, walking distance to shops, restaurants & beach…downhill going uphill coming back! For golfers there is a nine hole golf course just up the road with a lovely club house with great sea views and a good restaurant. There are courses nearby;La Cala & Cabopino were both excellent The house is well equipped with comfortable beds and a pleasant lounge area. There is a great fridge in the kitchen with the bonus of an ice maker. Outside there is a pretty terrace which is south facing where you can enjoy the sunshine even in February. Our thanks to Angela & her husband who were so helpful and on hand if we needed anything. Superb hosts Phil & Martime whose communication was second to none.

Beautiful home

We loved our stay. Perfect for 2 couples and felt like we had a private pool almost everyday. Everything was explained before and checkin was perfect. It is obviously a much loved home and had everything we needed including great air con, comfy beds and filtered water, perfect for the very hot days. Angela was super helpful when we had a problem with the alarm. It was a little further away from bars and restaurants than we thought however, the walk was easy and taxis and buses really easy to get to. It’s near to many of the famous resorts. We loved Mijas and a fab restaurant called el oceana, both recommended by the owner It really had the wow factor and would return. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home

Perfect stay

Phill and Martine were very helpful from the moment we booked to leaving the villa,Angela was also helpful when we needed to contact her. The villa had everything that you need and even small things in the kitchen were available which saved us money from buying There are also cool boxes for the beach and umbrellas which are a godsend in August The pool is excellent and although shared this was often empty or not busy. Great place for your holiday

We (2 adults, and 3 young people at 17, 21 and 23 years) just got back after 9 great days at Martine and Phil’s lovely and very well equipped holiday home - all you need for relaxing, the pool and cooking is there. Very nice pool area which we almost had to your selves. Nice area, close to grocery shopping, restaurants, fitness, golf and outdoor paddle tennis - too hot for that though. A 25 min walk to the beach - nice for a morning walk. Very central for lots of nice places to visit. We did a guided tour at the Caminito del Rey - fantastic! Remember to book tickets in advance and arrive so you have time for the shuttle bus from the parking area + the 1.5 km walk to where the tour starts. We highly recommend this place to stay and the hosts are very concerned and great communication.

Home from home!

We loved our stay at Phill & Martine's beautiful stunning homely villa! We cannot fault anything at all! It was our 1st holiday abroad since Covid struck & having stayed in the same area exactly 3 years ago we wanted a familiar holiday, the place we stayed last time wasn't coming up so we opted to stay here, & my goodness we were so happy we stumbled across this villa! & we will definitely be coming back! The villa is just perfect, very comfortable, peaceful & extremely private. We came at Christmas & New Year time for 12 nights, we were so lucky with the weather which was a bonus. The villa is fully equipped with everything you need at home, including a good washing machine & the fridge was amazing with filtered water & ice on tap & there is a beautiful lemon tree (which we "borrowed" a fresh lemon for our homemade sangria 😉) the bed is so comfortable, the TV has good channels & the sofas are very comfortable, the shower very powerful. It is about a 10 mins walk from a good bar & a string of restaurants, 5 mins drive to the supermarkets & close to nice tourist & local spots in the car but I believe the bus is good too. The "boardwalk" is about a 20 minutes walk to where if you like walking is stunning along the coast with good bars & restaurants along the way, bit of a hill back up "home" but plenty of places to have a rest on the way back up! (I'm just recovering from a back injury & learning to walk again properly & it was fine for me plus there's a good friendly pub at the top of the hill to look forward to! Haha) We would recommend here for a good night out, pool tables, sport on TV & very friendly (we spent our New Years Eve night, we felt like locals!) plus the Italian restaurant called Pepperoni was so good! Finally we would like to say a big thank you to Martine & Phill, they were excellent hosts from the start of our booking to the end when we got home, they helped with everything that we asked of them & we highly recommend this property & we will definitely be back when we visit the area again 😊

Exceptional Villa, in a fantastic location

Quite simply the best Villa we have stayed in. Phil and Martine have thought of everything to make sure you have a great holiday with all the comforts of home in a luxuriously appointed villa. They went out of their way to make sure we knew everything we needed to have a lovely time. Wonderful garden and terrace with a superb, large, seldom used, swimming pool through a gate at the bottom of the garden. Very safe and secure. Location is excellent, lovely and quiet, yet a 5 minute stroll from bars and restaurants and just a 5 minute drive to the commercial centres with excellent supermarkets. Lots to do close by and only 15-20 minutes drive from Marbella and the delights of the old town. We loved it and cant' wait to go back.

