"Interesting place to stay! The estate really is beautiful, and my room was very spacious. The AC was a little wonky but otherwise no issues with anything in the room. Shower and tv worked fine. I saw some reviews saying guests couldn’t get in touch with the staff but they answered me pretty quickly when I contacted them. All in all a pretty enjoyable stay"

"We enjoyed our stay here since we could walk to the beach and restaurants. The cottage was clean, but small as the photos show. Best for just 2 or 3 people. Very quiet neighborhood. Short drive to downtown area and the mansions. The wi-fi wouldn't connect for us, but no other issues. "

"The Melville is a perfect location! the Melville is a historic property, so don't expect modern, but for what we wanted it was perfect - the location AND onsite parking! It was also next door to the Vanderbilt Hotel and we enjoyed their cocktails on the rooftop with gorgeous views of the harbor and watched the sunset. Yes, it's old but charming. There is so much to do in Newport that really, all we did at the Melville House was sleep. The bed was comfortable, shower were too small but I...

"We truly enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Inn. The Inn and our room were beautiful, clean and cozy.
Liz was super friendly and helpful, and no details were missed. We enjoyed the daily breakfast, snacks, boardgames, and hot tea in the afternoon! Close walking distance to the wharf - but im assuming the Hilltop name was a nod to thier location - it's uphill from the Wharf!
Would highly recommend!"

"Had the most wonderful stay here, amazing staff and catered for our gluten free requirement with a delicious, huge breakfast. Extremely comfy bed with beautiful decor, and effective air conditioning. Walking distance to the best, most vibrant area of Newport. We only wish we could have stayed longer! We would recommend emailing with any special requests separately as they did not seem to be receiving messages we sent through Expedia."
