We booked this property months in advance specifically because the listing stated it slept 5. After we booked, the listing was changed (at various points it showed “sleeps 2” or “sleeps 4”) and the price dropped. Despite the confusion, we kept our reservation.When we arrived, there were not enough towels or bedding for 5 people. One person on the trundle had no bedding at all. We reached out to the host about the discrepancy and were told the listing would be updated, but that did not help our stay in the moment and we were still left short on basic linens.Misrepresenting guest capacity and then failing to supply adequate bedding and towels made the stay unnecessarily stressful.

This cottage is perfect for 2! Excellent location - close to beaches, restaurants, Newport - yet the neighborhood is very quiet. Parking is easy, check-in was easy - all in all this cottage was a great home base for our short vacation.

Beautiful little place but really for two people

We stayed two nights to attend a wedding in Newport. The place was clean and in a great location, however the pullout couch was extremely uncomfortable. We ended up sleeping on the thin mattress on the floor which was not much better. Recommend you bring an air mattress if you’ll have more than two guests.

Amazing Stay and Location

My family had an amazing stay at this bungalow. It is very clean and offered everything we needed for our stay in Newport. The beach is very close and there are plenty of restaurants and convenience store within walking distance.

Nice property

The house was nice and clean. The listing was originally listed to sleep 5 people which is why I booked it. Before we went I checked again and it was changed to sleep two. I panicked of course but the host assured me it slept 5. There’s one queen bed, a twin trundle and a pullout couch. It slept 5 but not comfortably. There weren’t enough blankets or towels for 5 people either. Regardless of this, it was a very cute and clean property, very close to the beach but I would go back with 2 people only.

Property is beautiful and a very nice place to stay. Listing said sleeps 4 but upon check in it had been changed to two! Fortunately our adult children were not able to attend but it was stressful to have that last minute change and not sure why that would happen. Arrival at night was not very well organized as we were not given the unit number. FYI there is a property address then each unit has a number. We had to try our security code on a few doors before we found ours. Would stay again but now we know what we need to know.

Clean place in good location, but missing key supplies

Pros: Check-in was easy and the location was good for the cliff walk, etc. The place was also very clean. Cons: This is advertised as sleeping 5 adults: queen bed, twin bed, and pull-out couch. There were no sheets or blankets for the pull-out couch. There were only 2 pillowcases total. In addition, part of the reason for getting a VRBO instead of a hotel room is so that you can make use of the kitchen and cook some meals yourself. There were no basic supplies though--we would've had to go out and buy oil, spray, salt/pepper, etc. No coffee pods either.

I just wanted to extend my heartfelt thanks for such a wonderful and welcoming stay. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the cleanliness and charm of the home. It truly felt like a modern beach hut—stylish, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared.The walk to the bay and beach was absolutely beautiful and one of the highlights of our trip. It was the perfect location for a relaxing and adventurous getaway.The only minor issue we encountered was the patio area, which unfortunately wasn’t set up for use during our stay. I’d recommend future guests check that area upon arrival, just in case.Other than that, everything was fantastic. The property was well located and adequate for my needs. It was missing a few key items...dishwasher, small paring knives, more hangers, and a radio. TV remote batteries seem to be running low and may need replacement. I'd consider renting there again.

Quick Trip

Went for the St. Paddy’s day parade with a few friends. We are Salve Alumni and love coming to visit. The place was super cute and in a great location. There was 5 of us so definitely tight quarters but Derek was very accommodating for letting us park a third car down the street. However, there was a lack of items for the kitchen such as pots or sharp knives for cooking and cutting limes. Overall, stay was amazing and would do it again!

Girls Trip to Newport

Clean, very comfortable and roomy, kitchen, bathroom, and bed were great, very pretty, quiet neighborhood, perfect location, very close to beaches, restaurants, and Newport. Instructions from Derek were very clear and easy to follow. We would definitely stay there again.