Lugnt och trevligt område

Trevligt område med fin strand. Härlig lång strandpromenad som passar liten som stor. Bra poolområde, mysig och lummig uteplats, välutrustat hem med bra standard. Calahonda är en väldigt lugn stad utan riktigt centrum med få restauranger. Calahonda ger bra motion för att det är väldigt kuperat. Vi rekommenderar detta och återkommer med stor säkerhet nästa år.

Beautiful villa

We would like to thank Phill and Martine for allowing us to share their beautiful villa. There was loads of space for our party of 6. My children loved going to the pool everyday and it is a lot bigger than we imagined. The location is very quiet and relaxing. Restaurants and mini market are only 9 mins walk from the villa.It has been the most relaxing hoildays we have had. If we decide to holiday in Calahonda in the future we won't hesitate to get in touch. Thanks again Julie & gang.

Luxury Villa

We have just returned from our 2 week holiday spent at this beautiful villa, we cannot praise it enough. We are a family of 4 including 2 teenagers and the villa was superb, a home from home with lots of luxuries. Excellent WiFi, aircon, Sat TV, sound bar for playing your music, very comfy beds, coffee machine, wonderful outdoor seating area and fantastic pool which we virtually had to ourselves. Phill and Martine were a pleasure to deal with from the moment we booked until we returned from our holiday. There are great restaurants within a 10 minute walk, Tapavinos and Da Vinci our favourite (would recommend booking Tapavinos). Within a 20 minute drive you can visit Marbella, P.Banus and Mijas village is a must. We would thoroughly recommend this villa and hope to return in the not too distant future.

Lovely villa in a beautiful setting

Lovely property that is so well looked after both inside and outside. All bedrooms were really comfortable with air conditioning, and it is very well equipped for eating both inside and out. We explored the area around Calahonda Malaga and Marbella and it was always a joy to come back to the villa and it's fabulous communal pool. Club de Sol is just around the corner so we enjoyed games of tennis and there are 2 excellent tapas bars within walking distance that we would highly recommend.

Amazing Villa

We had an amazing holiday in this beautiful villa. the villa is equipped with everything you require for your stay, although the pool is shared with other properties there was never anyone in it so it was like having your own personal pool. Calla Honda is very hilly so would not be good for people with walking difficulties, Oue age range was 21-55 we did not hire a car and managed OK. The beach over the blue bridge is nice however If you walk towards the marina the beach there called Cabopino beach is really lovely. there are also lots of lovely restaurants within walking distance. Phil and Martine are great and we would definatly hire the villa again

Perfektes Haus!

Über Ostern 2018 waren wir für 7 Tage als Familie mit 2 Kindern Gäste in diesem Haus. Es liegt wunderbar ruhig und trotzdem noch fußläufig zu einigen Restaurants und einem Minimarkt. Die riesige Terrasse bietet viele Möglichkeiten, je nach Sonnenstand entweder ein schattiges oder ein sonniges Plätzchen zu wählen und der Blick in den begrünten Gemeinschaftsbereich mit einer sensationellen Palme ist wunderbar. Alles im und um das Haus herum ist sehr gepflegt und eine soche Ausstattung hatten wir in 25 Jahren Urlaub in Ferienhäusern noch nie. Die Betten sind allererste Qualität. Für ängstliche Naturen sei noch gesagt, dass die gesamte Urbanisation und auch dieses Haus von einem Sicherheitsdienst überwacht wird, der permanent auf den Straßen präsent ist. Bei technischen Problemen erfolgt eine Reaktion durch die Vermieter innerhalb weniger Minuten und Hilfe vor Ort ist sehr schnell da. Fazit: Dieses Objekt kann wirklich jeder guten Gewissens buchen und hinsichtlich der Unterbringung steht einem schönene Urlaub nichts im Wege. Vielen Dank an Phill und Martine! Familie K.

