"We were a party of 10, getting together to celebrate the 60th birthday party of 2 family members. The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"

"We really couldn't fault this property. We stayed for celebrations for a joint 60th and 90th Birthday. All equipment was available to feed 12 adults for 3 days. Being able to walk on various routes straight from the house was fantastic. We were treated to 3days of glorious weather and spent most of our time(mainly eating!) outside in the lovely garden. Gas BBQ a real bonus. We also had the incredible Arora on the Saturday night. Totally amazing place at very respectable price. Thank You"

"We had a fabulous few days in a lovely cottage. It was situated opposite the village green and there was no problem with parking. There are 2 shops in the village which supplied all immediate needs. A special mention about the bread shop, Dales Bakery, which supplied a range of lovely breads as well as a good breakfast. Would certainly stay here again if we cam to Reeth in the future."

"What a lovely property! Located in a pretty little village with easy access to Kirkby Stephen. Had a lovely 60th birthday weekend for my dad with family coming from Scotland and York. So a perfect meet in the middle for us all. The only blip was that I assumed that there was WiFi so only brought activities for the children that required internet access and a music system that needed WiFi. But that is honestly the only fault that we could find and in all honesty it really didn’t matter. So thank...

"The Hen House cottage was a great place to stay for our trip in the Durham area. The village of Brandon is a beautiful location for going for walks in the countryside and with a great pub/ restaurant called the Bay Horse Inn on 50m away it’s a perfect place to stay. The village is very close to the historic house, chapels and gardens of Ushaw and Brancepeth Castle, which are both excellent places to visit!! Would happily stay here again when visiting the area as it’s a perfect little...