Truly Amazing Villa & Hosts !

We recently stayed at the villa for 12 days. It was simply perfect. The villa is in a great location in a quiet residential area with only a short walk to shops, many great restaurants (try Brogart's and the Jammy Olive,our favorites) and two grocery stores. We knew from the moment we arrived we had chosen something very special. The villa is very well appointed and there was nothing we needed that was not provided. The décor is modern yet comfortable, very welcoming with a hint of luxurious. The pride that Martine & Phill take in the entire property is very apparent. Travelling with 5 people the split level layout of the villa was also perfect, the living area is at the front which allowed early risers to enjoy beautiful sunny mornings on the very spacious and stunning patio overlooking the well maintained gardens and pool without disturbing those that like to sleep late. The kitchen had all amenities and we enjoyed cooking many meals in the comfort of the villa, which was relaxing after long days sightseeing. Martine & Phill were absolutely fantastic hosts. From the moment of our first inquiry they graciously answered all of our questions, provided step by step instructions for the booking and even contacted us once we had arrived to ensure everything was in order. Upon our return home the security deposit was refunded much faster than I had anticipated, which was one more assurance we had selected the right villa. We would highly, highly recommend renting this home and we are sure that you will enjoy working with Martine & Phill as mush as we did. Sincerely, Lisa & family (Canada)

Excellent Villa!

We have recently returned from a wonderful holiday in this spacious, luxurious, well equipped villa. The owners - Martine and Phill - could not have been more helpful in arranging the booking and in providing a wealth of useful information to make our holiday most enjoyable. The villa is well furnished, spotless and catered for our every need. Excellent showers, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, so much space to sunbathe on the terrace outside - and even access to UK television channels. The 12 metre communal swimming pool is only a few yards away, and was seldom used by holidaymakers in the adjacent villas - it was effectively our own private pool! The villa is situated in a lovely quiet residential neighbourhood, yet is only a 10-15 minute walk away from a good choice of restaurants, bars, supermarkets, pharmacy etc. We cannot recommend this property enough! Excellent accommodation and excellent value!

Lovely villa perfect location

We have just had 10 perfect days staying in this lovely villa, the facilities and location had everything we wanted. We spent lazy afternoons by the pool, which was lovely and clean and the gardens were very pretty. We had barbecues on the Terrace which had all you need for relaxing over a glass or two. The villa is done very tasteful, and the kitchen is better equipped than home ! The location is great for beaches, pretty villages, busy resorts and people watching in little restaurants in old Marbella. Martine and Phill are very helpful and nothing is to much trouble. We definitely will go back ...

Fantastic property for a relaxing chill-out holiday in the sun

From the initial enquiry about availability of the villa through to booking confirmation, and then during the period before we departed for Spain communication with the property owners was brilliant. Phone, email and WhatsApp messaging were all used to confirm everything we needed to know, and they provided us with great recommendations on local car hire, restaurants and ideas about things to do during our stay. One is always slightly wary with booking accommodation based on just website photos and reviews, but we struck gold with this villa in Sitio de Calahonda. The location is lovely in a quiet residential area, but with restaurants, bars and shopping within a 10 minute stroll. The villa itself was gorgeous with very spacious living & dining area, three bedrooms with one having an en-suite bathroom, the main bath / shower room and a fully equipped kitchen. The private terrace was beautiful getting the sun pretty much all day, and we spent most of our week relaxing there. It also overlooks the shared pool area which is in a lovely garden setting and about a 50 yard walk from the villa back gate. Internet access was reliable & quick, plus access to UK TV channels was a nice to have although we hardly watched any TV as outside most of the time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and would recommend it, particularly if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing break. We'd have no hesitation in returning.
